T.Customer service was great from start to finish. The staff were very kind and professional. There was a bit of miscommunication from both ends, however, the staff dealt with this in a professional and timely manner. I would hire from this company again and would recommend it to all. The car was great, clean and easy to use. If I could give 10 stars I would.
L.I’ve used GO Rentals a couple of times now and the process for me has always been very straight forward, easy and affordable. I’ve rented the same car (Toyota C-HR Turbo) and it’s such a great driver, and they’ve been in excellent condition each time. I have some trips coming up and will absolutely be using GO Rentals for my car rental needs.
M.Easy to book. Insurance options and fees not displayed until after date/car confirmed . Free shuttle was quick to pick me up from Wellington terminal. The whole hire process was digital. It was a bit tricky signing on the tablet for a novice, but I think I got there with something resembling a signature. When I dropped car off , I elected to walk to terminal for some mask free air, and it took maybe 6-7 mins. All in all happily recommended :)
L.Rented a Telsa Model 3 which was a fun driving experience. However while the rental pickup and return was pretty seamless I find their deposit process highly unsatisfactory. They charge a $1500 on your credit card at the time of the rental and keep that charge active for at least 7 business days from the day of the rental pickup even though the car has been returned and signed off as there being no damage.. That means you have $1500 less availability on your card. When I called they said they could not change this as it is automatic but that means their reservation system needs to be changed to release the bond once the car has been returned.
I.Will always be a GO rentals fan. Car was superb, pick up was smooth and of course, no issues with insurance. I go out of my way to advocate and advertise this car rental company.

M.Great experience. The GO app worked well and everything was sorted through the app like booking, payment and license details before Pickup. We hired a Tesla and the main functions (like unlock and lock, open boot) were integrated into the GO app. Pickup and Drop-off was super easy. We will be back in the future to hire another EV. c.5th time using Go Rentals and never disappointed. Each time we've experienced great customer service, efficiency at check in/out and quality vehicles that are spotless. Pick up and drop off shuttles are excellent too.
D.We had about a 20 minute wait when we arrived, the office only opened at 08:00 but it was ANZAC day too.

The only issue was walking a short distance to the car yard from the airport on a very windy Wellington day. Grateful tho that we were shuttled back to the airport when we returned the car. A.I have used GO Rentals many times, I've always had the best service and perfect pricing with new and immaculately clean cars. I ordered the shuttle through the app and they arrived within minutes. The staff are welcoming and always happy to assist, I've never had any issues. Checking in was an easy process, I used one of their self serve kiosks and found it quick and simple to use. Dropping the car off was easy and fast, the shuttle bus drove us back to the airport which was nice. I highly recommend using GO Rentals
R.It was a good car rental experience (Wellington). We had to use the after-business-hour pick-up service and were very surprised how easy it was in the end. Compared to other rental companies I appreciated it that there were reasonable options without additional fees for picking up and dropping off the car after business hours. I found the provided information were very clear and easy-to-understand.
The car was clean and in a very good condition. The staff was friendly, quick, and supportive.
The only hick-up was that the car I booked online had the status 'on-request' which I would now interpret as 'not available'. 'On-request' meant that I had to call their service centre to check the availability of the car. I found the woman on the phone was very helpful and it was a pleasure to book an alternative car ($12 more that the one I wanted to book online). Even with the additional $12 I think it was a good deal booking with GO rentals.
The drop-off was quick and easy, too. A petrol station nearby made it easy to return the car fully fuelled.
M.I thoroughly enjoyed the ease of booking, pick up and return. I did have to walk from wgtn airport to their base but it was a 5min walk which was very easy to get to. Staff member on was very friendly and informative. The car was perfect for my needs and was in an excellent condition to drive. I would be happy to return again in the future.

Nothing really gets quicker, nor are there repeat hire discounts, that’s a motivator to use a hire company more often surely? The cars are always good, clean and as per spec. I had to wait far too long for a shuttle to the airport after returning the car today, shuttle driver went missing?!? and they had to grab another staff member, (super helpful and nice) from another branch, to drop me to the airport.
K.Used them 3 times, booked online. I've been looking around for the best deals and GO Rental was the best overall. Book in advance about 2 weeks ahead of time seems to get you the best rate. Play around with the dates. No complaints! Went smooth every time, in and out. I got the full insurance, paid a little extra because I didn't want to deal with any hassle when I'm on vacation. The car was clean every time and with low kilometers but that didn't really matter to me since the car was pretty much new. The GO Play card is awesome too! Take advantage of those discounts! The staff was friendly and easygoing.
M.This is my second time hiring a car with Go Rentals for a NZ holiday and yet again, the experience was brilliant. Booking online was easy, charges are very clearly explained. I completed check in online, so pick up was very quick. Car was great, perfect for my needs. Drop off was quick and easy. M.Been using GoRentals for 5+ years but this time when I arrived they asked me to supply evidence of my address!! Of course I didn't have it so had to go get one. Counter staff apologized profusely and said it was some knob in head office had sent a PDF demanding it after a couple of thefts? They have me on file as a regular customer but still demanded it. They could have called or emailed to tell me of this new requirement.
Hopefully this low score will directly affect the employee/manager who decided it was a good idea to shaft their existing customers without warning.
Otherwise staff and car were great as usual. Perhaps put one of them in charge would be a better idea 😊👍
I'll change it back to 5 stars if I hear news he/she was let go! 😊

Picked up in Wellington, dropped off in Auckland. Made a complicated trip smooth and less stressful. Especially when everything has been done online, though providing licence online and then providing it again in person makes online submission redundant. Made me question if I was giving up too much info electronically for the no gooders out there. Otherwise, thanks for another awesome service! I recommend you always! Great staff too. Lovely, friendly, helpful.
K.Very good service and quick claim process. I have damaged the rear windscreen of Hyundai IMax at night and brought the vehicle to the HQ the next morning. One of their staff inspected the car and got me to fill up damage claim form. A replacement car was arrived within 10 minutes after I filled up all documents.

A.We chose an older car for peace of mind so we didn't have to be worried about being chased for costs to repair any minor damage. The cars aren't perfect and both parties acknowledge this. Basically GOrentals just don't seem to worry about fair wear & tear. Wellington airport courtesy bus and car pickup/drop-off was easy and fast. The Corolla had stained seats but the car was clean and didn't miss a beat over the 6 day hire. It's a small setup but I like that.

It is hard to get exceptional service these days but they really do do it well. They even help you on your way with directions to where you are headed. T.Had a great experience. Booked the car through a 3rd party discount site that didn't correctly list the different drop-off site and the child seat that I'd stipulated when making the booking. Luckily it was discovered in general conversation with guy serving me, he immediately sorted it out at no extra cost, although it was a stuff around for them - very happy with the whole process and next time I'll book directly through them!

C.Go rentals are the best rental car company you can use. I have used a range of rental companies and they are the best hands down. The signing in process is automated and you can do it via a phone app which means you just go in and pick up your car... no paperwork. The vehicles are new and clean and their prices are the best I have found. Honestly stick with these guys!

D.Although we had some trouble before picking up the vehicle, they managed to sort it out as we need to catch the ferry down south. I only recommend them to know the schedule of the picton ferry as well if they are trying to bring cars in south island. After hours is really advised for them especially if the scheduled sail/flight is 8am.

I really like the app which allows you to sort output airport pickup which is super helpful. The car we rented was almost brand new so it was nice to drive such a modern car for a change!

M.Rented a Toyota Corolla from GO rentals in Wellington with drop off in Auckland. I was surprised about the state of the art car and its size (despite the low price). I loved the car, great phone music connection, power, smooth riding and clean when I got it.
The staff was very friendly by the pick up station and even more friendly at the drop off, even at 8pm at night. Can recommend this rental company to everyone.

H.They gave us a text message with the number to call to be picked up from the airport. Once we were at Go rentals it only took a couple of minutes and we were on our way with the car. We were able to park at the airport and hand the keys into the counter at air nz as were delivering our car after hours. Very good service
P.We were initially apprehensive, as the pickup and drop-off location is not within the airport. Additionally the office hours are not early or late (at both ends our flight was outside hours). However Go rentals sent us instructions ahead of time, and our worry was unfounded - the after hours pickup was faster than most on-site locations, and the drop-off was even more convenient.
The staff were very friendly (all interaction was via phone or email, so I never met anyone).
The car (Toyota Corolla) was in great shape (even with 30K on the odometer), and ran perfectly.
Overall a good experience, and GO rentals will be our first choice next time we visit NZ.
D.With all the bad stories I have heard about rental car companies and a couple of not so great experiences I was rather nervous about trying someone new, especially as we needed to use after hours pick up and drop off service. But I needn't have worried. GO Rentals Wellington were absolutely fantastic from booking right through, super stoked at the ease of pick up and drop off, no waiting around or being transported ages away from the terminal. Absolutely will use them again in the future

P.After discovering this Rental company in South Island we use it all the time, as the prices are competitive and the staff friendly and helpful. The office is not at the airport but they have a good shuttle service. Be advised that you can't use a Debit Card for a deposit - it has to be a Credit Card.

During my trip to NZ I lost my brand new power bank ( aka usb phone charger). I had no idea where I lost it as I 've been staying in different places across the south island. Two months later I received the call from Wendy @ GO Rentals Christchurch, asking if the power bank they found could be mine. After I confirmed the model and the color, they sent it to me via express post. I am very grateful for what they've done.
