D.I highly recommend this lovely cafe I was so impressed with the friendly efficient service I received today. Staff made us feel welcome and looked after us, bringing water and making sure everything was to our liking. The food and coffee were excellent. They have a great selection of cabinet food and a great menu. They had a well organised system operating to ensure everyone was scanned in. The cafe was spotless, was so impressed with the high standard of service. Well done to the amazing team you have here. I will make sure I come back.
K.Lovely interior but terrible chairs! And for a cafe where you want to sit and enjoy time with people and good food, I had to find a cushion to sit on to be comfortable. Please change them! Menu is good - accounts for many dietary requirements. Cabinet food is also good but you need to ask about what suits any dietary req's as they don't detail those on the labels. Nice spacious area to sit in and good area for kids to play in.
M.Wow! The food here was next level! Everything was made in house with high quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. A huge improvement on the cafe that used to be here. Very impressed and will be back soon... Maybe even tomorrow!
A.This was the 1st place we had brunch after lockdown finished - was great to go out into a new place and give it a go, and we will be back to try the rest! It's definitely a step up on the old cafe - this is a Destination Cafe with a garden centre attached, rather than the traditional cheap tearooms pretending to be a cafe hidden at the back of the garden centre.
Really nice layout and design - very much an "ikea Swedish" look complemented by fresh plants everywhere (as you would expect in a garden centre), with friendly service and a can-do attitude. A nice touch is that you can access directly from the road and the car park rather than having to fight your way through the retail in the garden centre. One little design issue for some customers: The flat reflective surfaces do mean a bit of noise when it's busy, so head out to the tables in the garden if you want a bit less bustle or you're hard of hearing.
The Covid-19 L2 menu is a little reduced from the regular, but has all the essential brunch options, with a well crafted and fancy creamy porridge with the essential fruity and crunchy bits, terrific "big breakfast" for anyone wanting the full english, and a good Eggs Bene with the *outstanding* twist of including a zesty Spanish black bean hummus. Seriously, that black bean hummus is a star.
Nice one, Kings! I hear the other stores may be updating to this style cafe soon, and look forward to it!
A.This was a welcome discovery in otherwise uninspiring Te Irirangi Drive.
They serve Mojo coffee 😍 and have an interesting range of menu and cabinet food. Service is friendly and prompt, and the venue is very spacious with couches and tables having generous distancing. Everything I saw and experienced gave me confidence in their hygiene practices.
Recommended even if you're not shopping at Kings Plant Barn or fading away from an interminable wait at the A&E next door. I was impressed.
A.Came to Kings Garden Cafe in Botany today with my sisters on Queens Birthday. We put our name down for a table at 10:15AM and was given a table in about 20 minutes.
The menu was a little limited and nothing too special for vegetarians (mostly just options without bacon). The cabinet options were also limited with mostly sandwiches and some baked goods.
My Poached Eggs on toast was perfectly done with a gooey centre. Coffee was great and the sparkling water for the table is a nice touch

R.Wasn't too fussed with the inside of the cafe, seems rather cold and unfriendly, also gets very noisy when half or more full. The outside seating area is great though in the morning too lunch time but can get very hot if a sunny day. Overall quite happy with the place to go back to if requiring plant and garden products, before the crowds arrive and it get too loud.

Food is delicious and always on point. Chefs are clearly passionate about the food they serve.
Coffee is fantastic (Supreme) and they have couple of baristas. The fit and smiley guy makes the best coffees, hands down.
Manager is really friendly and our waitress was welcoming and polite too.
It's a new cafe so maybe they are short staff cause we noticed that staff is always running trying to serve as many people as they can or maybe they didn't expect to be busy post lock-down (10-20 minutes waiting list during lunch).
Overall great experience and will be back :)

M.A stressed out mumma, and this place had me sorted with the two kids in no time. Excellent highchairs, excellent food and coffee was there in a flash! When my son split some water the waitress was right over with a napkin and didn't say a word, just helped. Thankyou will be back. Also my 2yr old son loved the banana bread ☺️ win!

a.Good food and reasonably priced. The day we went was a bit of a disaster. They only had one chef on and sadly it showed. Very slow service and one of the staff had a major attitude problem. In all fairness the food was very tasty and very nice. All they had to do was explain the situation and that there would be a delay. Most people would be a bit more understanding. Arguing with customers is not good. Having our meals arrive 5 minutes apart from each other is not good. The management need to take a look at themselves and decide weather to just take the money and stuff the customer or take a little bit less money and have customers come back. It's a shame as the food is actually good. The other 2 staff members were also good. The manager was little miss attitude.
C.From the start the service was great and the hot cakes and Kings breakfast was fantastic. Fresh food done well. Love the atmosphere too.
