What a lovely friendly cafe, the variety of food inside the cabinet is amazing covering a lot of different tastes and diets, great selection of coffees and drinks, blackboard menu. Highly recommended the kid's macaroni cheese made for adults too. Bathroom and books next door on site. Highly recommend

Just moved to Gladstone stopped in for lunch today. Was absolutely amazing. The choice of food in the cabinets looked divine and the staff on front were so friendly and very helpful. I can not wait to eat here again and will recommend to everyone I know Thank you Page 42. :)

Excellent toasted paninis with a simple delicious fresh beetroot pickle & lettuce reasonably priced. Coffee very good too.

What a gem of a cafe! Beautiful food, excellent (Wellington-worthy) coffee, personal service and the serenity that only the close proximity of a bookshop can create. Reward yourself with a visit.

A cafe located in a local book shop, gotta be a win! The food is divine and the drinks are delish. The staff always have a smile and up for a quick chatter while serving. With the bookshop right there you can always browse the shelves while waiting for your coffee or food.

As a combination of book shop, cafe and gelateria this works quite well. Located on the southern end of the main street of Carterton (SH2) it is a great place for a snack or a more substantial meal. They have a great selection of gelato as well as some yummy cafe food. The service was friendly and helpful. Prices were moderate. There is plenty of indoor seating and the atmosphere is pleasant. Overall a very positive experience. I would recommend.

I go here every week on my lunch break. The staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. I'd recommend the ham and cheese omelet paired with a smoothie. It's a great lunch for these warm summer days

Ok. It was open on the 2nd unlike most other places in town

Very friendly staff, good coffee and food, reasonable prices. Nice touch being attached to the bookstore so one can browse the books. Tables and floors kept clean, clean toilet too! Definitely worth a stop and a chat.

In love with the menu! I’m looking forward to eating my way through it. Today’s mushrooms were cooked to perfection! Took a chance with the beetroot latte, and I’m glad I did as it was really yum, I love the creativity! You can expect me back every time we’re in the Wairarapa

Best coffee in town, and consistantly nice food and atmosphere.

Food was divine. Lamb sausages were full of flavour with no hint of greasiness, and the rostis were crisp on the outside and smooth as silk within.

Absolutely love this place. It has the best range of cabinet food in the Wairarapa. I make the trip over regularly from Wellington.

Great waffles and pancakes, lost a star cos one order came with tomatoes when we told them that the person was intolerant to them and not to include them on the plate.
