The best filo so far in North Island cafe. Really well-made filo indeed!!! Great staff, nice cafe. Coffee is not there yet but acceptable. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Facility 5/5 Coffee 4/5 Definitely come back again when visiting Cambridge.

Decent food on enroute to Rotorua. The breakfast bowl could have done with a bit of salad leaves to balance the halloumi and potato but the taste was good! My friend's Beef Noodle Salad was generously portioned, however covered with a bit too much sauce so was a bit savoury for her taste.

Very nice food and excellent coffee. The various daily specials were all nice. While the setting was spartan, it was cosy enough. Ample parking and some outdoor seating available.

They got one of the best coffee's in town, really loved it !!! The food menue has a lot of tasty potions, been there 3 times and tried many of them and they were really nice... Once We came as a group of 13 people and they managed perfectly to serve us on time.

Very good food, nice people. Range limited by having (gf) on many items, so that's good if you want gf, but limits the selection you want normal tasting food. All the meals we ordered were excellent.

The food was awesome with a good variety of gluten free sweets available. I enjoyed my mocha too. A good variety of seating with standard chairs and tables then a couple of couches and some outdoor tables too. Plenty of parking and friendly staff

3 people ate with me. Isnt a cheap place but the servings are good in general. I had a lovely tasting mushroom medley meal, then had to pay extra to have a toasted slice of ciabatta with it which seems extreme. Another at our table had the seafood chowder and loved it it was luscious and then seafood in it was large and lovely. Another had the Thai beef salad and said it was very bland almost like they'd maybe forgotten the thai dressing. The last meal tasted better but was so meager compared to the other meals it couldn't have gone without comment at the table by its recipient. It was a Crispy pork nap bun. On the whole a lot of reasonably priced good quality meals available and my mates who eat there regularly were surprised by the 2 meals that they tried and were disappointed in. Obviously not their regular choices.

Eggs Benedict needs improvement. Eggs cooked beautifully, however ciabatta was smothered in spinach 10mm thick, hollandaise sauce was smothered all over (too much), with way too much salmon over top, resulting in soggy ciabatta. The place was clean and has fast service, with decent coffee and drinks.

Really yummy food. Was a great way to spend a Sunday breakfast with a friend. Got a little loud as kids were throwing toys across the room. But other than that great place. New owners are doing a fabulous job.

Had a lunch with work friends - everyone was pleased with their meals, and mine was delicious :). Given we were a large group the kitchen managed well to serve all our meals within minutes of each other. And the coffee too, as usual was superb. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Thanks!

Went to the Red Cherry today, for an 80th Birthday surprise, the food was fantastic, great selection, the staff were fantastic. I had a Chicken Burger, omg, it was huge, the meals are very well priced, they even went out of their way to make my elderly Mum a cheese and onion toastie, that was not on the Menu, thanks for that. A great lunch thank you...

Coffee OK. 3rd time I have had a coffee where the milk has been steamed twice! Not on Red Cherry, very disappointing. People be aware and watch, if they just add more milk to already steamed milk, it makes the coffee taste a little off. Ask them to start with fresh milk.

$4.5 for espresso is expensive considering they roast their own coffee. Taste pretty good though. Menu looks interesting, but again seems overpriced. Service was okay.

We started off with good coffee, there was 8 of us and we had 2 lots of coffee over 2 hrs, then mostly cooked steak chips, the peppermint slice was good. Not a great gluten free selection though. The coffee roaster was noisy as, so we had trouble hearing our elders. But it was the older serving lady glaring at us that was off putting. So only 3 stars.

Just stopped for a coffee and a scone. Awesome friendly service. Sat out side on a lovely comfy couch and enjoyed life. Great place to be.

The food here was awesome. We ordered 4 meals and everything was good. The wait staff are friendly and everything came out correctly. There can be a little delay if a lot of people turn up at once, but it is so very worth the wait! Our new favorite place.

I'm a truckie and as such I've had a rather vast sampling of coffee's. And the Red Cherry coffee's are tops. And the cheese scones with butter and the crispy eggs and the sweet treats and everything else is damn good too. How are Kiwis supposed to stay trim with such fine grub in offer?

Lovely wee cafe. Friendly staff. My partner had seafood chowder and he rated it. I had s lamb pie and was amazing as well

It was ok. Eggs benny were on Salmon, smoked by Red Cherry. only lightly smoked and salmon was not the freshest. Hollandaise was made by themselves, just a bit lacking... had better. Chocolate sauce on the side of kids pancakes was fermented/rancid, however were enjoyed anyways (I only noticed once she was finished eating them), offered replacement but was already done. Recommend the caramel slice the best! and ginger slice, great touch with the ginger pieces in icing. :) Coffee is STRONG if you like it this way. Just FYI . GREAT kids corner here, kept the 7 and 5 to happy in between times. :)

Nice little cafe in an old red barn, as a boutique coffee roaster it obviously has great coffee. But it also has great food and a really nice play area suitable for kid's under 5

Came here for good coffee 15 years ago. Now they serve food as well. However, I think the food is not as good as before, but I recommend to come a have a cup of coffee when you need coffee on the road to Hamilton or Cambridge.
