Such a cool little cafe hidden away on Auckland's North Shore. We both had the Acia Bowl.... devine! The presentation was stunning. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend this place . It’s very nice place , staff are friendly and welcoming. The place concept ( coffee lab ) and all the machines are very nice . We tried flat white, decaf latte it is the best one we had before . The cheese scones and almond croissant are very delicious and fresh. We will go to visit this place again .

Great coffee here :) in fact, "surprisingly good." The staff were all very prompt, friendly and helpful. The venue was pretty lively and busy but there was more space near the back that could be opened up - had a great vibe. Fun to watch the coffee beans getting roasted. Would recommend for coffee fans and general cafe goers looking for a meeting spot!

Love this place relaxed atmosphere, owner talks to you sharing history which country the beans are brought in from. It’s like wine tasting you have a choice in strong’n delicate flavours, you can try them all. They definitely know how to put coffee in a cup and the taste is the best…

It should be the best Cafe in Auckland. My favourite is Mocha and iced mocha. The shop has a big coffee roasters, they sell beans as well. If you are in Auckland, must come to have a try. The best combination for me is an Americano with a Tiamitsu roll.

Great premium coffee. Super busy in the weekend, be prepared to wait for seats, coffee and car park space. Otherwise, great coffee and muffins!

The coffee is fantastic and the food I have had has been great. The only draw back for me is that when I visited a couple of weeks ago the weather wasn't the best so couldn't sit outside and at that stage at least I couldn't park my bum inside either..

The coffee is obviously very good, it's called Coffee Lab. The food is surprisingly very good and the desserts are ridiculous 😳. Don't let the unsavoury industrial roads of Wairau Park fool you, this place is legit!

Great place for a weekend coffee and stroll. A few places that a pet friendly, so bring the dog too! I've found their beans to be quite good too, I use my own grinder so can adjust to suit brewing method.

I would love to spend half a hour here to enjoy my coffee. This place is good, not that hard to find, a little public transport unfriendly. I had a cold brew here, taste great. They also have a range of single origin roasted beans for you to enjoy at home, professional.

Had a visit on a raining Monday morning. Very busy full of customers waiting for their coffee and savories. Had beautifully presented cabinet with food which I made me want to try one of each :) The interior was a wooden interior with a larger area further in. They also sell other coffee related equipment too. Their coffee was great and service was great no matter how busy the cafe was. Recommended.

Great service, friendly, aid back yet efficient. Great coffee and food. The venue is warm and there's easy parking outside. If using public transport, Coffee Lab is just a short walk from Wairau Valley Pak 'N Save supermarket and a bit further walk to Smales Farm Busway but you'll need an umbrella or a water proof hoodie if it"s raining. The toilets are clean and well kept. Coffee Lab distributes coffee to other cafes and bakeris and you can purchase beans, plunger or exspresso ground bags of their various coffee blends to take away from the cafe. The cafe is a very good conversion of a former factory.

I ordered a flat white and actually never seen such a FLAT flat white ever. It doesn't mean that coffee was bad. The taste was good but I just didn’t expect that much flat. The staff were inattentive. No greeting at all, a bit cold face for hospitality. Couldn't feel comfortable while I stayed there. My 3 stars are all for the COFFEE.

Best coffee ever !! Came here last weekend w my sister and absolutely LOVED my cappuccino - AND you get to choose which beans you want - mine was cherry choc vanilla and was amazing. Was plenty of indoor seating, some outdoor tables and beanbags too ! Plus got to have puppy cuddles too!! Will be back for sure !

I like the idea of this place. But the coffee is often not great. I expect good service from places that are charging a premium $8 for a slice of cake for example. The coffee is the main game here so it should be amazing every time. Others do it amazing everytime.

On my way here I thought Google maps was leading me astray. I didn't expect a Cafe with decent coffee in the middle of the glenfield industrial and commercial estate. But here it is, adjacent to a sports field down a no exit street. Seeiug workboots lined up outside didn't help my skepticism but once through the door here was a well fitted out Cafe. More Takapuna than Cuba street or Grey Lynn but good coffee and food. Cosy with good table spacing. Friendly staff and quick service. They roast coffee on site.

Having a quick coffee here in Auckland hospital they have it set up for speedy service. I have ordered a double shot small soy flat white. Nice and strong with a spicy aftertaste. I approve the soy milk as it has a sweet nutty flavour. Cost was $6

Good coffee here and nice overall. Shame you can't pay in cash though. No good reason for this in my opinion and not fair on older people or if you forget your card. Legal tender should be accepted everywhere.

Came to coffee lab with my husband and two boys for lunch. Absolutely delicious, one of the highlights of our tip to Auckland. Had the burger and eggs Bennie and a couple of sweet treats from the counter, which were very fresh. Vegan options too. Nice vibe and decor. Quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had. Will be returning.

This place sells the best coffee in auckland, in my opinion. I used to work next door and went there every day, but then moved jobs a few years back. Still, I drive there specifically from south auckland to get my coffee beans for my home machine and a delish treat as their food is also exceptional.

Lively and beautifully presented cafe with some of the best coffee in NZ. Tucked in between light industrial, Coffee Lab is visited by coffee lovers who come not just for a cup but many leave with their in house roasted beans. Coffee is medium roast with a rich sweet aroma. They have roasting lessons and table seating for tens of people.

☕️My best friend and I are coffee lovers and we always recommend great cafes to each other and go there together if possible. This time she tried Coffee Lab before and was impressed by their seasonal offers of different beans so we went there for our afternoon relaxing. ☕️I ordered a long black of caramel taste with a coconut finish bean while my friend had cappuccino. We both enjoyed our coffee and great talking that afternoon.

Used to loved the coffee here but few times I tried recently the coffee quality went down a little Went last weekend, the shop was really busy and the barista doesn't seems to be mind the customer to wait long time for their coffee, if the coffee taste great then it's worth the wait but unfortunately thats not the case. These few times the coffee taste slightly blend and not much after taste. The espresso cake is really tasty though. Really hope the coffee can be good again.

In this hip cafe, they roast their own beans in the back and you can view the process if you like. Excellent staff, good food and the bustling atmosphere will keep you coming back. I like the still/sparkling water on tap and love their coffee.

We went there for breakfast and they served really nice food and service was good. For some reason the slice of blueberry cheesecake we got had too thick a base (~1.5cm ); perhaps just that slice or batch... But the coffee was great with nice latte art to boot. One of the specialties is that the barista will pick a bean based on your coffee choice. We had Columbia for our Flat White. They sell a wide range of single origin coffee beans as well, so you can enjoy them as they are or create your own blend at home.

This was our second visit based on our pleasing first visit a few months ago. It has a great vibe, great coffee and great food. The wait for our meal this time was over 30min. When we asked the waitress how long we could expect it to be we got a very abrupt response - "what did you order" and she walked away. Nothing verbal was given and we waited another 6 min. When it was delivered by the same woman nothing was said, no apology....not your usual friendly service.

Shot the gap and left the kid at his basketball game to grab a caffeine hit and some food. The staff are friendly and the space is ample enough for the customers that frequent. My experience of the food was great, from the cabinet served delightfully to my table. I couldn’t get over the coffee bean selection, from memory, these guys were one of the first places that offered a good selection compared to the weak bean everyone else sold. Yeah, the choice remains and it’s damn inviting! With accolades of awards this place has, I’m not surprised at how good the coffee is. Wish this place was in my hood.

The Coffee Lab experience is truly incredible! When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by warm staff members, beautiful music, and the amazing aromas of the perfectly roasted coffee bean. The presentation is breath taking and the flavors mind blowing. After travel to over 34 countries, I have not tasted any coffee this nice. Definitely a must try when you are in Auckland, NZ :)

Coffee used to be the best around but has gone a little downhill. The food much more so, I no longer eat here it used to be a favourite but since the good chefs left it’s not the same. Service seems to be suffering too with little things like rude looks and surcharges for sharing food starting to creep in.

A great coffee shop. In fact, it is more than a coffee shop. The owner and staff are passionate about coffee roasting and they clearly know a thing or 2 about roasting great beans. We use it regularly for meetings and staff chats, it has a great vibe.

This cost, trendy cafe is an oasis within an industrial area. Coffee is made with care by experienced baristas who have an air of snobbiness, and the drink service is quick even at busy times. There are some fantastic gluten- and dairy-free options, with a great range of raw sweets. Savoury options go quickly at lunchtime so get in quick! Well worth the price.

For $3 an extra shot, the coffee better be good. And it is. The tasting notes are accurate and there's a selection of at least 3 beans to choose from at any time for your coffee order. Went on purpose to the Coffee Lab yesterday looking for one of the best "espresso" available in Auckland and found what I was looking for. The Ethiopian one was outstanding. Best. Coffee. Ever. Hands down, and I've had coffee in many places in many countries. Coffee Lab takes coffee to a whole new level of excellence. If you can't get to Wairau Valley easily, no sweat, buy Coffee Lab coffee on-line. Freshly roasted. Swift delivery. If you can get to the cafe, go. The food in the cafe is superb too. I had my first visit to Coffee Lab yesterday. I needed somewhere with great coffee, a healthy breakfast option and wifi, to fill in time while my car was being serviced nearby. I hadn't expected to find all three things in one venue but Coffee Lab did just that. In addition though, I found to my delight well- informed and welcoming staff, a nice sunny corner to sit in,and a morning paper. Bliss! It was a bit of a disappointment to have to leave when my car was ready. I definitely recommend this place.

Divine coffee, single-sourced or a high-quality mix, roasted by experts, you choose (try the "Iced Lattes! Mmmmm...). Buzzy European/modern industrial/cityscape vibe with great variety of breakfast and lunch suggestions OR freshly-baked date scones, my Partner's favourites), brioches, afghans (my favourites), bisuits, fantastic-looking dessert cakes, filled rolls....on and on. Friendly people, great service and if you're lucky, you can see the coffee beans being roasted! Worth going out of your way for - make it a regular destination - we do.

Like to come more often but given a very needed disabled park always seems to be taken up, just puts a damper on the day. This place is awesome....it is the only coffee on earth I have ever had that doesn't require sugar and doesn't leave a bitter taste in your mouth.....the food is absolutely magnificent and their deserts and pastries are better than sex.....I love this place....
