L.What a great vibe! Love the decor inside as well all the art to choose from. i love the fact that dogs are welcome, complete with rule board outside. The food was great and the coffee even better. Staff are awesome too! Will be back!

D.We have just been there for high tea on mothers day. The food was lovely & the dog also enjoyed it too with his puppicino. There was only one small issue which was that the table was very wobbly & we felt that things were going to fall off it if we bumped it. Highly recommend the stoned cow

C.Awesome cafe, very tasty food and good coffee. Also a great venue for a fun family get together or a corporate team building doing one of Sam’s Paint n Sip parties. We laughed all night long and created “art” in the process. Highly recommended.

S.Very disappointing lunch after we chose this cafe on a recommendation. The menu is mediocre, I was hoping for some more salad options. I ordered an omelette which comes with a choice of 3 fillings. I chose onions, spinach and cheese. I had considered adding a side of bacon but worried it might be too much. But the omelette was so lacking I wish I had because I went away hungry. The omelette itself was tasty but where were the fillings? There were big chunks of onion but barely any spinach and virtually no cheese. On the side was a handful of greens - just greens - with a sprinkling of balsamic and that was it. My friend had the eggs with potato rosti that she enjoyed.

T.A surprise find when we were out walking the beach front with three kids in tow. The cabinet treats we ordered were delightful and the service was prompt and friendly. Lovely artworks on display and for sale. We will be back for sure!

M.First time at The Stoned Vow Cafe, service was great and food came out quickly and all together. My Jackfruit Taco Bowl was divine, very tasty with the right amount of spice. Beautiful presented loaded with a great combination of colour and flavors.
P.Places like this concern me. They make me anxious. Sort of like the anxiety you get when you've just discovered something extremely valuable and rare and it might all go away one day due to circumstances beyond your control and you'll be all the poorer because of it.
So the wise decision would be to enjoy The Stoned Cow cafe for what it is. Now. In the moment, and as much as possible.
I am willing to put my prized left-testicle on the block and state that their coffee is the best coffee we have had on the North Island of New Zealand. I will also make the claim that their caramel slice makes a convincing argument in favour of diabetes and I'd rather stab myself with insulin than not have one more of those slices.
Their loaded keto scones (with mushrooms) is a personal favourite and I am not even on a keto diet, it's simply that good! In fact, it's so good that I've labelled Keto as a hoax as there's no way in hell something that creamy and flavoursome will ever allow you to maintain a healthy weight. Should I mention that Shaun coincidentally makes the best bunny-chow in New Zealand and they don't even specialise in curries?
And that's what Shaun, Sam and the amazing staff at The Stoned Cow does. Art. They offer familiar favourites but Shaun and his kitchen ninjas makes the food themselves. Not from boxes of pre-made failed-dreams bought at Gilmores. The waiting staff makes you feel welcome. A feeling occurring less and less around Auckland coffee shops. And then there's Sam's incredible art collection that surrounds you in the shop and offers a brief glimpse into the mind of such a talented and creative person, showcasing the familiar made quirky and fresh - all for sale.
It's an amazing cafe. One artist uses spoons and spatulas, and the other brushes and color palettes. They both serve art made with love, passion, and care - and you can actually taste it with your mouth and eyeballs.
If you can, please do make the effort to visit The Stoned Cow Cafe. You never know what tomorrow brings, but you don't want to miss the chance to visit this place.

T.So I’ve finally found the best chocolate brownie in town after so many years of brownie hunting. Will not say further because you’ll have to go try it yourself.
Oh, yes, it’s gluten free brownie for those on GF diet. If not, still, go for the brownie, it’s delicious!!!! Don’t forget to grab a coffee with it.
Good vibe and friendly staff members. Kids friendly so definitely a bonus for mum groups :)

R.I’ve been here 2 mornings this week had fantastic service from the owner one morning, next day guy making coffee clearly was not a multi tasker.... waited for ages for cabinet food, coffee order was wrong, but the coffee I received was good...

T.What a fabulous place! We LOVE the coffee and especially love the keto cups but the best thing about this place is the amazing service that you receive consistently from the owners Sam and Shaun. They certainly know how to look after their customers!
M.beautiful spot for good weather, you can seat outside and enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Along with great view goes a nice coffee and quite good food. Only big minus we had to wait for our food too long, considering that the place was not crowded. But waiting was worth it, even if my gluten free croissant turned into a normal gluten free toast , is still taste and more important gluten free.
V.Best little treasure in Browns Bay!! The food is excellent, service is amazing, decor is fun and the atmosphere is relaxed and cosy like being at home away from home. We're so thankful to have such a great eatery that ticks all the boxes!

A excellent spot to relax and enjoy the sea views whilst. Pets are welcome as long " as the owners behave" and pets can enjoy a specially formulated Pupachino and complementary doggy treats.

N.Sam and Shaun have been nothing but kind and welcoming to me since the opening of The Stoned Cow. As a Brownsbay local, it feels like this is exactly what we needed. It's popularity has caused there to be a bit of a wait during peak times but the hospitality and unique ambiance makes it worth it. Keto, Vegan and Gluten Free options makes this place very diverse in dietary preferences and adds to why this is an excellent place to bring the family. Thanks again guys
