G.Coffee just ok , eggs Benedict's ( bacon and salmon) basic but tasty. Nice staff, asked several times if food was ok, always a good thing. Nice buzz.
J.Keep an eye out for Tapas nights. Teamed with a nice glass of wine it’s a great evening out with friends.
Daytime cafe with excellent granola and great coffee. Great cabinet food selection as well as extensive menu to select from. Also happy to amend to suit dietary requirements. Wonderful staff make this a lovely place to go.
R.Best croissant and wonderful coffee but the burst of flavour from the ginger crunch that melted in your was best of all. Sitting in the sun amidst the tasteful decor added to the ambiance and enjoyable experience from an efficient friendly staff. Thank you Kahuna Matata 😄( love the name … that’s a draw card for sure!)

Reallllly good coffee. Always busy, but not crowded. Great cafe ambience and atmosphere. Beautiful menu and food, prepared by experienced chefs.
And, the owners are top notch, lovely people.

T.My preferred coffe but they will need to invent more outdoor seating shortly. People will be nervous about taking off their masks in confined spaces shortly.
M.Had a wonderful lunch when we arrived in town and enjoyed it so much we went back for their opening night of Tapas. Hospitality and service were fantastic, shout out to Luka our young waiter. The food and flavours were very much to our liking. Whether you are a local or a visitor like ourselves make sure you go to Hakuna Matata Cafe!

B.The menu is interesting and full of potential but the execution was a bit hit and miss. The veges in the pulled pork sandwich consisted of a couple of brussel sprouts. The fries were great. The service was the biggest letdown, the staff gave a vibe that we were bothering them with our custom, but the surliness and lack of care did provide some entertainment. Saturday morning, so maybe the boss was away and the staff had a big night the day before.

K.We popped in just by chance, and were completely blown away! Best chai latte I have had in a very long time (spicy, and great anise flavours). The eggs benedict were great, I highly recommend the pumpkin and kale. The heirloom tomatoes on rye bread were also fabulous. The rye bread was rustic and flavourful.
The service was friendly, prompt, and warm. I would absolutely recommend stopping by.
N.So good! I had a latte (they use Unknown Chapter beans, a great roaster from Christchurch) and the Open Beef Sandwich which was great. The owners are lovely too, and to top it off they have WiFi which is a rarity in NZ cafes! Would recommend.

T.We ate here a couple of times, for breakfast and lunch and was very satisfied. Great tasting coffee, delicious food, good location, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. Highly recommend if you're in Blenheim!
