Reviews of Britz Campervan Hire Queenstown
G.
Very helpful and friendly. Campervan was super clean and we had a fantastic trip. Only wish NZ would make the freedom camping rules more straightforward as every town has their own rules and it was a bit stressful every night trying to figure out where we could and couldn't be. No point renting a self-contained vehicle if you're just going to be staying in a holiday park and no fun sleeping in a parking lot!
c.
travelled around 3000 k's starting in Queenstown, up the west coast to abel tasman then back down the east coast stopping at so many places along the way! A fantastic way to see the south island, so many incredible places I have seen and its all thanks to the service that is provided by the whole team. All the staff where really friendly as was the booking agent on the phone. Really appreciate all the hard work that goes into supplying great vehicles for holidays like mine, great job team and I am already planning the next trip.
E.
Awesome Trip in NZ with a campervan from Britz. Definitely campervan is the way to go for New Zealand as opposed to traditional travel/accommodation. We had no issues with the vehicle and everything was in order. Phone support was amazing for all the small questions we had. Definitely recommend and will do again. Next stop USA!
S.
Everything about our experience went to plan and exceeded our expectations. We were met by friendly staff at Britz Queenstown who took the time to ensure we were familiar with the vans features. The camper was getting towards the older end of the fleet but everything worked on it and it was perfectly clean when we picked it up. The return process was just as painless as the pickup, after a quick inspection we were on our way back to the airport.
J.
Had a ball with our Britz campervan - Kenny. Very comfortable and great to be able to stop anywhere for a cuppa! surprisingly easy to drive and just what we needed for our trip at a pretty reasonable rate.
K.
Had a great trip Queenstown to Auckland. Staff really helpful when flooding meant I had to postpone the trip to start a day later, rearranging ferry booking etc.
Cute wee camper, but plenty big inside with everything I needed. Easy to drive and no problems on any of the roads. Definitely keen to do it again!
D.
Very good service. Efficient, friendly and helpful. Camper was clean, well equipped and great for just the two of us (2-berth Action Pod). Only one minor gripe. The TomTom and wifi device wouldn’t hold a charge for long and wouldn’t charge off the radio USB port. We had to use those under the bed which made using it whilst driving difficult!
M.
We were very happy with our hire from them.
Free WiFi and a nice clean toilet were a nice way to start our trip. And they had tea and coffee supplies available, as well as a kids play corner.
We wanted to pick up our van early to which they allowed, but when we got there the van wasn't ready - so they suggested we go get a meal, and paid the bill for us.
Also we booked a britz van, but the van given to us was a Maui. Not sure what the difference is, but if this happens to you, don't be alarmed.
D.
We had a fantastic time traveling in the Campervan. Everything was good in there. Very useful support crew. No complaints. Thanks
J.
Enjoyed the overall experience of the camper van adventure. It was great to be free to stop or go and not be tied to an itinerary. We did an Otago loop beginning and ending in Queenstown.
Felt the introduction to the vehicle by Britz staff left a lot to be desired. No one asked if it was the 1st time we had used a camper van, it seemed to be assumed that we had some knowledge and the walk through was brief. Had to go back to office couple of times to clarify things before we departed. The van seemed “well used”- lots of chips and dents, the bed was extremely uncomfortably, the windscreen wipers needed replacing and steering wheel vibrated whenever brakes were applied. We were impressed with the provisioning of the van, sufficient crockery, cutlery, linen, pots and pans, etc. The van was reliable and ran well. Pwerhaps when vans are “well used” they should be rented out at a lower rate. Van was definitely not in premium condition. Return check in was efficient and professional and Britz staff member appreciated our constructive comments.

what can I say! absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service from the Queenstown branch! well exceeded my expectations, it was so super easy and the team were super friendly. When we boarded our plane home, I realized I had left items in an overhead cupboard, when I landed in Wellington I emailed Britz to let them know and well.. they had already arranged the items return on a courier - which arrived back to me the next day! so over the moon and excited to book again. thank you all for making our trip that much better. amazing!! 5 stars all the way !

We had a great time in the camper ( though a little attention to cleaning the shower drains and cleaning the floor prior to pick up would have been appreciated. We had to clean hair and gunge from the shower gutter to get it to drain which wasn't pleasant. The floors were dirty and gritty too) . Having said that, the camper was great and we have many great memories. Thanks Maui for the opportunity of spending a month in the South Island. It was just great. The staff made picking up and dropping off the camper very easy too.
A.
Booked Britz but received a Maui vehicle. Either way the whole experience was great and Sarah and Rebecca were really helpful
A.
Very good trip and very good service from the Queenstown team. Easy arrival and departure, which helped a lot. Vehicle was in good condition, though the rear upper fold down bed was problematic and the outside rear passenger seatbelt was jamming a lot. That said, for the price and convenience we felt it was a great family experience. Well done Britz!
A.
We picked up a six-berth campervan from Britz for a nine-day trek around the South Island of New Zealand. The check-out process was quick and we received a brief introduction to our van before we were given our keys. I recommend that you watch the Britz videos before you arrive as that will speed up the process. That said, there is so much variation in the campervan models, take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the specific model you get before heading off. The campervan we got was a Fiat. The ‘house’ part of the campervan was just as we expected. However, there were two interesting things about the ‘car’ part. First, the speedometer was in miles per hour and, of course, New Zealand is kilometer based. The speedometer was marked in kilometers per hour, but in very small numbers, as is often the case in the U.S. Second, the directional signal arm was on the wrong side for New Zealand. It was on the left instead of the right. After driving a rental car for several days before we picked up the campervan, that meant I had to ‘relearn’ where the directional arm was. Not a big deal, but odd nevertheless.
We were concerned about where we were going to buy groceries for our trip. Turns out, there was no reason to worry. There is a Countdown grocery store must minutes away. It’s a large store with everything one would need. Plus, it has a large campervan parking lot. When we arrived, there were about six or seven vans there already.
The check-in process was about the same as the check-out process. We chose the Express Return Pack when we rented, so we didn’t have to refill or empty anything. Given that we spent about four hours on the road to get there, it was very convenient to simply hand them the keys. The Express Return Pack seems expensive, at first, but if you take into consideration a tank full of gas; tank full of propane; and the road user tax ($7.24 per 100 km), it was definitely worth it.

Britz Queenstown was absolutely fantastic to deal with. The staff were really helpful from pickup to drop-off. We had a little issue while we had the vehicle and the THL assistance team were equally great, got it all sorted within a couple of hours. I will certainly use them again. Great team, great service, friendly staff, nice vehicles.
K.
An awesome holiday experience and many happy memories made. Easy pick up, great quality camper, great service. Only minor negative aspect was the noisy water pump and heater in the van at night but this appears to be trait of the Mercedes Sprinter Motorhome. Highly recommended and we will be back for more...many thanks to the THL team.
m.
The team at Queenstown were amazing to deal with. Super friendly and very helpful. Everything was explained in detail and all help offered. A few points on the camper though... we had the 6 berth frontier.. seatbelts in back are to small for adults to wear, there was no hose fitting to go on to a tap to attach the hose for fresh water and finally take an air bed to put on top of beds as they are all super hard and very uncomfortable. Camper is very warm though and fully stocked with all essential kitchen items and lots of bedding.
D.
Excellent vehicle and easy to drive. APP is essential as so much information is explained onsite and not all is remembered. Great customer service. Left A camera charge behind. Britz made immediate contact and posted charger back. Thanks Britz
L.
My partner booked the campervan as a surprise birthday trip and I can say I had the best time. The staff at the Queenstown branch were really friendly and helpful upon pick up and drop off. Would 100% recommend Britz to anyone thinking about hiring one.
L.
Enjoyed our family holiday in Britz Campervan.
Found everything was provided. Only stress was drop off arrangements. We rang 0800 number to organise drop off. Our flight did not fit with office hours and we were told by 0800 contact that was nothing they could do. Luckily local Christchurch branch was more helpful and accommodated us to drop off early
L.
Had an awesome time travelling around the lower South Island, the camper van met all expectations, excellent customer service and everything went without a hitch. Vehicle was reasonably new and came with all the rattles expected from a camper but Made for a very comfortable 9 days travelling. Pick up and drop off made very easy, will be booking another trip with THL for sure.
J.
Great experience. Picked us up from the airport (my one small complaint was that we waited longer than they had advised). Vehicle was ready for us on arrival, and it was a newer one than we had booked.
A small bit of paperwork and an introductory lesson on taking care of the vehicle, and we were off. Took us about an hour, including some unpacking time.
Vehicle itself was reliable, clean, and met our needs. We would not have had such a fantastic vacation without it!
Two things I liked about the Queenstown depot that I did not see at Christchurch where we dropped off:
1. A kid's room to entertain the little ones while Dad is getting the campervan ready.
2. A shelf of foodstuffs and sundries that people had left behind, free for the taking, to reuse.
R.
Couldn't have been happier with the service and the van we booked! Van was near new, in amazing condition and drove like a dream and the fitout and equipment was perfect. Was able to sleep 2 comfortably, store all our stuff and cook delicious meals all within the confines of the van. Pick up and drop off was simple and I'd recommend the additional fee for the quick drop off - definitely worthwhile!
S.
We rented a Britz Voyager for the four of us in July. All mentioned inclusions were in the van. The check in of the van was seamless with lovely staff from Queenstown branch. The car runs well. We had a breakdown a day before our checkout on a Sunday. The staff provided us with a car and got our van towed. Overall, a good experience.
V.
Good campervan, easy pickup and drop off. The only thing lacking is the shuttle was out of service and when we dropped off it was raining and we had to walk to the airport. They did offer to call us a taxi (at our own cost).
P.
Very easy pick up and drop off service. The van was very clean and tidy with all the gear that we could have needed. The 24 hour help desk is great service. Fantastic way to see New Zealand. Comfortable to drive with plenty of space.
C.
Overall, a good experience. Picked up our camper from Queenstown and had a speedy and comprehensive pick up, clean van, fully equipped, questions answered. Dropped in Christchurch, again quick and hassle free.
Our only issues during our trip were, firstly, that the bed was very uncomfortable... We are obviously not expecting extreme comfort but I do expect better even when camping / staying in a van. Our other issue was that our sink didn't drain properly, which we didn't realise until we were at Mount Cook and miles from the nearest Britz - it then meant we couldn't use our kitchen fully until we were able to detour to a Britz stop. Once there they sorted it asap and their customer service couldn't be faulted. Would absolutely rent with them again but would perhaps make a few more checks before driving off!
M.
AMAZING! Really easy to drive the van and to maneuver, even in NZ steep roads. Everything was in perfect condition. A lot of room inside for more than 2 people. We were super comfortable and enjoyed every minute of it. The fact of being able to park wherever you wanted to enjoy the view and relax while you cook or lay in your own couch, that's something only the Van can give you. I recommend them 100%
K.
We had a great time in the camper van travelling around NZ. There were no issues and camper held all the facilities to enable us to have a relaxed stress free trip. Staff were friendly and helpful both at the start of the trip and then again on return.
Would recommend Britz and THL to other travellers.
C.
Our experience by the Queenstown office was good, could have had more of an orientation to the Action Pod and wifi. I think Britz should provide an extra blanket since nights were very cool on the South Island in March. Also they could add more cutlery, only 2 of everything was provided. The mattresses were very hard, necessitating us to purchase a piece of memory foam for greater comfort. I think they need to check that everything is working. The sink pump leaked but fortunately the water drained into the bowl. The fridge battery was defective so that overnight the fridge did not stay cold. Britz did rectify the problem when they sent us to a repair shop in Invercargill. The stove grill was missing also but it wasn't a huge issue because we tended to use the community kitchens at the holiday parks. Of all the problems, by far was the lack of comfort of the bed. We rented a Britz RV 6 years ago, at that time there was a radio feature that offered info and suggestions of interesting things to do and see along the way. This was a fantastic but no longer available. That should be offered again.
R.
Applies to all TFL.
We paid 25 bucks a night extra for a max 2 year old 6 birth. Within minutes the cupboard doors were flying open and the rear of the van didn't look right. More on that later. The cupboards had to be retained with various bits of cardboard to try and jam them shut. Every day, repeat.
After 4 days we were descending the Lindis pass aiming to go to Wanaka, when a noise alerted us to a problem...stopping a big van anywhere down there is dangerous and by the time we found something a quick look showed the water tank had broken it's bracket and was dragged down and lost its entire capacity dragging on the road. There was no cell phone coverage so we got some heavy-duty boot laces and tried to hold it in place. Many many calls to the SOS line later, at their insistence, we called into Cromwell where a mechanic took the tank out completely so we could drive back to Queenstown to get a replacement van. " See you in 20 minutes!" She said and we wondered if anyone at TFL had ever driven the 80 odd K's in a camper....an hour and a half later we called into Maui and got the replacement and 15 minutes later we were driving away again. Great!
Then the cupboards started crashing open again....long story short: you are pretty much on your own and while SOS is eager to help they have not ability to help when you break down.
A.
We loved every second in our campervan. This was the first time for the whole family in a campervan and our 4 years old son and my parents really enjoyed it. The customer service at pick up and droff off was amazing. We will do it again soon. Highly recommend this unique experience. Thanks Britz team.
N.
Great company to hire from. From the moment we picked up our Camper we knew we would be well looked after. No hard sell on extras but we did take advantage of one and it saved us on Diesel charges in NZ! When I come back I will no doubt use them again!
S.
Nice campers! Service is also okay. Our camper was a bit old, so we had some complaints (especially the bed). The manager at the office gave us a partial refund for it, good solution. The office for check in and check out is only open between 9.00 and 15.30, which is not really suiting for travelers. No late check out possible. Office is only at the airport, so if your flight is at night, you still need a taxi and a place to store your luggage.
h.
Great van for tackling all the steep roads in the South Island. A bit of a boneshaker but a reliable drive. It was a 4 berth, which was the right size for 2 of us - not sure we would have been able to fit 4 adults inside!
Had an interesting experience with a pipe coming apart and water going all over the shower/toilet floor, but this was fixed by a fellow campervan driver!
All in all it gave us the opportunity to go off the beaten track and really explore this beautiful country.
M.
This was our very first experience driving and staying in a camper van. Initially, I was excited yet nervous about it, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Our vehicle was very smooth to drive and its facilities were just perfect. My husband and I both have back issues and we were worried about the mattress. The mattress also turned out to be surprisingly good. The only downside was the GPS which was not user friendly at all and it kept switching off. Other than that, we made great memories driving and staying in our motorhome.
D.
These people are super friendly, helpful and very efficient. The shop is well stocked and lots of parking
T.
Check in at Queenstown was a really BAD experience. Lady who was showing us the campervan (blonde with german accent) was in a hurry, and did not set up the gps+wifi we had booked. She said we should do it by ourselves once we were outside the premises, and that never worked.
As it was the first time hiring a motorhome we had lots of questions, and she kept saying “look at the video” and “I don’t have time”.
Dozens of simple things she could have told her, which would have taken her 3 minutes, would have saved us time and phone calls to the help desk number.
I had to go back from the campervan 3 times as we had to wait more than 15 minutes for a booster seat. Everybody seemed to be in a very bad mood and transfering the issue to somebody else.
Only one very nice guy from Argentina was kind enough to assist us even though we were not “assigned”to him.
Campervan was in good condition (except for the wifi that never worked) spacious and easy to drive and we really enjoyed it, although if I could go back I would look to hire a more modern model. Our motorhome had almost 200k kms, and you could tell.
Check out at Christchurch was a totally different story. There was great customer service, fast, simple and with great attitude from the lady at the counter even though we were dozens of people returning the van at the same time. She even gave me the refund for the wifi which I really appreciated it, and organized a quick and cheap transfer back to Christchurch with a very nice and polite driver.
To my great positive surprise, I received an email the following day, saying we had forgotten in the motorhome a wallet with documents, credit cards and money.
In 30 minutes I had it delivered home. That was really nice!
All in all, I would recommend britz to friends and family but would definitely avoid the Queenstown office.
L.
The campervanning was one of our bucketlist and we are so pleased that there was a promo since the regular price is expensive. It was a great experience, definitely we will do it again. We had a roadtrip from Queenstown-Wanaka-Twizel-Tekapo-Oamaru-Dunedin-Queenstown. We were with other 4 couple friends who also rented campervans, so it was fun.
The Britz staffs were accomodating and nice.
K.
The people at the rental site were very friendly and helpful, and booking was simple. However, the camper van was rather dented and tattered, and also had leaks so we had water pooling on the floor for a couple of days. We did not have any mechanical trouble, and the van was easy enough to drive and park. More detailed information about where one can camp AND what the campsites are like would be helpful... for the price of the rental and the fairly low quality of some of the DOC camping areas along the Milton road I would have chosen a different path for our week there and rented a car and stayed in lodges or B&Bs. For a trip longer than a week the campervan might have been a better value.
K.
We had a great time in our camper van. It had everything we needed in good working order. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a minor problem with the TomTom not charging properly from the USB in the van so I plugged in my phone and used that for navigation instead which worked well.
T.
Fantastic service, booked everything online and was called if there were any concerns leading up to my booking. The van was amazing and we got more than we bargained for in terms of space, amenities and beds! Really easy to drive even in the wind and rain. Made my first experience driving a campervan super enjoyable.
B.
Easy check in and check out process, campervan relatively intuitive to use, only area for improvement is the fridge stank and stank out the campervan so would advise Britz to ensure fridges are cleaned and aired out, especially with such a high turn over at the moment. Otherwise, great experience!! Would recommend.
G.
The front counter was a bit of a whirlwind experience, but the woman who showed us the actual campervan was excellent. As first-timers, we had no major issues with the campervan, and we were happy with the service. Ours was a new (2 years-old) model, and it ran perfectly. Completely happy with the experience.
T.
This was our first time in a campervan & we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were told that most people leave the bed in place all trip but if you do that it severely cuts down your space. It doesn't take much to take apart & put together at night & it means you have so much more room & a table for eating on.
C.
Excellent experience. Everything you need for a mobile home. Easy to understand filling up and draining water.
My first time driving an automatic...but easy to grasp.
Really friendly staff at pick-up and drop off. Got us shuttle to hotel, which was great.
Just a tiny point...as everything is provided in the van......there could be a mirror stuck under the table, haha.
J.
The complete package. From pretravel assistant to drop off, the 'Britz experience' was only positive. Delightful staff particularly those encountered in queenstown, helpful tips on shopping locally to free shopping bags in the van, all contributed to a great hassle free way of seeing New Zealand. We would recommend and use again. It has young, polite, refreshing staff always helpful to the slightly inexperienced first time camper!!!!
C.
Great camper, had everything we needed, drove well, would definitely get one again. The only thing was the seat cushions in the dining part, they kept moving from under our kids as we traveled, otherwise everything else was perfect.
N.
Absolutely loved this van! Can’t imagine a better way to see New Zealand. Complete with warm showers, a kitchen to make delicious homemade meals on the road, and such a comfortable bed! The van is so easy to use and spacious and made for the most luxurious trip! Thank you Britz!!
M.
We spent 7 days touring around the South Island in a four birth camper. We did have some issues but most of these were able to be solved by ringing their help line. It needs to be reinforced when you are setting off on your trip that this number is there to help all problems. We thought this was a number for mechanical issues only, something like the RACQ. If we had have know this we would not have waited so long before calling this number when we had problems with our hot water not working and then our water not working. Both problems were fixed by the friendly guys at the Help Centre quite easily, if only we'd known!
We did have a problem with our top double bed not holding in position also, this was quite frustrating for the person sleeping on the bottom bunk, very restricting when trying to get in and out of bed.
Back in Queenstown the guys were very apologetic, of course, but they did offer us a small refund for our inconvenience which was appreciated.
That was our first camper van experience and now that we have experience we would have no problem doing a second and a third, and yes we would use Britz again.
r.
I have had a wonderful experience with Britz/Maui in NZ. The service was fantastic. The contact mid trip to see if I was enjoying my trip just showed how much they value their customers regardless of the size of this company. I would highly recomend them to anyone considering a campervan trip. You couldn't go wrong. I have managed alone aged 70 and with a chronic spinal curve so if that was possible for me it is going 2 b a piece of cake for anyone of any age. Go for it, Rose from Ireland
D.
Very good organization (and great occupations for kids :)) to take our campervan. All was correct and we were glad to have the all inclusive insurance pack, with a GPS and 4G data included. The welcome from the staff was efficient and friendly.
L.
The vehicle gave us some issues (shower water leaking to the walk way, heater wasn’t working) along the way which the friendly and responsive staffs attended to us promptly.
The build of the vehicle certainly wasn’t as easy to operate. For example, it took a lot of effort to set up each bed/table. Certain windows were hard to open. Vehicle room heater died halfway while we were freedom camping which we figured out that it might be due to drop in battery voltage.
The vehicle itself was not fully operational without plug in (we were comparing it to the ones in Alaska where there is a mini genset built in). For example, the main supply for microwave and 230V was not available.
All in all, still a pretty decent vehicle if you were to park in the holiday parks each day. The friendly and approachable staffs from Britz has certainly made the entire experience much better.
J.
Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Camper was clean and well presented with all costs clearly articulated. Definitely recommend as a way to see the country / travel and already looking forward to our next trip.
P.
Wow. What a wonderful holiday in clean air, fresh temperatures and nature everywhere. We had a great time in Queenstown, Wanaka and Tepako with horse riding, hikes, jet skis, bike riding and more. It was great how convenient it was being able to drive our van around, park in so many picturesque places and explore. What's more the camp sites (holiday parks) where all clean and quiet with amazing facilities. Can't wait to do it again next year!
H.
The Britz (ˋblitz’) team in Queenstown provided super friendly, fast and highly professional service. No issues picking up and returning our camper - plus a free shuttle to the airport, which was great! Thank you!
K.
We rented a 6 person campervan. At first the sight of the big size campervan had shaken our confidence. But once on the road, the experience is totally opposite.
You'll drive with confidence and the big windows allow the passengers to have a great view of the scenery along the road.
Inside of the campervan is feels clean and modern. Smell fresh and comfortable with the beds and the bedding sheet.
I think everyone should take the package that includes mobile heater as it can spread the heat evenly across the living, dining and sleeping area.
Last but not least, it is really a ultimate experience for road traveling around New Zealand and we have so mucb fun out it. Everyone should at least try once to experience it and you'll addicted to the campervan lifestyle.
J.
Hired 6 berth campervan for 5 days.
Pick up was easy and so was drop off. We got the Express drop off so didn't need to do anything other than fold the linen and do any dishes. Easy.
H.
We have been in NZ for 6 weeks and hired a campervan from Britz. We started in Queenstown an ended in Auckland. The pickup and return of the van didn’t take much time and the staff of Britz was very pleasant and patient with us. We travelled 4000 km without any problem. Next time we visit NZ we’ll rent a Britz again!
J.
My fiance and I had a wonderful holiday on our roadtrip across New Zealand. We started off our holiday picking our Campervan up in Queenstown and started our two week journey throughout the New Zealand before finishing our holiday in Auckland. The campervan was very efficient on diesel fuel ($100-$130 to fill up the large tank, depending on the price of Diesel where you're filling up), easy to maintain and dump waste and refill water. Came with a tv, so I would definitely recommend bringing a couple DVDs (or buying some cheap tv series from a JB hi-fi) or even bringing a USB full of movies, just for the nights you're looking to relax after a long day on the road and exploring the sights and activities. We honestly couldn't fault the campervan if we tried, and if we're back in New Zealand on another roadtrip we would definitely book through Britz and recommend them to our friends and family.
Thank you, Britz, for helping us have the best holiday possible.
A.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Much cheaper deals traveling from South to North to Christchurch or Auckland.
Only downside:
Initial walkthrough by their staff at Queenstown was not very as informative as it could hv been had he possibly had a checklist of items to go thru.
It felt rushed & many things he should hv told us about were not even mentioned (maybe he assumed we were seasoned campervan travellers which we're NOT) so took us a while to resolve issues, trail & error...
R.
My wife and I rented from Britz in Queenstown while we were on our honeymoon. We drove it around the south island for 4 days (short holiday, damn American PTO) and we loved it. It is SO beautiful and we came at the beginning of January which is the start of Summer in New Zealand.
The condition of the camper van was adequate (the cushions covering the two bench seats inside had a burn hole in one and the other had brown marks streaked across it that looked like someone used the little potty and wiped their poo hands on it, but it didn't smell like poo so idk).
The back kitchen consisted of a hand washing/dishwashing station, a grill, and a small refrigerator. The kitcken was stocked with two plates, bowls, cups, general utensils, two pots, a pan, some dish rags, a sponge, and some soap.
The TomTom that they provided to us with the Britz package (covers all damage to the van in the case of an accident) could not display at full brightness without running out of battery due to the charging block not outputting enough current (only 1 amp). Also the Wifi that was supposed to be part of the Britz package (1 Gb free) never worked.

Our 4 Berth Campervan to be relocated back to Auckland was ready for pickup on time, it was lovely & clean plus well kitted out for our journey
Anyone planning this type of 7 day tour its a “highly recommendation from us both “ we plan to repeat another relocation again next year
H.
Was a nice campervan and had everything required except as stated that everything is checked etc before pick up we found when we left the Queenstown pick up centre that the fuel was only half full so somebody obviously didn't check but when we returned to drop the campervan off addressed the issue and with proof gave a credit so all in all was ok .

We had a problem with the Merc Van in Riverton. (It was imobile) It may have been a language problem with the first guy we phoned at Maui? Dunno
Ultimately we received fantastic service from Maui.
We highly recommend this Company as you really find out how good (or bad) a Company is when something goes wrong.
A big thank you
b.
Amazing Experience, Van performed good, Very comfortable and not to cramped with two kids. Thanks
H.
Audrey (the name of our campervan) and Tom (tomtom) were great company! Super easy to drive and clean, comfortable campervan to drive 3500 odd kms in 6 days. Great staff and support systems. Highly recommendable.
T.
Couldn’t recommend these guys enough! We picked our camper up from Christchurch & dropped off at Queenstown. Both staff members we came in contact with at both locations were so friendly & helpful. Best way to travel around NZ, Thankyou!
M.
Booked a camper with my friend, we had the best time exploring! This is such a great way to see NZ! Fantastic service, chill definitely hire again
B.
General state of van was correct, with no dysfunction.
Staff was polite, but the pick-up in Queenstown is very crowded, and it is not normal that transfering luggage from our car to the van had to be made outside the gates.
L.
RV was clean and waiting. Had a few issues to address upon arrival. Could give a few more instructions on usage. When checking back in at Christchurch a week later, lady was much more helpful explaining stuff that would have been nicer to know at beginning. They were friendly and helpful. RV was just perfect.
A.
A few minor issues in the Campervan such as toilet flushing not always working and the air conditioner not cooling down properly, but an overall great experience with Britz !

We liked our trip in the campervan. We would pick a different campervan for our next trip no fault of britz tho. I just know what we need and what we can do without on a camper. Would love to get it at a similar price too
D.
Great service, friendly staff, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday :)
H.

The best part of Britz was the help we received by Jen in Queenstown. She gave us our introduction to the camper and then helped us when we had to stop in to fix a broken fridge. Jen in Queenstown is the best!

The van was very nice. The pick up and return process were very smooth. Nothing but great things with our camper van hire and trip. Thanks!
C.
24 be on road assistance is nothing more than a 24 hour answering service .took 3 days to get a call back , and that was only to direct to a service station. Iots of problems with a vehicle that was not checked out properly before delivery.
P.
Wasn't sure about campervan initially but very gald we tried it in the end. I think it's best to plan on driving 3 hours a day or less and just do it for a week or less.
T.
