We did a 5 day relocation for Maui. The staff in the branch were friendly and were quick to do the necessary paperwork and show us the features of the 6 berth motorhome . Everything in the camper worked fine and it was clean and tidy. Drop off in Christchurch also went well. As this was a relocation it is the policy that the vehicle should be dropped off by 12.00 am. We were advised that we could call the drop-off branch and ask for extension, but it would be nice if a later time could be arranged when making the booking.

Had a great experience from top to bottoms. Isabel was super cheery and very informative. The van was great, very clean, and modern feeling. It was a great home away fro home.

Got our car in Auckland and return the car in Queenstown. The location of Maui motorhome rental is near the airport. But they providing shuttle service from the office to airport. Else you can walk to there actually. Like around 15mins walking distance. We got the express check out package. So the check out is fine for us. Just need to brush the car a little as they said it is too dirty on the floor. You need to return it in clean condition Other than that it's all good

We decided for our first girls trip in a while we could explore in a maui motorhome. The motorhome was amazing, had everything we needed / wanted and more. Made our trip away so easy & so fun. Georgia who works in the Queenstown branch made our trip so easy as she explained everything we needed to know and answered all the questions we had. Would recommend getting a camper on your next trip.

Very organised staff.Detailed all aspects of the motorhome(Cascade 4 berth) to us.Vehicle only 1 year old-33000 kms.No problems with motorhome on trip of 13 day-ran well,great view from cab and very easy to drive.The return of motorhome was easy as we had taken the Express return Pack and didn't have to top up gas,LPG or empty toilet(also included road user charges for diesel.We felt the shower/toilet cubicle was very small.Didn't use the shower(used showers at Top10 Holiday Parks instead).Diesel heater as well as supplied fan heater worked well - -6 deg weather on a couple of days.Fridge kept everything well chilled,gas hob and microwave worked well.One suggestion would be a better step arrangement on side door.The motorhome is quite high off the ground and can be difficult to get into,especially if you have mobility problems,also a handle on each side of entrance would help-currently only 1 on rh side.Overall,we had a wonderful time,taking advantage of Maui's special offer to NZers.Would recommend the experience to all.Thanks Maui.

A real New Zealand trip! It was my first campervan experience, we stayed at Purakaunui Bay with thousands of sheep! Had an amazing ocean view front of our van! The Van was super clean as well!! Isabel was super nice too! Highly recommend all the stuff!

The trip was amazing. Gaben was awesome at pick up and drop off! Queenstown is beautiful, places, people, nature... snow mountains. 🤩 We did the Milford Sound experience, and we end up at Mount Cook! We took a 2+1, very comfortable vehicle and easy to drive. Definitely a experience to share and repeat! Thank you THL crew for providing the best experience ever!!!

We have just come back from our first campervan trip. I can highly recommend it. The service at the Queenstown office was amazing. I would like to say a special thank you to Georgia. She had everything sorted for us for a no hassle pick up and drop off. She is so friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. The van was super reliable and comfy. Well kitted our with everything you could need. We will definitely be doing it again.

Our recent experience in renting two campervans ( River model) was mostly a good experience. Maui Staff at the beginning were lovely but not terribly interested in being detailed in telling us the in's and outs of the working of the van which took us a few days to understand. One of our vans would not start 4 of the 5 mornings and so our itinerary was changed and we werent able to go in convoy with the other as we had to wait for the AA to come and charge us up. I think in total we lost about 6 -7 hours. We were only refunded the road user charges which amounted to just over $100.00. Not very satisfactory in my opinion. A days refund also would have been more appropriate. Other than that they are very well equiped and clean ( although one had a smelly fridge and windscreen water was empty in both vans). The vans were fun to travel in and very comfortable . It was just a shame we lost out on some of our tourist sights.

Great Maui van, was clean and tidy and well equipped with everything we needed. The only downside was the attitude of the guy on reception in Christchurch when we picked it up. They also had used a silicone spay on the floor with was a bit dangerous at first. Overall though a great holiday and would definitely use agin

We took advantage of the locals discount and booked a camper between June and July this year. The service was amazing, we were made to feel very welcome in the store in Queenstown and the van we had exceeded our expectations. I would like to say a special thanks to Georgia, who was so lovely and helpful during the whole process. Incredible team, they should all be very proud of how they run the operation.

Vehicle very clean and well presented, the perfect size for a single who wants to explore NZ and have the freedom of being self contained. All dishes, utensils and cooking equipment is supplied, simply jump in the.vehicle and go. The staff at Queenstown were friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend downloading the THL app as its a great resource while travelling around. I can't wait to do this again.

6 berth very disappointing Four women hired two of these but 3 days out of five one of our vans would not start as battery too flat despite not using any power apart from the lights, all night. Cost us valuable time when attempting to leave campsite each morning as we had to wait for at least an hour for help We plugged into the power every night Some of the people on the 0800 number didn’t have a clue mechanically It meant that every time in the morning we were apprehensive We could not reach the Queenstown office via phone which was frustrating

It was really great that I was able to charge my devices while I wasn't driving the van. The shower was really good. I found the space to be perfect and size from my needs. I found a staff in Queenstown and Christchurch all to be very helpful and accommodating.

We had the best travel experience with Maui 2+1 berth camper van. It was in great condition and the service was great. Thanks to the “get moving” package we had a budget friendly holiday. Doing it all over again soon:)

Staff at the pick up point were very good when we arrived and on getting the van it appeared to be great - very clean and tidy. However as we got into our trip we experienced a few issues - the reversing camera did not work (this is a very useful tool when reversing something like one of these vans and meant that we always had to have someone on point to direct the driver if reversing in "tight" situations). Secondly we had a message on the speedo screen saying service overdue by 5000kms. Not an issue as such but we couldn't remove it and could not check other info like kms at outset and kms travelled etc.This was a strange one since we travelled with friends in 2 other vans and despite parking up our van and using theirs for a 200km trip we had travelled more kms than they did at the end of our holiday ???? The other major problem was that our waste water tank had not been emptied before we collected the van and subsequently after using the sink once to wash a couple of glasses we ended up with waste water backing up, filling the shower cubicle and pouring through our van running into the drivers cab. Not a pleasant experience and as you can imagine very smelly. Luckily we spotted it before it had run into our personal effect and suitcases stored under the table. Ringing Maui re these things during our trip produced no help whatsoever. My warning to anyone is double check that your gas cylinder has been filled and that your waste water tank and toilet waste container have been emptied before you leave

We had a Maui River and couldn't say I was disappointed, the camper was well equipped and clean. We had some issues on road and their assistance was brilliant. Would highly recommend!

Excellent, friendly pick up from Queenstown and even easier to return at Auckland after 5 weeks with the express return package. Drove over 6000 km in 5 weeks visiting both islands and all over the place. Brilliant holiday facilitated by the very easy to drive Maui campervan. 6 berth van for the 2 of us made for lots of space inside and ability to leave table up all the time. Good fridge and cooking facilities included. Had a brilliant time and will be returning in the future.

Came here to replenish out towels and bed linen and was immediately impressed with the service I received from the staff member there. I had called ahead to see if they had any spare linen and towels and they had warned me it was a busy period so they may not have everything but that they would do their best. They were able to replenish everything in no time and even helped us with some issues we had with the van. Super friendly service and overall, very happy with the Campervan we rented.

Bloomin' Marvelous For the 2 weeks we used the Maui Motorhome in NZ, it performed beautifully. Backed up with a very efficient, friendly and professional team who looked after us very well indeed. Top tip, take up the extra covers offered, gives you extra piece of mind. Grabbed a 6 berth and traveled the central S louth island- served the purpose, was roomy but everything rattled when you drove and the swabs for the back bed was not that comfortable.

Incredible Service! Don't hesitate. We rented a Maui Beach elite, it was emmaculately clean, and in great shape! Extra linen and towels were given at no extra cost, quick and seemless checkin and check out. Above all though, i left a very expensive item by mistake in the van and then left to go back home, out of the country. THL (the parent company), reported that the cleaners found my item and immediately reported so, the team at THL, in particular Georgia, went above and beyond to get the item back to me via registered express post. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! 10/10

Easy pick up (QT) & drop off (Auck). Van drove really well. Lots of space. Loads of pots & pans. Massive fridge. 2 lots of beds (1 x double) & (small) single. Shower great. Loads of windows with no double glazing so cold at night or hot in day.

The beds are of poor quality, so I was forced to buy an extra mattress. The sound system of the camper was bad. Blue tooth was missing, so unable to play spotify. The oven was of very poor quality. We also enjoyed the beautiful country, but given the price, a critical note. (Original) Het zijn prima campers. Helaas zijn er weinig concurrenten is in NZ. Hierdoor bepalen zij de prijs en de kwaliteit. De bedden zijn namelijk slechte kwaliteit, waardoor ik genoodzaakt was een extra matras te kopen. De geluidsinstallatie van de camper was slecht. Blue tooth ontbrak, dus geen spotify kunnen afspelen. De oven was van zeer slechte kwaliteit. Verder hebben we genoten van het mooie land, maar gezien de prijs, toch even een kritische noot.
