D.A unique Chapel in an elderly housing community. Stained glass windows are a feature.
G.A church with lovely architecture and presence. The midday sun illuminates the stained glass windows beautifully and radiates down to paint the walls and floor with floor with colours
S.My Father George Henderson built this church all those years ago. We have a photo of taken on the opening day with my 2 older brothers and the Brothers standing in front.
A.I've sung in here a few times now. It is a really interesting and iconic place, and has a special place in the history of New Zealand architecture. It's quite small, made mostly out of concrete, and has an alter made from a huge block of granite. It's no longer a Chapel, and is used for small concerts now. It has good acoustics.
