Eggs on toast was really decent, Also had a Vanilla Latte, which wasn't too bad. Service was ok. New girl who served us looked like she didn't want to be there. Aside from that it was a neat little spot.

For a consistently reliable late night coffee and cake cafe option, Cafe Cezanne in Three Lamps end of Ponsonby is a trusted go-to. They are very well known for their delectable home made cakes that adorn the food cabinets, so much so, that the a dilemma always arises when trying to decide on what cake to choose so it’s always an advantage to visit in small groups of 2 to 4 people so you can share! I adore their soy latte bowls and have recently enjoyed their Black Forest chocolate gateau served with fresh whipped cream! The staff is always so hospitable and engaging and the food options on the menu or in the cabinet, is always delicious and not to mention reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

I ordered cappuccino and an anzac caramel slice. Coffee wasn't great. A bit milky for a cafe located in Ponsonby. The slice was fresh and delicious. In my opinion staff could be more welcoming but it was ok. Place looks tired...maybe a renovation would turn the place into a cozy welcoming spot.

Food is great and in generous servings. The Black Forest Gateau is superb! One thing to note though is the size of the leaves in the salad - it is quite big that it can be a challenge to eat them. Nonetheless a good experience and definitely will come back.

This is a cosy little cafe at one end of Ponsonby Road, the pasta was good, but too gluggy and salty. There's too many fantastic cafes and restaurants in Ponsonby to justify coming back to this place. Not bad, just not on anyone's list.

Great little cafe with a long tradition of good food. Lost a bit of its identity but talking over past 15yrs. Eggs bene served with fried potatoes(Cezanne tradition), had the best muffin I have had in a very long time there. Don't let the rustic look of the place put you off. Great coffee too .. of course!

It's definitely one of the oldest cafes on ponsonby road. To last this long it must be doing something right. It's got a quirky kind of feel with mismatched tables spilling onto the street front. Murals all over the walls. Large generous portions. Lots and lots of freshly baked cakes and savoury treats. It stays open later than most cafes tell approximately 9:30 p.m.. a definite ponsonby Road institution right in the heart of three lamps...

Always used to go here when I first moved to NZ. I was so glad to see it still there for a late night of coffee and cake. I love the uniqueness and quirkiness, but mostly the lush cakes. Service is good and the food is also delicious.

Cezannes is a great place for coffee and a chat, beer and banter or a meal with mates. Lovely casual venue for tasty food, interesting murals on wall and a view of the street for people watchers. Friendly staff will bring your meals out after ordering at counter. I like the water in wine bottles too. 😎🤙🏽

This place has been here for as long as I remember back when I used to frequent it when I was in Uni. It offers a very laid back atmosphere but excellent service from the hard working staff there. Their coffees have stayed true and consistently delicious. Today I had a brownie with my coffee, its very generous with the portion but it was unfortunately a little dry for my liking but didn't ruin the experience.

Don't mind paying $8 for a piece of cake when they're the best baked goods on Ponsonby Rd. Things slipped for a while when the new owners took over, but I'm pleased to report that the Black Forest Gateau is once again the best I've ever tasted. The chef deserves a dessert medal. 🍰 And the coffee's pretty good too! ☕ 😃

Went last night for dinner with our children. The food was amazing and delicious - highly reccomend the Thai curry with bananas. Service was excellent and food came quickly (which was good as it was a bit late and our children were getting hungry). Cant wait to go back.

My AUT friends and I used to meet at Cezzane every week for a coffee and bite to eat. That was 20 plus years ago! It was great then and its still great now which is really saying something. The food is delicious and staff over the years have always been friendly. I dont go that often but always enjoy it when I do. Great vegetarian options and devine cakes.

This place has lost much of its bohemian character. It used to be full of quirky Ponsonby-ites including the staff and had a great vibe. It's fairly normal now. Food and coffee was good though.

Local fav. Always had a quality menu with a special Cezanne touch. I've tried the whole menu over the years, with the different owners coming thru. Always up to Cezanne standard. Food was ok but not great. Asked for gluten free dish from gluten free menu but ended up with a regular bread. Questioned this and got a strange responce: "we never make mistakes". Kinda rude and flatly refused to accept any responsibility, essentially blaming the mishap on me. Could of just replaced the bread. Owner is a bit of a nob.
