We stayed for 2 nights in our tent while travelling the lower S.I. Our stay was amazing, right from when we were greeted at the office. There's a large communal fully equipped kitchen, laundry, family and rec rooms (complete with a ping pong table) and a huge playground for the kids (and a large bouncing pillow for the adults!) The showers were amazing and every part of this camp was impeccably clean. The manager was also super helpful at recommending local attractions. If this is the standard for Kiwi parks, I'll happily stay at any of them. Well definitely be recommending to anyone heading to Hokitika.

Stayed for a couple nights, amazing accommodation. Rooms are warm And tidy. Best shower pressure ever in the cabins ! Great for kids they have a big playground, giant blow up pillow, games room and so much more ! Would definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly also

A lovely place to stay. We had a campervan. Our site was a good size - we could sit on chairs outside. Great facilities. Friendly staff. Good play ground for young and old! with a big ramp for skateboards or scooters. You must go to the Treetop Walk - just beautiful.

A relatively new Holiday Park. The facilities are clean and modern. WiFi is free and seems reasonable quality. I only took a non- powered site for a couple of nights. The ground is very stony so it's hard to anchor your tent securely. But they mention this up-front. I recommend this place

Fabulous place to stay. Lovely and new, great facility block with roomy showers and toilets. Washing machines and Dryers. Decent sized powered sites Close to town. Would highly recommend.

After driving past the other holiday parks in town, we’re so pleased we chose this one. Large sites, friendly staff and clean facilities. My partner had an early wake up call courtesy of a kiwi (the feathery kind! :D), otherwise a great nights sleep.

We loved our stay here, thank you! This campground is absolute kid heaven with its awesome playground and skate ramp. The cabins are perfect, the facilities are super-clean and the owners are fantastic. We will definitely be back and will be telling all our friends in Wanaka to come and visit 😊

A great holiday park with lots of space between cabins, a good selection of accommodation options, beautifully clean and well appointed cabins with excellent facilities. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place. We'll be back again.

Well maintained clean and staff is very friendly. The kids play area is good fun for kids. Don't think I'll anywhere else when I'm in hokitika again.

Had a lovely stay at Hokitika's Kiwi Holiday Park and Motels. We were in a van for the evening and loved how clean and welcoming the holiday park was. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Absolutely amazed from a great reception on arrival to the absolutely cleanliness of the whole facility and amazed of the property and facilities looks brand new but apparently over 2 years old top marks will be back from the Jones’s and Mc Quarters thank you

Extremely clean, cosy, and convenient location. Had everything you might need, and even a ping pong table in the rec room! Helpful hosts.

Perfect Situation We enjoyed every moment. The friendly, professional hosts were always on hand (24/7) when needed but otherwise unobtrusive. Everything was clean and fresh. Great ablution blocks, laundry, covered spaces and kitchen. The perfect base to explore Hokitika and the West Coast doing day trips whether it be the Hokitika Gorge, the Glaciers, Shanty Town, the Wild West Coast beaches, the Seal Colony or Punakiki. We will certainly be back.

Amazing facilities for the kids, incl. bike pump track, large playground and table tennis. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.

Lovely place, well built and laid out. Great playground for kids and good facilities. The room was well insulated so we kept warm in the middle of winter. Only thing was the heater is very loud, so a little top up in the middle of the night is quite disturbing.

Perfect place to stay with kids. Everytime we were at our spacious unit our kids would be outside playing in the Playground. They had a ball and adults got some peace and quiet. Place was warm and hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Kev and Louis are great hosts, the park is very clean and tidy with new amenities. Looking forward to our next visit there 😀

Didn't stay but visited friends, would love to stay here when i get time off. Fully recommend

Great people great facilities don't have to pay extra for a shower

Seemed to be a relatively brand new place. My husband and I booked a Studio Unit for $105, the price is excellent for that size of the suit. Very clean, modern and spacious. Suitable for a wee family. We were pleased with our choice. The only minus is - being new territory the holiday park looks very flat and bold, no trees or plants around. So, campers with tents might feel too revealed, not private enough.

As it is very new it very cleaning showers and toilets, kitchen look good but didn,t have a great look at kitchen and there another RM.well set up with cabins around the showers and toilets etc. I would remend the holiday park to people

This was excellent. Fairly new - only two years old. All the facilities are newly set up and great - even got two washing lines! The manager was really friendly and helpful.

Fabulous holiday park, the playground and jumping cushion was a definite favorite for the kids. We stayed in a cabin which was clean, spacious and well equipped. The communal amenities are also spacious and clean. Overall one of the top holiday parks we've seen. The only downside is the proximity of the airport if you're bothered by planes flying overhead, and the fact that it's so new there's not really any established trees or greenery yet (they're planted, just growing).

Hokitika is my favourite place to stay on the South Island's West Coast and this Holiday Park is the place to be while there. Great facilities and lovely Hosts. Never stayed for longer than one night in Hokitika and on my deathbed this is what I'm going to think about and regret....sigh..

This was a basic but new and clean holiday park just out of the centre of Hokitika. My husband and I stayed in the basic unit room which did the job for the two of us but would have been really tight if we had two kids in the bunks provided. The table in the unit seats two. The communal kitchen and bathrooms were clean and new, although did not appear to have heating so they were cold in the crisp winter mornings and evenings. All in all, a modern, well equipped new holiday park.

This as new, tidy, clean holiday park. The infrastructure and service are excellent, from booking to check-out. The cabins are great. The double kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, oven, microwave oven, kettle, and more. There is a TV room and a room with table tennis and some board games. The toilets are very good and particularly clean. The shower is great. The kids loved the playground. The staff was very friendly. What you see in the pictures they advertise is really what you get.

What a great place to stay when in Hokitika. Nice and roomy units and really clean. Comfy beds and great amenities. My toddler loved the playground which was good to run out some energy before a long a drive. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Fabulous holiday park. Everything is immaculate from the kitchen to the showers to the cabins. A great time of staff do a wonderful job keeping this place up to an excellent standard. Great facilities include laundrette, tv room, childrens play area, kitchen utensils available for a small $5 charge (good idea not to put pots, pans etc in kitchen as some people just leave dirty dishes & create a mess which could cause negative feedback, people will always washup their own dirty dishes). All budgets of accommodation available. I couldn't fault this place, I loved it .

18 month old holiday park. Everything is brand new, kids loved the inflatable jumping and the playground. Location is good but do not expect any swimming pool because of the changeable weather.

Came here for an unpowered tent site. The ground is extremely rocky ane compact so can only suggest if you have extremly thick pegs and a hammer. We couldnt get a peg to go into the earth to errect our tent. However I will give 5 stars because of the very good service we received. After talking to staff about the peg issue they upgraded us to a cabin for the same price as a tent site. Very lovely staff and service.

Clean sterile no atmosphere.bathrooms n kitchen clean but cold. Campervan parking very close to each other. I would pick somewhere different next time

Beautiful new park in Hokitika. We stayed from Monday to Thursday and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The place is sparkling clean, the rooms are warm and have comfortable beds. The kitchen has 2 of everything - stove, microwave, fridge and big clean sinks. You can hire cooking and eating utensils for $5 or bring your own gear. The laundry on site is cheaper than the Laundromat . There is a bench for folding washing and if you have a baby the laundry tub is perfect for baby bathing if you dont want to use the baby bath they have available. There is a big all purpose room with table tennis and another tv room with comfy couches. The massive park and jumping pillow were a hit with our daughter and she spent many hours there. We forgot some items on check out and the lovely staff called us so we could go back and get them. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Hokitika.

Camp & facilities are lovely, very clean the play ground & common room are excellent. The ground is hard so may pay to have strong pegs.

This place was brand spanking new and we really enjoyed staying here. My only criticism is that the brand new kitchen didn't have dishes, silverware or utensils to use for free. You have to pay to use them, I've never seen that before and as someone not traveling with kitchen stuff it was a bit annoying to not even have access to a spoon to stir my coffee.

3 weeks open, so very clean, good shower. Only negative is TV room & Kitchen close at 9pm..bit early we thought..& our powered site was a wee distance from ablutions (which was the closest) service was good n $45 for a powered site.

Great park! You can still smell the new furniture in the common room. Big advantage ist the frontloading washing machines! Rarely see those around, unfortunately. We were all set up but it's a bit sad that you have to rent all the dishes, cutlery and utensils for the BBQ. But I guess it's the best way to ensure everything stays in good condition. A few hedges would ne nice to gain a bit more private room and cozyness.

Really great place and nice hosts. The place is really new and it was empty when se stayed there so we had the whole place for us. The kitchen and the TV room is huge!

If you are after a restful stop with nice people whether camping or a studio apartment, then Hokitika KHP is a great place to lie your head
