Simply Woah! Even just the moment of entering smashed pumpkin, you'll be mesmerized by it's interior design, a spacious, comfortable and clean cafe situated near the Westgate mall, right next to big save furniture and snap fitness. You'll find this gem of a cafe, weather you're taking your date, friends or family here for lunch I can guarantee they'll be impressed! How often do you find cafe that has absolutely stunning food presentation and taste just as great as it looks! Smashed Pumpkin delivers on every single aspect. We came around 2:30pm after our outting to bethel's beach simply just trying to find a cafe to grab a bite, from the menu we ordered - Soup of the day (potato leek) - Panko chicken sandwich - Chilli scrambled eggs Holy smokes the Panko chicken might be the best sandwich I've ever had in any Cafe hands down! The Japanese/ Western style Fushion is a matched made in heaven. Every single bite into this sandwich crunches on the bread, through the chicken ending with a slightly sweet tangy chutney you wouldn't want to stop eating this thing! Did I mention it comes with fries!? I don't know if I was lucky but fresh long hot fries straight out of the deep fryer, it's like driving through Mc Donald's you bring the lucky one getting that hot fries straight outta the deep fryer, you know that feeling! But you get this at the pumpkin smash cafe on a next level! Comboed with tomato and aoli sauce. Potato leek soup, this creme style soup leaves you feeling warm and refreshed on a summer day! Yeah you read that right *REFRESHED* have you even drank a soup that friken refreshed you!? That by the end of it you don't feel like you're bloated even after having a Panko sandwich. I don't know what magic they throw in this soup but it's friken life changing. Chilli scrambled eggs, would ya look at that presentation! Served on a crossiant. Which cafe serves your scrambled eggs on corssiant, you know it's good already with butter smooth buttery eggs combined with a bit of bratwursts sausages garnished with fried shallots. For those who don't even spice can easily eat this too, it's more fragrant than it is spice. Over all smashed pumpkin deserves your attention, weather its atmosphere, taste, or price for value. It'll tick all those boxes. I'll definately be returning and I'll have all the Panko chicken myself! It was sold out by the time we arrived, so you know what's up!

Yummy food and yummy coffee, they accommodated our special requests and still made the plates pretty. Very cool vibe in the cafe. If you like to have a coffee alone or get some work done, it's a big enough cafe that you won't be elbow to elbow with someone else. Seems like they have activities on every once in a while too will definitely be returning.

Could have been a 5 star. Service was a bit slow to start with but when the food came out was worth it. Kids menu is definitely worth the value. Would definitely go back 👍.

Delicious food + drinks and super lovely customer service. Well worth the stop. Really convenient if your keen on checking on furniture and bikes also, with BigSave and a Bike store next door. I believe there is a tramp park next door also. Great fun for the kids.

A real gem! Fantastic food - SO well presented and really fresh ingredients. Esther, the owner, is a great barista so the coffee was spot on. also, there's loads of parking so it's super-convenient. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

Lovely food, decent portions, good selections~ Bright and open cafe with plenty of spaces unlike some of the crawded cafes. Will be back to try other dishes.

Brightly lit location with friendly staff. There are some nice vegetarian options to choose from. The dishes are beautifully presented.

We went there just because we had just dropped off daughter to bus stop. Wow I'm impressed, we were greeted with very warm welcome. We ordered from the cabinet and they gave our order the full kitchen treatment. Dismantling the sandwich I had and lightly frying up the chicken again, adding fresh avocado, toasting the bread etc. Lovely side salad and sauce and more friendly service etc. Highly recommend, even just for the staffs attention.

Really lovely people and great food here. Had the pulled pork roll and crispy chicken sandwich which we asked to be cut in half. They ended up serving them to us on a plate with a salad and all beautifully laid out. Ordered a chocolate milkshake and asked for it to be ‘really chocolatey’ and when I tried it she asked if it was enough and if I was happy. She stopped mid lunch break to run through the menu with us and gave us recommendations on what’s popular and what she likes personally. Super lovely people and an adorable layout! Nice background music playing too so safe to say I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit :)

I've been seeing this pop up on my Facebook for a while and I finally went. It did not disappoint!! Lovely staff and big menu range. The hotcakes are a work of art with candy glass and ice cream. The eggs bene was delicious. Food is presented beautifully, the team here take great care of you and have a passion for this!

Not easy to see from the road, been past dozens of times and only discovered this cafe on Google Maps! Friendly service and nice food, would give five stars but cabinet pastries are reheated in microwave.

Love their Bacon & Eggs Benedict. The only place I've been to that make perfect eggs EVERY time. The staff are all lovely & super friendly which is an added bonus.

Great ambiance! The food was great too and fast service. Breakfast was superb. My spicy chai was a bit bland and diluted but my friends said their mochachino was nice. Would love to try their lunch menu someday!

Excellent ambience with so many books for customers. Very good food and very good service though the food took a bit late. We loved our big breakfast and the coffee. Would go there again! Recommended!

Absolutely Devine I never knew smashed avo could look so beautiful and have so much flavour! I'm not one to write a review but this place well deserved. Coffee was amazing! Service was amazing! Everything amazing! I will be coming back for sure!

Personally I have Had a bad experience. Where I ordered a simple salad chicken, green medley, 3 small slices of avacado, for $18.50. Their was only 1 order in front of mine but I ended up waiting for 43 min. Granted the balsamic sauce was great, but found there other components lacking quantity and taste. The matradine was welcoming and polite. Personally I Will pass smashed pumpkin on my next custom to westgate!

Been 2 times in the last few weeks. Beautiful food (kids love the pancakes and are happy to down size the adult one) friendly happy staff and good little spot for kids to play. Thanks guys see you soon

Best pulled pork eggs benedict in Auckland hands down! Amazing staff and food was presented with extreme pride, nothing like it in auckland. Make sure to drop in for a lovely meal and great coffee, because i know i will be!

Great service with a smile and delicious creative meals. They host an early morning breakfast meetup once a month I belong to and are always welcoming!

Food was amazing with some of the best presentation I have ever seen. Meals took 25+ minutes due to lack of staff. Overall a good experience.

Good place close to Westgate mall. Customer service was great. Would be good to have a few more Vegan options and portion size could have been bigger.
