Awesome breakfast and organic coffees. The cafe has not only a diverse menu, but also a cabinet with sandwiches, cakes and tarts. Atmosphere and decor helps creating its unique identity combining antiques and flowers. Family friendly :)

Nice charming cafe in the city centre. I ordered a cappuccino - double shot standard as most places in South Island- and a kumara bacon tart. The tart came extremely hot and coffee not really... staff could be more welcoming...but hey...they are very good anyway. Recommended!

Here 2nd January, only place open. Own my own catering place in Auckland so am a bit fussy, haha! What a great place, nice friendly welcoming staff, excellent coffee & slices. Didn't think too much of the smoothies, need to up those somehow. If you're in or passing through Blenheim go here, really recommend this place. Hi Team Ritual, I use Fruzio, Nelson based. Through Bidfood up here but you should be able to go direct as just down the road from you.

Excellent service. I had a big breakfast. Eggs fried on twoslices of cibata toast ( beautiful bread ), bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, chopped potato and two krinsky type sausages. Well presented and mouth wateringly tasty.

Coffee excellent, we had delicious lunches with fruit crumble and yoghurt to follow. This place is quirky, with all sorts of memorabilia in odd combinations, like the Barby and blender theme. NZ trendy and clever, clean, fun, nice staff.

Plenty of food options in cabinets,vegan friendly as well. Ordered a stuff kumara, quite fulfilling and like the sauce. Like the old school deco of the cafe, just not big enough... Only downside about service is slooooow even when we just order item from cabinet that just need to get reheat, serving lady is a bit “loud” when food are put on our table and she don't realised at all....

We were looking for a place for brekkie at around 2pm, weren't having much luck, but then found this place - while they weren't doing breakfast, they did have the most amazing keto roll! Egg 'pancake' bacon, cream cheese, sundried tomatoes, spinach...yum! Their raw desserts looked incredible too! And a great collection of quirky books 😆 loved it all

Visit this cafe almost daily. In Blenheim it's arguably some of the best coffee, it's located conveniently, and provides a warm comfortable setting. Customers appreciate the small gestures: blankets for outdoor seating, free coins for parking etc. I can appreciate the comments below from passing patrons concerning service, and my own experience initially felt similar. However after observing over a longer period of time, it's clear this cafe's relationship with it's customers grows. If you're looking for a place to access wifi, keep walking. - Karl

Great staff, fantastic food, and fabulous coffee. Love the decor. The only negative is the size of the cafe. It's small and cozy but because of this the amount of noise from other people talking is a bit much for me personally.

Food was pretty good (free range eggs, local bread etc.) and service was friendly. Cabinet food, cooked breakfasts, good coffee/drinks menu. A bit hippy, with a retro/sixties feel, kind of reminds me of cafes in university areas in Melbourne. It's popular, so they do just fine without offering WiFi ("so you can talk to each other" 🤷) - good for avoiding laptop zombies I guess, but also a bit annoying if you're a traveller and just want to update your maps.

This place used to be more of a vegan/vegetarian eatery but in recent years under newer management has started serving sacrilegious things like Bacon and eggs. The food and drinks are great and it shows in how busy the place often is.

Wanted pancakes or French toast and they unfortunately don't serve either. Had the waffles, very average. A whole lot of berry sauce on top, a bit cold and just sliced banana. Just a bit of a boring average brekky dish. My brother had the eggs benedict and said it was good. Great coffee though and nice little rustic Cafe in the center of blenheim. Would try again if there was a little more variety especially for breakfast.

Service from Julie and the team @Ritual Cafe is class act. Being based in Auckland, I needed some coffees delivered to a client. Having been turned down by a couple of cafes in town, found these guys and they couldn't be more courteous and helpful. Can't recommend highly enough.

¡Los huevos rancheros son muy buenos! The poached eggs were a little overcooked, which is just how I like 'em; gooey and jammy in the centre, not runny like most places do them. I always forget to ask, when ordering poached eggs, if they can be left in a little longer to firm up, so I was pleasantly surprised when they were the perfect consistency for me. Good stuff. Beans and guac were also smashing. I added bacon and, while it wasn't the crispiest, it sure tasted delicious. The Velvet Latte was lovely. Not too sweet with a hint of earthiness, along with the striking red colouring, from the beetroot. Interesting decor, too. My favourite feature was a Ken doll feeding a Barbie into a meat grinder.

Great food and friendly staff. We stopped in for breakfast and had a wonderful experience - restaurant was full, so that’s always a good sign! I had the tofu breakfast burrito, which was delicious and came with a small side salad. The baked goods in the case also looked amazing. Wide variety of sweet and savory pastries.

The food was just perfect, the coffee was the best I had in my life (although I am not a huge fan of it, but this one was delicious). The only bad things: the staff was not welcoming AT ALL, almost rude actually. There are not many tables for the number of people that goes there, so getting a table can be a bit annoying.

Stopped for a snack and had the gluten free passionfruit and white chocolate cheesecake. Waitress was pleasant, and our cheesecake was great! Lots of gluten free food in the cabinets that all looked really good as well. She poured a generous glass of wine too, which always helps the review ;) we'll be sure to return next time we're in Blenheim to try out some different cabinet items.

As a visitor to Blenheim its always enjoyable roaming the cafes. ‘Rituals’ is absolutely delish. Being on a keto diet can be highly restrictive when out but this cosy cafe caters for those brilliantly. I immediately eyed up the egg wrap (how they get that egg wrap so smooth I don’t know) filled with cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, spinach and I think capsicum. It was superbly made (I look forward to trying to replicate this recipe at home), huge but most importantly mouth watering. I devoured the lot without one ounce of guilt and felt full for the re,winder of the day! Staff very friendly. One staff member directed us to their other cafe a short distance away in the nearby suburbs. We visited their for a morning coffee and a search of their food cabinets. This day they had an egg wrap heavily filled with Brie and smoked salmon. I had to restrain myself,having just had similar for breakfast, but gosh, whoever is their baker I wish they could open a place down South. Thank you.

This was a great find. In the main shopping district of Blenheim it has a character an 50s vibe. NB no wifi....it is a place to talk. The menu was compact but offered good choices. Seemed to be a care over the food. The coffee is Ritual Coffee Company, 100% Fairtrade and organic. Full flavour. Seems a venue for locals which is always a good sign. Cubical seating for couples or fours with a larger central table. Recommend.

Great breakfast here. I had salmon and eggs... it was delicious and a generous serving on two slices of five-grain toast. This was the best salmon and eggs I've had. Generally at most establishments a small piece of salmon is spread on top of the eggs or put on the side. Not at Ritual, the salmon was mixed through the eggs and there was a lot of it. My partner had the goat cheese and tomatoes and this was also lovely. She enjoyed it and it was so big she took half of it home to enjoy later. Coffee was strong and hot.

DEUTSCH Das The Ritual ist ein Café in dem der Kaffee zelebriert wird. Er ist von besonderer Qualität und hat einen ganz eigenen Geschmack. Das Personal ist super freundlich und die Location sehr trendig. Musik aus den 70ern tönt aus den Lautsprechern und man fühlt sich aufgefordert zu relaxen. Es gibt allerhand Leckere Backwaren aber auch den einen oder anderen Salat Von mir eine klare Empfehlung hier mal vorbei zu schauen wenn man in der Stadt ist.
