Reviews of Woolfy's
J.
Amazing cafe! There's a lovely feel to the entire place. The cabinet food looks beautiful, and the food we ordered from the menu was delicious. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
P.
Best breakfast ever!! Love this restaurant so much. The food was amazing 🥰 and tummy filling. Coffee didn’t hit me right, cause I know how my usual coffee should taste like ( Vanilla Cappuccino) otherwise everything else was great.
J.
Lovely cafe, I had French toast and my friend had fried chicken, both were delicious.
L.
Lovely staff good coffee and impressive hot tea pot! Husband very happy
Frankie chillin like a villain 😎
A.
I have had the food over here and every time i have gone i have been humbly greeted by the staff and always enjoy spending my time there. They also have amazing food and very nice desserts. I also love how animal friendly they are meaning how well they look after the animals which come by there is a very nice setting for people who have pets like dogs or cats they setting for the animals since they even have a dog bowl which they can drink water from and just love how friendly they are toward pet owners. 😄
A.
I grab some breakfast rolls and salmon bagels from here for my lunch some days and omg they are pretty expensive but so worth it... staff are always super friendly too.
M.
One of the strong points of this cafe is the ambience - it feels quite welcoming and cozy, and for some reason I really like the black and yellow theme. The food was tasty and plentiful and is good value for money. Staff were quick and friendly. Will likely be back to try some more of their menu items.
R.
Food is always great. But loses 2 stars. 3 times in a row we've visited, they forgot our coffee orders, seems to be commonplace when they are busy, as I see other tables experiencing the same.
L.
Great spot out east! Lovely staff and decor that really set this place apart from other restaurants around the area. Tried the fried chicken and fritters and was not disappointed. Really moist chicken thighs inside a crispy batter. The tomatillo sauce with the pickles was also the perfect balance. Friend liked the Buddha bowl too!
J.
Busy rainy weekend morning: it took 45minutes from our arrival to food & coffee being set in front of us. Good flavours, though not hot. I think the weak point is in the management. Servers could not have been working any faster. I’ll come back at a less busy time to give it another go. $66 for 2 breakfasts & coffees.
W.
The food here tastes as good as it looks. Its best to book a table if you are coming with a big group. Very busy in the weekends
Y.
Went to this cafe for the first time and was wanting to for ages as it always looks busy. We ordered a Berry Smoothie and Matcha Latte for drinks and the Woolfys Toast and Woolfys Fried Chicken and Corn Fritters for food. The beverages are good and the food even better - there was so much flavour in both dishes as we purposely picked one savoury and one sweet. The presentation on the plates was amazing! Not just ours, but we saw others pass by and they all looked really good and appetizing. Will definitely recommend this place and would want to come back to try more things on the menu. They also have lots of ready-to-go food in the glass case at the counter. Might give them a go at some point also. Great day to brunch.
n.
Huge portion of the dish. The taste of coffee and food was ok.
Too busy and loud 😅
A.
Fantastic place to meet friends for brunch, or work contacts for lunch! Delicious food, a bit of a quirky menu, and fabulous coffee ☕️ Awesome atmosphere here, it’s always bustling but even when it’s busy the wait for a table isn’t long. Enjoy!
U.
Super friendly, good food and coffee
J.
I really liked that the food had a relatively original spin. Portion sizes were good and the food was very tasty. Plenty of parking around but I believe there's usually a queue. The staff were always very busy and sometimes hard to get their attention.
J.
Lovely Café. Interior is gorgeous. I enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent. Dog friendly too. Got a puppachino for the dog and there was a dog bowl for water already provided.
S.
Great atmosphere. Situated in a busy industrial location but makes you feel like you're else where, away from all the noise. Great place to go for a quick iced chocolate or coffee. By far, my favourite place to go for iced chocolate!Excellent table service and great customer service. Servers make you feel welcome and comfortable. Other than the lack of car parks during busy hours this is a great stop for lunch or brunch.
D.
Was looking forward to this for mother's day but ended up being a bit disappointed. They didn't have any freaky shakes that day, they didn't have any teapots left and had to get a takeaway cup (we could only see a few tables with a teapot so not sure if they only had 4 pots in total lol). Had the corned beef hash and the 'Mary had a little lamb' I think it's called. The hash was ok. The lamb was below average man. It tasted so gamey and was very oily and pooled on the bowl covering everything else which basically covered everything else with the gamey taste.
The food took ages too. They didn't seem too busy when we got there and never got packed.
A.
Friendly staff, very generous portions, yummy food! We shall be back with an empty tummy next time so we can eat the dessert as well! The coffee cream doughnuts look amazing! So were the almond croissants! Oh and they use premium Zealong tea!
V.
Staff was awesome and very hospitable. Long black was a bit acidic in my opinion. Location is good but very noisy due to the heavy traffic. Improving interior acoustic should be considered. Outstanding bathroom facilities. Merry Xmas :)
L.
We go there twice a year when in Auckland and ALWAYS love it. Every meal feels handcrafted. Well done and WELL worth the effort to get to.
L.
I am definitely going back here! The ladies and gents that work at Woolfy’s are so kind and attentive to their customers needs.
Although it can get loud, this is only because everyone knows Woolfy’s is the place to be!
The waffle fries, I can say from experience, are some of the best around and we loved the tea so much we bought a canister of it (yes they do sell it for just under $30, you’re not dreaming).
Thank you so much to the team for giving us so much love!
A.
Finally visited this place with friends and I must say that the service and ambience was perfect. Food was different and delicious, everything pictured is worth a try. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new.
P.
Very good coffee. Nice friendly staff. Well presented tasty food. Yummy sweet things
R.
Really enjoyed the food here! Service wasn't too bad. Seemed a bit mixed depending on who you got. Coffee also great!
F.
Great food and great breakfast, average coffee. Best to go early and avoid crowds.
T.
First visit to Woolfy's, and I couldn't help but notice the similar cabinet choices to another highly rated eatery I know of.
Very busy at lunchtime but we managed to get a table for 4 just outside.
Service was OK, the coffee was delicious, I ordered the brioche beef burger and it was fresh & tasty with the thick cut of chips and the jalapeno awesome!. The menu has some unique selections so it is worth exploring the take these guys have on cafe dishes. We also treated ourselves to the cabinet treats and it all went down well with the second coffee.
In the area we sat in customers were allowed to have their dogs dine with them so a good place for dog lovers.
My only gripe is the toilets are down a hallway that appears to be shared with other companies/businesses in the building.
We also didn't get one of our side orders, we never got a chance to raise it as there were no meal checks until we went to pay the bill.
Apart from that enjoyed our visit and would come back again.
A.
Excellent location, very well done interiors and an overall good vibe at the place. If you're going on the weekend or a public holiday, getting a table might be a bit of a wait, but the food more than makes up for that. Do give their doughnuts a try! Very very good coffee!
B.
Quite a nice cafe for food and drinks. Their menu is almost like a standard cafe with some Asian twists.
The watermelon and orange blossom soda was quite refreshing. The chili scrambled eggs were nice but not very spicy. I was also looking forwards to the chili floss but it didn't come with it.
Quite a nice cafe with fairly good service. It's located on a corner and the only entrance is on Cryers road heading towards Highbrook drive (one way in and out). there was quite a bit of parking but I went on a weekend and some of the parking spots were reserved for the other businesses.
C.
Great atmosphere, coffee was amazing. Food was really good, i had the fried chicken which lived up to its reputation. But other than that it wasn't like spectacularly different.
C.
Great to see a wonderful cafe like Woolfy's open up in East Tamaki. Even though its in a commercial business district don't let this put you off. Woolfy's is an exceptional cafe with coffee (Kokako) or tea (Zealong organic grown in the Waikato). Make sure you hit up one of the special made on site cakes or pastries, well to be honest you won't be able to leave without having one, trust me they are soooooo good.
They do a brunch and lunch menu, they specialize in delicious locally sourced food that is free range and organic where possible. Make sure you say hi to Rodger Liu the owner, he is always out the front talking to customers and Scarlett the manager. For brunch we had The Full Moon, very nice and also the Brioche French Toast, yum yum. If you like your coffee, pay a little more and go for the single origin filter coffee, $5 (black) well worth it.
This place is already a big hit so if a big group or want to go for brunch book a table as it gets very busy, and you can understand why.
A.
I have had a pretty consistent yummy food here and excellent service and even better coffee.
S.
Nice food and lovely staff but for me I couldn't stand the smell of bacon burning sorry
J.
The blueberry hotcakes I ordered were light, flavoursome, fruitful and delicious. The condiments surrounding the hotcakes made the meal exciting and colourful.
However, the seating arrangement was tight and felt condensed making it a noisy ambience to dine in and is why I hadn't given this review a 5 star overall experience.
A.
Really nice place for catch up and good food. Friendly staff too.
The meal sizes were just right. Plus 5% surcharge for Labour Day was a little steep but I guess necessary for staff.
Good little hang out👌
A.
Overall a really tidy, clean cafe with great service and a refreshing organic, free range and locally sourced ingredients. We ordered bacon eggs bene and bubble and squeak. The eggs bene came and a spinach brioche type bread which was light and tasty. It also had a tomato relish which brought back memories of bacon and baked beans. The bubble and squeak ratios were a little off with a huge portion of potato and not so much corned beef but was cooked well.
A.
We turned up for Sunday brunch around 11am. Only a few spots was left in the carpark.
It was quite busy already with only a few tables left, and we were lucky to get one of them.
My auntie got Sambal Beef Noodles and I got Eggs Bene with bacon.
The Sambal beef was really good, with light, refreshing flavours.
The eggs bene had an interested tomato chutney? sauce on the plate which added some welcome sourness to the creamy, rich flavours on the plate. The lightly toasted bread has a green colour to it, a slight sweetness and was flavoured, such was quite nice. Eggs had runny yolks and the hollandaise was good.
Staff was attentive and it seems like they rostered on enough staff for how busy it was, which is great.
Had a great experience here, wouldn't mind coming back again.
D.
Had the brioche french toast and jaffa pancakes - what beautiful colours, nice presentation and super sweet, recommend if you have a sweet tooth. loved the Kokako coffees too. Cabinet food looked divine. Outdoor seating is available.
A.
Lovely food. The vegetarian one with mashed peas and edamame has such a refreshing taste to it. Little fluffy is nice too, although bubba is actually too young to appreciate it.
R.
Great food here. Had the home style fried chicken which was pretty good. The atmosphere is also very nice.
D.
The food here is amazing!! The staff are super friendly and really nice. If you're looking for raw, healthy and delicious food totally recommend Woolfys!
J.
One of my favourite cafe in Auckland! Always crowded with people which make me feel alive! Not only nice coffee and food but friendly staff all the time. Always serve on time never let me down.
R.
Omg their blueberry hotcakes are THE BEST, its perfectly put together, the hot cakes are fresh made, the inner being very moist and outer texture nice and crisp. Together with the berries giving it a pinch of tangy sour scent, super delicious!
The bacon IS A MUST!
M.
Lovely staff. Cabinet food looks nice although the uncovered food is exposed to flies. This is the second visit where our eggs benedict has been served cold - it’s as if the eggs are drained and left cold and the hollandaise is cold also - not nice on a winters morning.
O.
Not bad at all! Service and Food both were pretty good. Just a bit too much soy sauce on my scrambled eggs but otherwise very yummy and well made. Also could put a little less spice on spicy lattes (and I am very tolerant to spicy food). Very good overall. Will definitely go again.
K.
Came here before xmas portions were big, food great, came back 3 weeks later portions were def not the same smaller for sure. But will still come back food is great.
A.
Good and fast service mixed with great food and coffee. They also provide options for most dietary choices. Quickly became one of my favorite places to eat.
J.
Have had two different experiences here:
1. Friendly service + good coffee
2. Unfriendly service + bad coffee
Think the staff were perhaps too busy on the second day
J.
I don't know if I've ever had a breakfast as good as I had here. Absolutely fantastic chilli eggs. Service amazing, priced totally reasonably and of course very tasty. Perfect score 👌
A.
I am utterly gobsmacked that this cafe is in the middle of industrial East Tamaki. It's FANTASTIC.
We've been multiple times now, for breakfast or lunch, and I can safely say that nothing we've had here is less than excellent. It's very busy - and is only going to get busier as Highbrook grows - but the service is quick and efficient, and there are food choices from light and healthy to full-on luxury.
As you leave, make sure to pick up something from the counter cabinet for afternoon tea! You won't regret it!
R.
Trying out the new cafe close to home and can confirm it is great. Food is your and coffee excellent. Pleasant staff and quick service.
A.
Great service and delicious food. The ambience and outdoor seating was a nice area to enjoy breakfast.
J.
Great place in Highbrook for a coffee or bite to eat. Can be very busy at peak times. Good food & drinks options and the Eggs Bene we ordered were delicious! Eggs poached to perfection! Coffee was hot & strong and the cabinet food looked very fresh & tempting. Finished off our brunch with a good-sized piece of yummy passionfruit curd slice. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff. Easy parking in the complex carpark or roadside.
N.
The Lamington is to die for! Best Lamington EVER! Coffee was excellent too. Service was ok other than having to steal cutlery from another table as wait staff were busy. We'll be back for sure!
P.
Popped in for a takeaway coffee while in the area. Staff were very friendly and quick to take and make order.
Stylishly decorated interior and nice feel! Perfect for that work coffee
V.
Staff were very friendly. Food was presentable, tasty and coffee was really good. Just maybe the brioche French toast was a tad too sweet for my liking. Just my opinion.
M.
Nice atmosphere with pretty good coffee. Had a chai latte and it was pretty tasty. The food cabinet also looks really good!
A.
Located near a hustling intersection, Woolfy's Cafe is easily seen with their big bright orange sign. With a modern and upstyle interior, it's a bit more than your usual cafe. I was able to enjoy their signature lunch menu burger, which tasted great. Staff were helpful and very down to earth. I had to wait around 25 minutes for my order, which was worth every minute. Would recommend for people both single or in groups of two. Spacious parking near the rear of the building can be accessed through the main road.
M.
They had lots staff on Saturday morning so service was quite quick. The regular size coffee was strong. It was good coffee. Decor was modern and clean. The brioche was delicious slightly warmed.
R.
It has become my fav cafe recently, with lovely food, seating arrangement and friendly staff.
M.
Decided to pop in after driving past with a few friends. Delicious food (particularly the chicken I ordered!), good atmosphere, and friendly service. Would definitely come again if I was in the area!
X.
Nice staff, i like the smoothy, everything is ok
D.
Mixed reactions to the food at our table, the burger was great though
P.
Love the food and the service is really good as well
D.
First try of this cafe, we come out this way often. Amazed by the decor, food, service & coffee. Not often you can tick all the boxes! Thank you will be back 100%
K.
Cool little cafe with friendly staff however we found the chairs quite low or maybe the tables were a bit high!
I had the eggs Benedict which was good, the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The cakes looked amazing too.
P.
Had the chillie scrambled eggs which were amazing!! Their food cabinet is well displayed and has a wide variety of takeaway options. Lots of parking available on the weekends.
D.
Great food and excellent service. The only small negative is the seats were very low for our 3yr old, but they gave her blankets to prop her up a bit
J.
Woolfys never fails, great service, great food, the best BBQ in town, i highly recommend this restaurant
A.
Food is great and delicious. Nice generous portions. Only reason why I didn't give it a 4 star is the noise levels. Even for a Sunday afternoon, it was very noisy
M.
Lovely staff, great coffee and really nice food. Also had a great vaccine pass check-in experience which makes you feel safe and comfortable
K.
Had the eggs bene was nice with different flavours, compared to ur normal eggs bene, slices were also yum decadent for sure! Good service, happy customers 👍
T.
The food was great quality, big servings, quick and well presented by cheerful staff, the coffee good and the chairs comfy. It was also well ventilated on a hot day. On the negative, we had to order at the counter and our table was in front of the counter, so it was up and down to start with, plus we had queues of people hovering around us and chatting right over us for much of our meal. But aim for another table and you'll be sweet.
F.
Great place, great food, great service. Would highly recommend to others. Just maybe one thing to consider, look at the height of your customers when seating them, or provide cushions for shorter people. I'm short, with the short chairs and high tables it was a bit to high for me and my guests. Otherwise a pleasant experience and will most definitely return. Thanks team.
N.
Awesome place to hang. Great food, friendly staff.
L.
Lovely food and service. Coffee sometime tastes burnt
E.
One of the best places for food in highbrook. Fantastic fried chicken and desserts
M.
Really lovely place to eat the kids loved it staff were very friendly
V.
Staff were very friendly. Food was presentable, tasty and coffee was really good. Just maybe the brioche French toast was a tad too sweet for my liking. Just my opinion.
R.
Scones are Epic! But the flat white was more long black, a bit strong.
G.
Lovely place and nice food, Love their cabinet savory, widely range.
V.
Unfortunately I didn't get to eat i was working but the food smelled delish
N.
The Lamington is to die for! Best Lamington EVER! Coffee was excellent too. Service was ok other than having to steal cutlery from another table as wait staff were busy. We'll be back for sure!
A.
Good experience, well presented meals. Nice setting for brunch. Ample parking. Will revisit if I go to that industrial zone.
M.
Lovely staff. Cabinet food looks nice although the uncovered food is exposed to flies. This is the second visit where our eggs benedict has been served cold - it’s as if the eggs are drained and left cold and the hollandaise is cold also - not nice on a winters morning.
A.
Great addition to the area, often very busy well worth booking during lunch time.

G.
Lovely place and nice food, Love their cabinet savory, widely range.
H.
Was very excited to try the restaurant after a long day.
However, wasn't the best quality for price.
The waitress got us the wrong drinks. Which yes, happens sometimes. So no biggie.
We specifically ordered "not runny" eggs and we got very runny eggs.
The chef kindly changed it for us though.
The mushroom medly was so bland no taste no sign of truffle oil which was supposedly an Ingredient. Could not even finish it.
Over all. Good ambience. Friendly staff.
K.
Trendy interior, indoor and outdoor seating, delicious food and extremely good coffee. This is definitely a fav
C.
Great food, service and coffee!
H.
Cosy cafe, delicious food. I had the chicken strips, so bloody delicious
L.
Great food, superb coffee, friendly & efficient service. Love coming here with clients & my girl SoooooperDay Saturday for brekkie after workout. Join us!
R.
Lots of staff but felt not all knew what they were doing.
Lot of tables were empty, staff crowded in the front area but had to wait to be seated.
Went upto front to order salads, one of the staffs were helping me with my order, another staff (assuming new) had questions to ask her, nothing to do with my order. I was stading forever to pay the order I made.
Food was amazing, coffee was good, love the environment and some staff were friendly but definately felt like this place does not have a owner or manager who can get the cafe rolling! Could definatelt imagine chaos IF place was more busy 😅
A.
Great food & ambience! However, the wait time is a bit long, I guess it's because they're very busy, we went for lunch on a Friday, reservation recommended. Many people came for takeaway coffee & pantry items, they looked very nice, have to try it next time.
T.
I really enjoyed the Keto breakfast. Can 100% recommend.
A.
Great addition to the area, often very busy well worth booking during lunch time.
C.
Best cafe spot in Highbrook.
Their kitchen closes at 2pm even though they remain open till 3.30pm so don't get there too late.
Nutritious food with heaps of vege and vegan options available.
J.
Awesome food and decor. Awesome art by the barista
A.
This is my favorite cafe in Auckland. The food is extremely delicious and different variety of food which you do not get in most other cafes. My favorites are Szechuan Chilli Scrambled eggs, Woolfy's Friend Chicken and Fritters and Rasberry and Vanilla House-made soda. Never disappointed having visited this place! The only suggestion for improvement is having more variety on the menu!
R.
Scones are Epic! But the flat white was more long black, a bit strong.
Q.
Delicious food portion could have been a lil bit bigger.
L.
A later review for the company but none the less worth the mention.
I have been a few times but on my last occasion my 3 year old fell off her chair and smacked her head on the concrete. The team were amazing and one guy quickly came with ice wrapped in a clean chux cloth for her. Such a quick thinker. Another gorgeous waitress came with some of her personal face glitter and offered to put some on my girls face to cheer her up. The food is always good but this service was outstanding. What a caring and quick thinking team. Thank you.
D.
Attended an evening function here which I understood to be Woolfy's first so understandably a couple of the staff were nervous but they catered the event superbly and they did well to make the evening go smoothly. Well done to the Woolfy's staff. The evening meals were tasty. Would definitely recommend.
A.
Good experience, well presented meals. Nice setting for brunch. Ample parking. Will revisit if I go to that industrial zone.
O.
Good food. Nice staff. Experimental coffees and drinks.
P.
Jaffa pancakes were delish. Will be coming back on Friday 16 November with my team for a work breakfast. Looking forward to it
J.
Had my birthday brunch here on Saturday. First time eating here and boy was it good. No room for desert so took home a selection of their cakes and deserts. They made the best birthday dinner! Thank you Woolfys. You made my birthday awesome.
Y.
Yum food; awesome customer service and amazing coffee! I ordered an omelet and the serving size is on point (= I saw the French toast that was ordered by a friend and it looked amazing!!!!! If you're in the area this is a place you must visit even if it's just for a coffee. The wait staff are very attentive; always willing to help make the experience something to remember; despite living far away from here I try to make the journey out as I love the atmosphere; lay out and design. Beautiful place to have breakfast (=
J.
Came here for brunch today for the first time with my partner and was really pleased with the food and the service. Decor is really funky, heaps of delish things in the cabinet and the menu has plenty of good options to choose from. Chai latte was delish, they serve up kokako coffee too 👍🏼 and our server was really friendly and attentive. Would def recommend and would def come back !
K.
Lovely coffee. Best I have had in a long time
J.
Woolfy’s is a great cafe that I love eating breakfast at. The Woolfy’s toast- their take on French toast is amazing, with toasted marshmellow on top, berry cream and maple syrup, just delicious paired with an almond milk flat white.
Range of alternative drinks if you don’t do coffee- beetroot latte, turmeric latte, etc. as well as chilled drinks.
For those on the go or wanting something quicker, the cabinet is filled with delicious treats as well. I have tried the snickers slice (GF) and it was delicious.
Highly recommend, staff are lovely and friendly, food is consistently delicious and prices are reasonable, the industrial vibe is pretty cool too
V.
Excellent meal and great coffee.
J.
Nice food, I had the eggs bene and it was delicious, coffee was good. A selection of gluten free options available. Staff were a bit lackluster not overly helpful or attentive. Was a fairly quiet Tues morning, the gentleman at table in front of me had to ask for water several times. Will definitely come back though.
L.
Went over here early Sat morning after reading the reviews. Food was wonderful, coffee was very good but the customer service left a bit to be desired. There were 3 patrons in there when we arrived, shown to table with menu, didn't take us long to decide, sat there making it obvious we were ready to order. Three more different lots of people came in & had their orders taken before us. The waiting staff who served us acted like they had had a very late night! No conversation. Dosent take much to say good morning.
R.
Great food and coffee. Had a vegan bagel that was delicious. Plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Great service by the waiting staff too, friendly and helpful.
J.
My favourite cafe ever. Woolfy's offer the most unique menu found in no other cafes. There's a huge range of totally delicious cooked food plus there's a huge range of ready made stuff that rotates everyday. The best cafe! Ever!
D.
This hidden gem in industrial highbrook This is my go to coffee joint. Something different from all the foodbars around.
Great service, food and banter from the staff.
Coffee here is great, always consistent and reliable to give you that pick me up.
Y.
Great service. Good food. Nice portions.. Not too big... Not too small. Pork and puha pie was pretty damn good. 😘👌
n.
Expensive for what you get but decent food. Took awhile to get a staff member to take our order. Some dishes, especially the burgers are very difficult to eat given how much they are stuffed and you end up with a soggy (still reasonably tasty) bun mess on your plate.
V.
Unfortunately I didn't get to eat i was working but the food smelled delish
C.
Had eggs Benes and a mocha - wasn't too bad at all.
4 stars though - it didn't set any new standard's in terms of food or service.
Will pop in again for a coffee - but won't have a meal here
S.
Nice little cafe with good coffee. Very noisy though and was hard to conduct business. The service was great. Both friendly and fast. The cabinet food looked great and I will definitely try it next time.
T.
Well presented with lots of promise in an area that needs it. Unfortunately service was slow (even with 2 wait staff for a mostly empty cafe) and food could have been better in execution. Poached eggs overdone. My creamy mushrooms were good, my friend barely touched his eggs bene. I'm hoping for improvement.
R.
I like to go here for brunch. Always a hub of activity, very popular spot. Food is always super quick and menu is creative - a little bit more than your usual cafe. Coffee was good. Menu was looking a bit shabby last time I visited though and the place could be a bit cleaner, but all and all, it's a good spot for some coffee and food!
S.
Busy place, huge portions and lovely food on offer
C.
Decent coffee, but I would give the food a miss. We got an almond croissant which was very dry and made my friend feel sick all afternoon, I think it had been in the cabinet for a few days. We also got an eggs Benedict where the bread was very stale. Not great.
J.
Amazing!!! Must be the best cafe out East! Menu is full of mouth watering gastronomic delights which are suberbly constructed. Very Instagram worthy. Outstanding coffee. Something for us gluten free, dairy free, vegan option eaters also which is great to see. Cabinet food is very pleasing on the eyes and the stomach. Can't wait for our next visit to try more.
M.
Great service, great coffee, and great food. Can't fault them really
J.
Went at lunchtime as a group of 10 people. We ordered our food and sat down. 10 minutes later, the staff informed us that our choices were not available anymore. We changed our orders. 5 minutes later the staff again told us that our choices were not available. We're changed our orders for the second time. Was a little disappointing considering we were having a birthday lunch and had made reservations a few days prior. However the food that arrived was tasty and well priced.
S.
Positive: great atmosphere, great deco, friendly staffs, and great coffee! The prawn rice roll was fresh and the sauce was really good!
Negative; poached egg over cooked, the bread for the meal could’ve been toasted a bit as it was chewy, and prawn rice roll could’ve have come with a little presentation.
H.
Love the food and coffee just wish the coffee sizes were a bit bigger 😋
M.
I found the cabinet food fantastic and the staff very helpful. The coffee was lovely and the atmosphere was buzzing. The kitchen food tasted very premade and heated up both times I have gone. Won’t return for lunch but definitely for a coffee and cake.
R.
Lovely food. We had the button mushrooms, jafa hot cakes, eggs bene with mushrooms and bacon and eggs. Portions are very generous. Coffee is really good and staff were very friendly to us. Just a bit disappointed to see a couple with a child asked to move tables as they wanted to keep the slightly larger table free. The restaurant wasn't full. Plenty of tables available. They left and we thought it was a little over the top.
L.
The Asian omelette was delish and there are so many great sweet treats to choose from. Not the warmest place, or perhaps we were sitting in a breeze but it’ll be lovely in summer! Will definitely be back.
f.
Food, coffee, venue, friendly staff was good 👍.
l.
Simply one of the best cafes in Auckland. 5 stars in each category of quality, value for money and service. Staff and the cooking crew should be very proud. Going here is a must.
B.
Awesome service from Garam 😁Great coffee & food!
S.
Great Food! Great Service! And a Great Atmosphere!!
T.
Great Cafe! Great Food ! and the staff are amazing and friendly! went in on Sunday, couldn't decide what I wanted but they had that covered ! the cafe was super busy yet the coffee and food came out quite quickly and it was so good ! will definitely be back :)
b.
First time today visiting
Great service, nice apple/fruit crumble,
Nice pot of tea
One grumble I do not like the milk container put inside the cup I'm going to drink out of, I prefer it beside
Other than that I will visit again
Cheers
J.
I'm disappointed to have to review so low. I enjoy the food here, however when a group of my friends ate at your cafe on Sat morning we received strange service. Our smile-less waitress dumped most our beverages and food items in front of one of my friends with out a word so my friend was left to serve us our plates which seemed highly unprofessional. My friend who hadn't been to Woolfys commented "the food is good, but I couldn't come back to a place with such bad service"
K.
While in the past I have enjoyed the coffee here (the food is not bad either), I would like to point out to the venue that it’s not that difficult to update your opening hours on google. Three times have we visited in 2019 and 2020 only to find the cafe closed. May we have our fuel reimbursed for this inconvenience?
D.
Friendly staff, good service and good food
S.
Nice addition to the Highbrook scene and offers some stunning cabinet fare and also a menu. The omelette was nice and tasty but not quite on the mark value wise. The coffee and cakes will definitely come back for. A suggestion that maybe the treats on offer above the cabinet are covered or shielded so that people cannot breathe over them.
W.
Hugo brews the best coffee and the food displayed is delicious along with a generous menu provided to choose from.
A.
Funky cafe with cosy decor and a good varied menu, something for everyone. This place gets very busy but staff were still pleasant. Parking can be a mission - the cafe is in a commercial/industrial zone on the through-route from Highbrook. There were some interesting menu items, two of our group had the visually appealing brioche french toast which had an upside-down ice cream cone and berry mascarpone. Very filling!
C.
Was really looking forward to trying out wolfy's however a 45 minute wait for eggs bene and hot cakes not great. Our waitress could do with learning the word please. Food was nice but an average experience all round.
L.
Great burger for lunch (takeaway)
J.
Very nice coffee. Good, well presented food at a reasonable price. Keto friendly. Quite busy, because it was good.
N.
Great coffee, great food and service
M.
Food and service was great. Coffee was average
B.
Probably the pick of the crop for coffee and lunch in East Tamaki, plus open weekends which is great! Friendly staff, wide cabinet food selection, coffee and other drinks are always good! Menu is slightly limited, lunch menu especially, however there is enough in the cabinet to satisfy everyone's tastes. Would recommend 😁
C.
My cake from the cabinet tasted to cold (like that strange aftertaste been in fridge overnight) or maybe a day old. Cappuccino was very weak not the best coffee. It was also freezing in there.
My daughters wanted the french toast with cotton candy when it came there was no cotton candy they was extremely disappointed. Was going to mention to the waitress but she never came back over to check how the meal was.
C.
Great coffee, great service, and make sure you try the fried chicken roll
S.
Food was really good, chocolate cake was impressed me. Went there on weekend, too busy, so waited a little bit long. And little bit noisy, no enough baby chair. It is good place to eat with friends.
C.
One of the best places for coffee and cafe food for in East Tamaki. The service is great and the chefs put together some good cafe food.
D.
Cool cafe in a busy business area. Good systems, friendly staff. Coffee and food lovely. Found some of the chair height to table ratio a bit odd / uncomfortable. Otherwise 5 stars.
J.
Woolfy's changed their coffee beans recently and the new taste is excellent. Friendly professional staff too
M.
Fully hipster cafè in the best of ways.
Beautiful coffee with a stunning nutty rich flavour with no hint of bitter undertones and that was even as a soy option.
Great takeaway options.
Looking forward to eating in next time.
Shame they’re not open Sunday to as it’d make sunday brunch a no brainer.
A must try.
A.
Great coffee and food to go with
S.
Chef is very famous person.
A.
Keto breakfast was large and very good. Eggs bene was good but bread not toasted so cold but replaced quickly and with a smile.
A.
Great food, service, place, staff and affordable price 👍
S.
The food was good. The brioche was really tasty. My hubby wasn’t too impressed with his chilli scrambled eggs. Service was great even though it was busy.
M.
Awesome coffee and always friendly great service. The food is super too. Thanks guys
S.
The chef's and baker are fantastic artists. The food is great and the coffee and Tea fantastic.
M.
Amazing food. Good location lots of parking always friendly happy staff and service .. will be back to woolfys for sure!
F.
Nice setting, attentive service and great instagrammable dishes. Not all tasted as good as it looked though. But overall, a great variety of foods that will tick most boxes for a lot of people.
l.
Best eggs bene I've had in years!! Loving the Tumeric late and the atmosphere and staff are incredible!!!
I'm thrilled to have Woolfy's so close to my home with such an outstanding menu!!!
S.
Good food and service
Good to see the place revamped with comfortable seating inside and the outdoor area.
E.
Good food, always packed. Service can be pretty slow. Disappointed to see they use plastic straws and served our smoothies (which were eat in) in plastic to go cups and a plastic straw..... why!? Woolfys please ditch the plastic!
A.
Great breakfast. It was hard to choose what to have from a comprehensive menu. Friendly staff.
H.
Can’t fault it except that most of the times they get you your order without the coffee even you mentioned that you like the order all together. Other than this, very good atmosphere and awesome food and desert
V.
Woolfy's is a top cafe in my opinion. First visit won't be the last. We had an omelette and the Jaffa Hotcakes, no point in taking pictures as there are lots of high quality photos on all websites. Many creative twists to normal dishes and some highly creative dishes of their own. Chilli Scrambled Eggs, an interesting take on a big breakfast called Can't Decide. Kokako coffee is beautifully done here. Well stocked cabinet with both savoury and sweet options. Parking was easy early on a weekend but I think during the week it may be less so
K.
I come here often. Great coffee, cabinet food and menu food is great. Staff are fantastic!!!! Finally a place that has it all.
A.
Real crispy chips. Burger was great!
D.
Best local cafe in the botany/east tamaki area, ordered the salmon egg bene, chilli scrambled eggs and jaffa hotcakes. Well presented tasted good and coffee was great
S.
Loved the food, the service and the staff is exceptional. Parking easily available, as well.
H.
Coffee was amazing ! Food was alright. Breakfast foo yong and burger were nice, but nothing special. I would come again just for the coffee.
P.
Great ambience. Really like the food. But one thing I don't understand is, why the people who work there don't smile. It really boosts a person's day especially when they are getting their morning coffee
T.
Love this place, food & service is always good... They also like to change the menu occasionally to keep things fresh 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿....
M.
You can NEVER order the charcoal activated coffee... I've visited 3 times over the last few months and I've been told either they've run out or they haven't had any available in the last month due to delivery. Not sure what the correct answer is - but either way it's never available but always on the menu taunting me haha... Also, we were asked to leave due to a booking made and they had no seats available - however it took half an hour for us to receive our orders and when looking around upon being pushed to leave - there were plenty of empty tables/chairs avilable. We had also made a booking that morning... but hey... that's the kind of service we received and you will receive feedback accordingly... also, when u pay for just a coffee to go the time u receive your coffee can also be unpredictable. Safe to say if the line is long there will be no way at all that extra service will be available (or speed up)... so if you want that 'quick' to go coffee - you have been warned! ON THE PLUS SIDE - Great cafe ambience! The food looks amazing and tastes pretty good. Lots of variety too. Moral of the story - Go on a day where it's not busy and you're not strapped for time ;-)
I.
Everything here is amazing!! Hotcakes are my favorite! Lost a star as im a fussy chai latte drinker and my order wasnt what i asked for but still yummy!
D.
Great menu. Surprisingly fast service for how busy they were. It shows how good it is by being so busy on a Sunday in such an out of the way location.
S.
Delicious fresh meals with yummy twists and takes on classic breakfast/ lunch options 👌🏽 classy indoor and outdoor settings that accommodate both duos and large groups getting together.
T.
Friendly and quick service, yummy food
E.
Yummy food and nice coffee for lunch.
O.
Can sometimes get a bit busy. Food is presentable. Good quality food. Perfect for brunch and if you have a sweet tooth. Can sometimes take a while to recieve the food.
F.
Amazing food snd lovely service. Our once a week go to place
M.
Food arrives at our table relatively quick. Coffee was nice although a little too much of cinnamon on the Cappuccino.
L.
Food was excellent couldn't fault it. Unfortunately I the seats were uncomfortable and it was very noisy due to concrete floors. Which is why I didn't give it the top score.
B.
Great food, and nice venue for a meeting or a catch up with friends
S.
This is a great place for a business lunch.
D.
Really cool place. Great looking food and good coffee. There is high chairs which is a bonus and an out door area for your doggo
S.
Looks like you still havent updated your menu on the breakfast foo yong? Tonkatsu means Ton/don = pork and katsu = the way its cooked(crumbed and fried). If you are only using the sauce, specifically say tonkatsu sauce. Other than that misleading menu, everything else was okay.
T.
Amazing food and pwrfect coffee everytime. Can get busy but service doesn't differ. Good atmosphere
M.
Good food and friendly staff
B.
Amazing food and friendly staff
S.
Good food and good customer service
T.

J.
Had the beef burger. Was juicy and cooked to perfection! Service was very very good. No complaints at all. Recommended!
C.
Delicious food with great service and beautiful presentation. The cabinet food also looked amazing!
L.
Props to the FOH staff here. I sat near to one of the rudest people I have ever come across I whole back. The Woolfys team were still humble and hospitable to her. She was like the final boss of rudeness and Wooflys team clocked the level 🏆
D.
Beautiful food, good selection, very busy but go inside and ask for a table wait times have never been long for me
I.
Food and coffee was great although was served as takeaway even though I had sat at a table. Maybe because I was on my own they assumed takeaway?
F.
Plenty of parking and seating. Good coffee and pleasant staff. Smiling and happy
R.
Best coffee in highbrook, good cabinet food.
C.
Wife meeting day with friends
Latte for all
D.

Good food at reasonable prices. It was very busy when we were there so they must be doing something right.
R.

Nice food, could use some sound dampening as it's impossible to even have a conversation over the other customers during slightly busier hours 😅
R.
