M.LOVED this villa. We were in Villa 11 and it had the most beautiful views. The villa itself is very modern and one of the best places we have stayed in. John, the host was very knowledgable about the area and gave us great options on where to go and eat. An added bonus. We would definitely recommend to everyone to stay here if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed!
S.Words fail to describe my experience here, but I will try.
You wake up to this vast, completely unobstructed view of the ocean... It feels like your own little slice. You can hear it, watch it and occasionally spot giant splashes out in the distance and wonder what they are.
You can open the cavity sliders all the way and bring the outside in, hearing nothing but the ocean. Not loud, not quiet - but comforting.
When the sun sets, the stars come out to play and you can see them so clearly from your window. Stargazing was a little topper we didn't anticipate but thoroughly enjoyed!
The amenities are plentiful, everything works well and there's a tennis court with rackets available too. Small warning, the shower is great unless you're 6'5 and then you might poke yourself in the eye, if you are then be careful with the shower head hah!
John & Sue were awesome, really great hosts! They helped us with our adventure, pointing out places to explore and things to do. They also let us borrow their BBQ which was brilliant, we could cook ourselves a summer dinner and feel right at home.
Couldn't recommend staying here any higher, a very memorable experience 10/10!
T.Wow, just wow. I really wish we stayed longer. I've stayed at some cool places, but this really had it all and more, especially at such an affordable price too.
The entire place is truly an experience and we only had a smaller sized studio. It is surrounded by the most incredible, completely unobstructed view of the vast ocean... it is the most relaxing atmosphere to get away to. The waves can heard, seen & occasionally you will see some rather mystical looking splashes in the ocean that are large enough that you wonder if they're big whales. There is outdoor seating with some grass - perfect size to get in some morning yoga as the sun comes around at 9am.
Cable Bay beach is only a 10min walk, but if you don't want to walk as far, there is Little Cable Bay beach only 5 minutes walk.
The indoor-outfoor flow is marvelous with these large cavity sliders that open all the way.
Unexpectedly, you can also stargaze extremely well since there is no light pollution in the area - seriously one of the highlights for me.
The shower is rainfall style which was very relaxing, the pressure was great and temperature perfect. General amenities are plentiful, great Fairtrade plunger coffee, everything works well and there's a tennis court with rackets available too.
John & Sue were very welcoming, helping suggest places to see and things to do locally. They also let us borrow their BBQ which was brilliant, we could cook ourselves a summer dinner and feel right at home.

T.Sue and John are great host very hospitable. The villa we rented for new year had everything, we needed for nothing. Very close to the shore with beautiful views for as far as the eyes can see. I highly recommend this place and we will be visiting again!

B.A great place to getaway from it all or use as a base for travel to the north. The villas are modern, immaculately clean and very well appointed. Your hosts make you feel very welcome and are very helpful with local knowledge. We used the villas as a base after Piahia, to explore Cape Reigna and surrounding areas. There are nice restaurants in nearby townships of Mangonui and Taipa as well as fuels and grocery.
Views from the villas are stunning and the beach is only a moderate walk away. Book early in peak season.

T.STUNNING! This place is beautiful, relaxing & therapeutic, The luxury studio has everything you need, WiFi, TV & Sky much to my wife's disappointment, (Go the Warriors & AB's)...haha,

M.If you want to visit the 90 Mile Beach and Cape Reinga, this is the perfect place to stay. The villas have a nice view at the Cable Bay and the interior is really upscale with everything you need.
D.Fabulous view from these well-equipped villas. It's a good base for touring, with a nice beach across the road. There's even a good tennis court.
