L.The church building was rebuilt as the original one was in ruins and it is good to see it is well looked after and well used. The attached hall makes a good venue for events including funerals although parking is limited.
J.I have added a photo of St Thomas's as it was in 1910 as it was derelict and in the process of being pulled down. The painting is by a great uncle Claude Lorraine Kerry who also painted with Goldie in his studio in Shortland St, Auckland. Rangitoto a mighty backdrop and not a house to be seen.
