Got some of the Korean dishes. I should have known not to, with not a Korean person in sight. The chips and the drink were probably the best part. Cabinet food looked really nice, but we didn't get any. I probably wouldn't return based on the meal I had.

5 of us went for breakfast today. I had the granola with poached pear and other treats in it. Very yummy. The other 4 had variations of eggs, hash browns and mushrooms and enjoyed them. Quick and attentive service :-)

For my sister’s birthday brunch we tried out Kawau Kitchen locates out close to the airports. The cafe is relatively new so it was a wonderful treat to find such great ambiance, astounding food cabinets not to mention the stifling customer service. We ordered a variety of espresso as well as savory and sweet dishes including vanilla slice, savory danish, vegetarian brioche toastie and avocado smash on sourdough with miso creame. The food was very memorable, so much so that a repeat visit is warranted! Highly recommended!

Yay! Another nice spot out south with good food. I had food envy, my Chili scramble was yummy but the Mie Goreng was delicious! I'm ordering that for myself next time!

This cafe is located close to the airport, making it a good stop before pick up or drop off. The staff were all very friendly and considerate. However, the wait for the food was awfully long. The food was well presented with an interesting fancy asian touch, but tasted average, especially conisdering its high price tag, I was a bit disappointed. The flat white tasted ok, but the milk wasn't frothed silky smooth.

Had Korean fried chicken here for breakfast. Coffee was great. Staff friendly and food was prepared quite quickly.

Was reccomend this place by a friend. Looks very clean, free parking over the road or outside if your lucky and one of the friendly and helpful waitress in Auckland. The food was delicious and i highly recommend eatting here if your in the area. I am looking forward in coming back to try other things off there amazingly healthy menu

Been following them for a while on IG and finally made it. Most friendly service for a long time and the food matched the service too! Traditional English breaky with a healthy twist just can't go wrong. The location is nicely tucked away from the nearby mall and easy to park. Can't wait to go back again!!

Love the vibe. Open space with sunlight coming through. The staff is wonderful, attentive and friendly. I spent more than 3hrs here finishing my work! Enjoyed my meal. Will be back.

Nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. Got English breakfast tea and the Kawau kai Breakfast. The tea came in a beautiful cast iron pot but the tea itself was only luke warm and unpleasant to drink. The breakfast was nice and was a generous serving, my only complaint was the sausage was under cooked for my liking. Overall a nice cafe and I would definitely try again.

Order the Benny this morning and was absolutely amazing, so many different flavours that complimented each other very generously! The atmosphere was beautiful and very welcoming as well as the staff very friendly and helpful with my choice of food, the menu has so much variety and the ingredients are very light and healthy, would highly recommend!

Simply put, if you are by the airport and have some time, eat here. It’s fantastic, a wonderful surprise place that should only have 5 stars!

Outstanding food. We have been twice over the last 3 days and every meal has been amazing. There is a real difference in flavours with Kawau Kitchen's food. I don't know what magic it is, but please don't lose it. The menu options are quite different to anywhere else I have personally been. The kumara and leek rosti on the Eggs Beni - A.Mazing! Honestly, I can't rave enough. I have even been converted to Kale! The cafe itself is functional and not super high on the cool vibes (it's in an industrial/office area and meets that need) but it doesn't matter because the food it so good. There is a good range of cabinet food too. Vegetarians/ keto well catered for. I am very pleased to live close to Kawau Kitchen and not have to rely on airport pick ups and drops off to have an excuse to dine here.

Have been back and forth to the airport over the last week and have visited Kawau Kitchen three times. Cannot fault the service, the food, or the coffee. Much nicer than waiting in the airport.

Why 5 you will immediately ask. Unfailingly consistently polite waitresses with a smile, even for grumpy demanding customers. Exquisitely crafted dishes. The pork and fennel sausage laced with beetroot sauce deep pan fried. Mushrooms I can't even finish this dish. Yes the sausage is specially made up for them. But on its own its larger than the normal sausage and much much more filling. A vegetarian delight with a bite would be how I describe the Eggplant with Tofu and pumpkin with tomato and chilli chutney on the side At times parking can be a trial but on Sundays with the sun splashed smokey windows I sit at the back playing my guitar and basking in the serene moments

Yum as always, fav is the Smashed in Japan - edamame avocado, delicate and filling at the same time

This Cafe would have to be the best in the area - fantastic healthy food with loads of options. The staff are very friendly and smile :-) - Something of a rarity these days. Great clean and tidy facility in an easy to get to location. AAAA++++

Good quality food and coffee. Service is usually very good too. Menu has good options too. Only downside is pricing is slightly on the high side especially for coffee which maybe the priciest in the area once the loyalty offers are taken into account.

Food is very tasty. Menu is varied, lots of healthy options but also lots of comfort food and snacks. Staff is very friendly, and place clean and nicely decorated. Definitely coming back if I'm in the area.

NZ Cafes take note: The bar has just officially been raised - and by quite a lot! (I wanted to give Kawau Kitchen 7 stars but Google wouldn’t let me). Aucklanders and those visiting Auckland, do whatever it takes, hop on a bus, ride your bike, walk if you have to, but get your arses to Kawau Kitchen!! This place is the whole enchilada - amazing menu (the rhubarb French toast rocks!!)., perfect espresso, great service...and to top it all off the architecture and interior is simple, stylish and sexy. And no (unfortunately) I’m not being paid to write this!

This cafe is really conveniently located if you have a layover at the Auckland domestic terminal as it is approximately 900 metres away. The building is commercial modern decor with a bit of chic flair and the surrounding buildings and nicely laid out seating areas give it a good atmosphere. My friends and I all enjoyed our food and the selection would definitely delight those who have food restrictions or those who generally enjoy healthy green oriented dishes. The websites shows the menu selection and I would say its a nice place to stop for a coffee or brunch/lunch on a sunny day.

So glad we stumbled upon this place. Much better than anywhere else near the airport. Very good food. Great choices and options. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Overall a good experience, but there was a delay getting food (about 45 minutes from ordering) so keep this in mind if you have a flight scheduled etc. The kids' pancakes were exceptional! Beef eggs bene a bit on the oily side, but tasty.

A solid 4 star, this is defiantly the best cafe in the airport area and i recommend you give it a try. The menu offers the classics as well as a few unique items and the coffee was very good, the staff were friendly. I will come back if i am in the area again, i feel this will be a favourite amongst the local workers in the area

Great cafe really close to the airport (without feeling like an airport cafe!) Lots of parking 500m up the road at the Countdown mall. Interesting menu; the kimchi scrambled eggs were excellent! Coffee was good. Bright and breezy, really friendly staff, attentive service. Highly recommend.

Kitchen closes bit earlier than expected.few options in the cabinet,but nice. Had a mushroom bap which was OK. They were out of the pineapple n mint juice that I ordered but offered few similar options. It will be great if the counter offering can be covered to avoid flies visiting them specially at this time of the year. Overall a nice place for a quick catchup.surely coming back.

Best food place in Airport Area.

Very tasty foods for the price. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly.it is close to the airport,so expect business customers and high end suits passing thru. So going there just for a spec latte in your causal clothes could be a Abit awkward 😅 yes walked in with fip flops and shirt and shorts. But staff still treated you like a high end. We got the 2 lattes full cream half strength , half caramel shot, our meal was slow cooked brisket in kumara. And carrot cake to top it off. It was Well presented and taste delicious. Price range is responsible but not to indulge yourself too much on lol

Excellent outside seating area. Very approximate to the airport. Busy via Air NZ and Auckland Airport staff presence. Limited parking near by. $42 for 2 x scrambled eggs with mushrooms. Pleasant staff. Would use again.

Best cafe in the airport precinct. Different imaginative foody dishes and good coffee. If you can, leave the domestic terminal and come less than 8 minutes walk to the modern building on stilts on the main road out of the airport. Refreshing and buzzy. I’ll be a regular

Great gem near Auckland airport. Tasty beverages for everyone and the food is really good and not overly priced. It’s in the perfect location, not too far from the terminals and it’s never over crowded. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing yet professional.

Absolutely love the food here... Innovative, full of flavour. Definitely worth taking the family out for a special treat. Oh, and coffee and counter items are great for on the go!

Great food if you are not in a rush

Amazing! The food was delicious - we were told that they blend all their spices on site and it really made the dish special (I had the corn fritters with haloumi and dukkah - yum!). Great wine, great service and the building and fitout is beautiful! Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Went for breakfast (purchased with my hotel accommodation at Ibis Auckland Airport). The young lady that greeted & serves me was really friendly & suitably attentive. My breakfast came very promptly & was very good (rosti, poached eggs, pork/fennel sausage & toast), my coffee was excellent. Most of all I enjoyed the atmosphere, great music at a level that didn’t compete with conversations, the high ceiling & glass provides a lovely open & spacious feeling. I used the NZ covid tracer app for the first time & wasn’t sure I’d checked in correctly, the young lady guided me on how to check.

Beautiful place to come nice in and outdoor seating and very friendly service. Food was delicious will be back when in the area again!
