D.My family and I were stranded in Taupo after our car had a major electrical fault. Due to Covid all of the corporate rental car companies had abanded Taupo. Though Rad, a local privately owned company picked up my call well outside of business hours in the weekend and had a car ready for us to return home. Excellent service at highly competitive rates.Thank you the Peters family.
K.Small family business owned car rental that provides good service at a great price. Had a little timing issue with management but their handling of the situation and overall service was impressive. I would return to rent from them again.

P.Online booking didn’t have some details such as exact car make and model. So I called radcarhire Taupo. Leanne had all the answer for me. she even booked everything while being over the phone and sent out-confirmation email with out any payment. This was probably one the best car hire deal. The car had all the features and it was easy to deal with Radcar hire Taupo.

G.Highly recommend these guys! Car broke down outside Taupo and needed to get back to Auckland. They came back to the rental location after hours on a Saturday to let us rent a 2017 Highlander to get all our camping stuff back to Auckland. Very flexible on return and just great to rent from. Rad will be my first choice in NZ from now on
R.I highly recommend RAD Taupo central, Leanne went out of her way to ensure we had the best experience with our RAD rental car by arranging a parking site in Taupo for our motorhome while we went down to National Park for a couple of days. Best rental car service we have ever encountered by far!
n.I rented a car an hour from Taupo, the fan belt broke and the car overheated. This rental was going to cost $300 Because off the extra charges for doing a lot off ks and another fee for returning the car (out off hours). The fan belt breaking was a blessing in disguise. I went to RaD car hire and got a rental with mostly the same amount off ks to do and same return time it cost $70 and this car didnt have issues. So thanks RaD i got a cheaper and more reliable car for a fraction off the price.
D.Leanne at RaD in Taupō was awesome. I needed a car fairly short notice. I went to the rental car companies I’d normally look at first and was taken aback to see how much their rates had increased ($235 per day for a small car?!?) - RaD rates were almost a third of that, and the Mazda 2 I had was almost new and really clean. Cannot fault the service. I can highly recommend Leanne and RaD in Taupō.
S.I very rarely (if at all) do reviews. However I found RaD Car Hire fantastic. We hired a 7 seater with baby car seat for our family holiday recently. Super friendly and accommodating and quite possibly the easiest and most convenient car rental experience I have had in years of rentals. I Would definitely use them again and recommend them.
J.My car broke down on the way to Taupo. While it was being fixed, I hired a car from RaD. They were very kind to myself and my child. The rates were very good, and the car was clean and serviceable. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

M.Got a Mitsubishi Colt for rent. Great car, very smooth driving and all clean. Rates are competitive, good value! The owner offered to take us back to the city after giving the car back, which is nice.
It was not too easy to find the drop off place behind the building (a sign wouldn't be bad there) but we managed.
Overall the owner was very friendly and helpful. He recommended some places to see and gave us directions. I recommend this place for anyone looking to rent a car in Rotorua.

M.Really great no-issue experience with RAD. Less than 1/2 of what Avis just down the street wanted. RAD’s car was older with more miles than a car you would typically get from the likes of Avis... but does it matter? The car was the same model, clean and ran well.
J.Great communication and service from Leanne. We hired for just a day to see some sights around Taupo and it worked out fantastic, we were able to flit around and see some sights and it worked out much cheaper than if we'd had to get taxis. Highly recommend!

K.I had a smooth experience with RaD car hire. I called the office and they sent one person over to the Haka lodge in Taupo to take us back to RaD office and get the procedures done with quickly. The car was well maintained and was smooth and helped us complete our planned activities on that day. RaD caar hire is very efficient and is much recommended

N.A friendly smile and a gorgeous little modern car greeted us on our arrival. Car booster seat was installed for the grandie. Easy drop off...just park at the airport (where you can find a space) and leave key in the drop box. Hassle free. Many thanks RaD Car Hire.
P.Fair pricing but please check your tyres when u rent a car rented on that had next to to tread on the tyres nearly lost it in the wet on a slight corner under breaking. Went back and was swapped in to another car but that also had bad tyres on it nearly to the wires on the inside 3rd time lucky was put in to a car with good tyres and she took the other 2 out of the rental system for repair

P.The representative educated me that all Nissan Tilda's have grabby and noisy rear brakes, and that this is perfectly normal and safe, and that my car was not mechanically defective. She facilitated upgrading to a more expensive rental car that met my expectations.
