Did the Submarine room with a group of 7; it was really enjoyable and the escape room was definitely a challenge but also solvable (so not an entirely frustrating experience). It was quite hot inside the room as there was only a fan, but otherwise it was great fun

First time I've ever been to an escape room and highly recommend Escape Masters Manukau. Staff were friendly and explained things clearly. Room was great with lots of fun clues to find. We didn't make the 60min cut off but still thoroughly enjoyed the game and will definitely be back again

Had a lot of fun trying to escape Escobar's Hideout. Very well designed escape rooms full of surprises and mystery. What stood out was the delightful customer service. The young lady assisting us was incredibly polite, sweet and welcoming. Such employees are a great asset to the company. Will surely be back to try the submarine escape room..

As someone who has been to a lot of different escape rooms in several countries, I've always found Escape Masters to be one of the easier ones - in a good way. It's been a while since I've bee here but recently trying the Submarine room I was impressed with the challenging clues - though not too challenging to be impossible. Having different levels of difficulty is good, especially if you're new, as many other escape rooms don't have that option.

I took a group of 12/13 year olds on a birthday outing to Escape Masters and they had a great time. The venue is clean and set up well to cater for all ages and skills. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. I would highly recommend for adults and children alike.

My partner and I had such a great time here that we tried all of the four rooms in as many days! I particularly enjoyed the diversity of the puzzles, all well made and challenging. The rooms were all very believable with great care for the details and nice stories behind. I loved them all but if I had to ranked them, I think I’d say I enjoyed most the submarine for the atmosphere, Western for the story, school detention for the clever and multiple puzzles and Escobar for the setup of the room. Whatever you are looking for in an escape room, you will most likely find it here! And you can even choose the difficulty for each room, according to your experience -and preference! All great fun!

Had a lovely time. Very interesting rooms where the puzzles are set up to make you feel like an actual character in a story. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a small error with a digital puzzle, but it didn't take away from the experience. Thanks!

My daughter wanted to enjoy her 9th birthday with her small group of friends and decided to celebrate it here. It was a fun and cool experience :) All of us enjoyed it and it’s very exhilarating. We escaped with 30 seconds left in the clock :) Western jail was super fun, we were 4 kids and 2 adults.

We did the Escobar escape on medium difficulty with 4 people and succeeded with 1 min to spare and use of 3 clues. We’ve done a few escapes before so didn’t find this one too ’out there’ in terms of lateral thinking. Room design is pretty good - Decent props and use of technology. Good atmosphere in reception area. Great to be able to take your own group photo using iPad. Also lots of quick and easy places to eat in same parking complex. I enjoyed it.

This was a great place. All the clues and puzzles were very creative. We did the school detention at a medium level. It was a very fun experience. There were 3 rooms to unlock and all the clues were very clear and you had to really think about how everything is connected. Would recommend to all ages.

Couldn’t recommend these guys enough... booked a couple of rooms for a birthday... (totally selected the wrong day) but was called and they changed the days for me no trouble. Turn up on the day and Setiva was AMAZING!!!! She was bright and cheerful, happily answered questions and helped us in the rooms when we needed it! Best escape masters experience!!!!

Overall good as long as you don’t make a booking mistake and ask for your money back or a voucher. Did get half the money back after a couple of discussions, although the attitude wasn’t great.

The escape room was a lot of fun. We had to work hard to find the clues and everyone in the team was involved in it which was great. I would certainly recommend it. The only downside is the security. We were told that we could leave our bags etc in a bin by the door as the main entrance door to our quest would be locked but a stranger came walking in a couple of times and our group felt really unsafe because of this. If that can be resolved, I will be back straight away as it was so much entertainment 😁

First time with my Daughter. Mother Daughter Day out. we did Western Escape Room. I had no idea what i was doing but the Teenager led us all the way. However right at the end i started to see how this goes and figured out the last code to unlock the last key. Needed to figure out clues to open 12 locks to open the 3 doors to escape. Don't over think the clues. They are simpler than u think. we did do the Medium version. Being first time i would have started with the Easy version. But little Miss Brain Box figured it out in 37 minutes. Look at every thing in the room especially if they are sporadically placed every where and group them together....Have Fun.. Best not to have too many people at a time. Western Room felt crowded with just us 2.

We had a fantastic time in the Western (medium level) room, escaping 7 minutes early. I only gave 4 stars because it was so hot in the waiting area & in the room, there was no air conditioning, the instructor was very difficult to understand we had to ask her to slow down & repeat everything again. But we enjoyed the experience of breaking the codes

I thought i would be funny and book into the school detention room, alas on arrival we were informed it was probably the hardest room. We then got the record for the month. by two and a half minutes. was a very cool afternoon out. you want teams that can think outside the box and communicate. looking forward to returning and seeing how fast we can get through next time.

The ultimate in escape rooms, they have what the average player loves in an escape room, a good challenge, no excess clutter that just creates confusion, and a great environment. Been twice already and look forward to going again many times in the future. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great day out

I've been travelling around NZ for a year, doing a dozen of escape rooms. Escape Masters from Manukau is by far the best place I've found. I did three of the four rooms, and I'm currently waiting to do the last one. What makes this place different : - you have a real story, this is immersive ! - the puzzles are logical and make sense. - it's not linear and you can make multiple puzzles at once. - you are not bored, there is always something to do. You can select different level of difficulty too. With my partner, we did Pablo Escobar the first day on hard, the submarine the second day on hard and western the third day on master. Now it is the fourth day and we are ready to try detention on master. Wish us luck !

Been to a few escape room experiences and Escape Masters really is the best one! Try one room and you surely will want to go back for more and try all the rooms out! We thoroughly enjoyed it every time, William is really nice and helpful, and we look forward to playing the new rooms in future.

My wife and I played a round of their Western Jail room. We loved it! The difficulty level of the room can be changed to suit the people playing. I'd played an escape room before, so the staff raised the difficulty a bit. It was just right, and we got out with just under 5 minutes to spare. You do get some hints, if needed. You're given a tablet, which you can use to scan QR codes beside each puzzle to get a hint. You get 3 hints total per game. The staff will also monitor your progress, and will come in and give you a hint to help you move forward. The hints are just enough to help, without giving the answers away. My wife and I hope to visit again with a bigger group, to try another room.

Second time at this particular Escape Masters venue and as ever I'm blown away by the experiences they curate. We have tried both their "El Chapo" and "Submarine" rooms and have had an absolute blast with both. Their rooms are intricately designed with such incredible detail and thoroughness, making great use of technology and set design to truly immerse you in the puzzle's environment. The friendly and sociable staff truly seal the deal. For outings with friends, family or colleagues I'd wholeheartedly recommend Escape Masters!

This was a horrifying and traumatic experience to go through. I realised too late that I had severly overestimated the combined intelligence of my teamates, and spent a full hour desperately watching as my intellectual peers figured out codes and undressed mannequins. Like I said, traumatising. A solid fifteen minutes were wasted on screaming. But overall, if I had to pick a place and people to go through this with, it would be the same. Thank you for letting me make this a memorable early birthday experience!
