As we were walking past we noticed the lovely garden area out back. So we decided to pop in for brunch. Which we’re so pleased we did as the food and coffee was fantastic!! I had the big brekkie and my bf had the omelet which were both some of the best we’ve had. Such a yummy oat milk coffee and banana milkshake as well. We were also super impressed by the service, particularly the chef who was also serving us. Thanks so much for the lovely experience 😊

6 large people for breakfast and the staff didn't skip a beat. Meals were 5 stars and the iced mocha was yummy!! The garden bar is beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

*Updated 24/4/22: Still no streaky bacon or ciabata, but music good. As below. Nice café, breakfast was ok, staff are friendly and prices good. However points lost for no streaky bacon or ciabatta. 🥓 🍞

Best big breakfast I have had in new zealand, the thick cut bacon is unlike any I have had. (In a good way!) so highly recommend. Coffee is very good too!

Little hidden gem with a tiny street face you might walk by without realising that open to a nice covered back area full of charm. Food is tasty with enough on the plate to fill your appetite. I had the egg beni with mushrooms, which was delicious, but I almost regreted not having it with bacon when I saw my friend plate: a thick piece of crispy, juicy bacon (I was expecting the usual rashers). The waffles were also delicious according to another friend, perfect balance for sweet, creamy and savoury. All in all highly recommended

Loved the ambience and the vibe. Very few places has this sort of old world charm to it. We had coffee and croissants. The decor is full of vintage collectables. The collection of coffee machines was a spectacle!

What a cute cafe for breakfast! We had a lovely cappuccino and hot chocolate along with the scone and a carrot cake. The back garden area is heavenly and kind of hidden! There's a cute sandbox for kids to play in. I'd 100% recommend and would go back in a heartbeat!!

First time visiting after noticing it was now called Sol's place. The service was very good and the hit drinks delish.

Very good place to be in a quiet and relaxed environment. Food is really good and the staff so friendly. Is not easy to find places like this, that still have the warm environment of a real Café. We will repeat!!!!

Amazing place in the heart of trendy Ponsonby!! Offers nice coffee, fine wine and beer! Tip: Try their homemade hummus. Live music in the evenings - great to finish your day in a relaxed and cool atmosphere ;)

Great Cafe with lovely quiet outdoor area. Their coffee bowl was superb, perfect for a not real coffee drinker who likes it long and milky. Pulled beef burger was great too.

Beast Coffee ☕ place in Auckland I believe. These place and the owner has the history what you can feel from the walls. The Team very friendly so I like to be there. Just a thought from me to customers who like to sit with one cup of coffee for half day with the notebook. Yeah, please do no do it as I would like to sit down and enjoy the place as well for a 20 minutes break and the coffeeshops need income to cover the rent and pay the stuff, so do not be unrestpectfull and order or leave to free up some place for us who like to "pay" our respect for a great place like 121. Thank you Team for your lovely support and keep up the good work!

A favorite late breakfast/ brunch destination in Auckland. At Cafe one2one the food is reliably delicious, coffee is great and service is fast. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard and in the winter they have the fire roaring creating a delightfully cozy indoor space where you can sip on a cuppa and plug away on your laptop all day. The guy that has owned the business for decades works behind the counter, serving meals and greeting customers with a warm smile. I especially like the hand drawn list on the back wall listing all of the businesses that have been residents of the building dating back to the early 1900's. This lounging breakfast vibe makes every visit feel like a Sunday. 😊

This is an absolute Gem. Coffee is sublime and the music and community is awesome. Great new furniture and relaxed vibe. Friendly service. What more could you ask for?

Great cafe, friendly staff, warm fire, amazing food and most of all - kid friendly! Popped in for a bit of lunch today didn’t have time to use the sandpit but we did sit by your fire and read a few books with the little one. Thankyou will definitely be coming back!

Good food, good coffee.

We had a great coffee and breakfast here. The thick slice of free range bacon was delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed aand the staff were helpful. It is family friendly with child seats. I am serious about my coffee so will be back again!

Really nice and cozy place. The service is really good, stuff is always friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I love their eggs bene with bacon 😋😋😋. Really good coffee too. This is a lovely cafe for breakfast. We sat on the conservatory which is surprisingly large. There is a map of Auckland from the 19th Century drawn on the wall - this added to the charm of the place. The breakfast was very nice and seemed healthy. The service was prompt and friendly.

I must admit I didn't feel comfortable when we walked in to Cafe one2one. It had a strange vibe about it. However, I did like their fireplace. 🙂The kitchen was already closed but they let us order chips. These were nice and the tea I had wasn't bad. Overall experience was ok.

I stumbled upon this place just after moving to the neighborhood. I felt like I had stepped back in time - it had a truly neighborly, by-and-for locals vibe. Since my first visit, I’ve been back dozens of times. Always good coffee, warm service and great food. I reckon this is the best cafe in Ponsonby

Great venue. Has lots going on during the week. I like going on Saturday evenings from 7-9PM. Great bands and musicians. Small venue so get in early for seating. Not a great selection of food, can highly recommend the homemade pies.

Coffee was perfect and came quickly, food was equally as good and came presented well. Customer service was also fantastic. Great outdoor area. Really enjoyed my experience and would recommend to everybody. Also reasonably priced for the quality of our meal.

It's a bit of a mixed bag here. The atmosphere is nice, really laid back and cosy with great courtyard out back (which is covered from the rain but gets hot on a sunny day). The food is average and the coffee is good. If you're grabbing a coffee and want somewhere nice to sit then one2one is perfect, if you're wanting a nice lunch to go along with that coffee then there's probably better places for similar prices nearby.

This was once a very popular cafe under its previous name and I was impressed that the crowd is still there. Actually my laxk of a fifth star was because it was a nit crowded for private conversation with an extra tan,e oved in rjght beside us. Outside the little courtyard which I once frequented was empty but it was a cold day. As for the cofee it was promptly delivered and good. Didn't try the cakes but they looked nice.

In a city of great coffee this small cafe stands out. The coffee is roasted locally and brewed to utter perfection. Breakfast is everything from scrumptious scones to full blown calorie bomb meals. Fast WiFi and good music to boot.

Coffee was good, carrot cake was nice. Unfortunately, the staff was not up to much today. It wasn't busy, but our order took ages to arrive, was incomplete, and the wrong type of tea. Then they informed us they had forgotten to charge for drinks, and even paying the bill took ages. Maybe it's the hot weather, maybe it's staff in go-slow mode, but it detracted from the visit. Pity.

Came here with my little tot yesterday and it was great. Friendly staff helped me to get my stroller into the cafe and to the backyard. Ordered a half serve eggs bene with veg. Tasty and mocha was delicious too, didn't know they have a sandpit there for little ones, will come again next time when we're around the neighborhood.

Pretty average. No food for vegans and coffee smelled promising but didn't deliver. Staff need to smile.

Absolutely amazing cafe. They make me feel so welcome and comfortable. The best.croissants, and a side of bacon is a thick hunk! Complimentary tomato chutney which was absolutely delicious. Amazing place.

Great croissants here. Idk actually probably not that great but for some reason I liled them. Very friendly staff. Especially the older man, always has good chat while you wait. Impressive coffee machine collection. Not the best coffee but its quiet out of the way and just a nice weekday morning retreat

an Absolute Delight. I went in the evening and Chris and all the staff are amazing! The Music is beyond that .. double amazing! We are so lucky Auckland has a place like One 2 One. Thank you.

My first time experience there a rustic gardenish natural decor look..my group sat outside the conservatory and a spacious unique setting. They have a compact play area for your child to play in. Greeted with friendly staff.🙂 The day was a Tuesday morning and breakfast time.😋 I ordered the omelete with the sundried tomatoes mushrooms and ham. Most delicious ..we also ordered the eggs bene on potato Rosti(check out my photos and video) Toilets available ♿🚻 Enjoyable experience except the annoying flies. We will be back again maybe check out the live entertainment

The hot chocolate was a light on the cocoa powder , a hot choc on the house may increase the stars on this rating and would make me a happy customer

Best cafe' atmosphere. Classic Ponsonby at it's best! Feel like I've discovered an institution (in a good way). Live music on offer was divine and the view of Sky Tower at night fron the back courtyard? Stunning!!

A great coffee haven run by the legend Chris Priestley. What a beautiful, soul soothing environment. Beaut breakfast just wish the cheese scones didn't run out the way they do. Bless your hearts xxxx

Staff were really polite and friendly. Breakfast was yummy. Thick cut bacon was well cooked. White coffee had a mild flavour.

Special Auckland cafe which also has many weekly gigs: Nights on Thursday ( jam, open mic); Friday (jazz); Saturday (folk, blues); Sunday (general concerts). Specialises in folk, jazz, blues and country. Largely acoustic music with a small PA and minimal percussion. Eclectic, interesting and friendly clientele. Great coffee.

Such an uplifting place to be at for music and relaxation. I discovered Aro and Mark Laurent here, and enjoyed their performances thoroughly. It's been a while since I've experienced "flow", as they say, and they made it happen.

Ate here with a coworker a little while back. I ordered some pancakes (can't remember which type exactly it was fruity) - and every bite was delicious! LOVED the coulis they used. Will definitely pop by here again. Also not much of a coffee drinker so can't comment on their coffee, but I've heard praises from our accountant.

Welcoming older crowd. Live music, usually jazz. Order coffee and cake or a whiskey or all of it here. It's the sort of place you can go alone to and someone will come and chat and enjoy the music together with you.

Well known drop-in coffee shop within walking distance of K Rd, Western Park and Three Lamps. Was known for years under the name of Atomic. The coffee is very good, the food not so much.

I love this cafe'. Its been so good to me since I moved to Ponsonby 11 years ago. Can always rely on it being open earlier than other cafes around. Great for writers/bloggers and artists.

Stylishly homely cafe with heart and history. Good food and coffee. I can always find a chilled out spot, usually out in the covered courtyard. Back gate for wide pushchairs, sandpit for toddlers.

Really love this little place. They have live music nights (not sure which though) great atmosphere here and good coffee. Very unpretentious and down to earth place in Ponsonby.

Nice little place with lots of cool old school teapot around the walls and great outdoor back area but the day menu was lacking much to it a lot of breakfast items nothing for a small to medium sized lunch option except panini.

This cafe has changed my life! I was recommended to visit the open mic night on a Tuesday 4 years ago when I was travelling and I met some amazing musicians and was captivated my the creative magic of this place ... so I never went back to England! It is still a regular place for me to have a coffee and a cake in the day, or a glass of wine in the evening when I enjoy the regular jams on tuesdays, thursdays and jazzy friday nights with Peter Wood.

Decently priced coffee. Thought the iced chocolate was a bit steep after my friend ordered it- but then it appeared and it is a chocolate lover's absolute dream! Even had a chocolate fish in it. Is there still a cafe cat? I hope so. Didn't see him this time.

Favourite cafe in Ponsonby by far. The coffee great and the breakfasts never disappoint. The staff are fab and atmosphere is quaint and quirky.

There's live acoustic music on Thu, Fri and Saturday evenings. It makes a charming atmosphere. Marvelous to have a late coffee.

Great Coffee everytime, go there most days and have always been greeted warmly by staff. Yummy-as Granola with coconut and rubbard always a fav.

We're visiting NZ for the first time and found this close to our airbnb. We walk there every morning for coffee and a great breakfast.

Great staffing and a friendly atmosphere. We took our 1 year old daughter and the staff did everything they could to make it a comfy tasty trip.

Ginger latte was good. It's basically a latte with some sprinkle of ginger powder on top. The big breakfast was a typical breakfast.
