Super cool, quirky Bohemian vibe here. Loved it. Very different to all the other high street modern cafes in the area. They have old beautiful furniture, lovely little lamps all over and plants. It's a must do in Christchurch if your in the area. Also free WiFi, great coffee, good food and great music taste!

Beautifully arranged meals 💫 The elderflower lemon pancakes were fluffy and flavour packed. Topped with grilled banana, maple syrup, berry compote, fresh fruit and whipped cream. And a thick piece of chocolate for extra bliss! The french toast was in no way inferior to the pancakes! Lemon Tree Café yields a cleverly designed, homely and warm interior featuring a variety of aromatic herbs and leafy plants. ☕ Underground coffee 👌 Very pleasant experience!

Lovely place, one of a kind. The waffles with chicken are our favourite. The nachos are also great. If you are after a nice breakfast, lunch, brunch, this place is what you need.

Good food and service. Went for brunch and there was a good selection on the menu. My only gripe is as a tea drinker I don't like the little milk jug being put inside the cup I'm going to drink out of when it is brought to the table. Who knows what was on the surface it was sitting on before being put in my cup.

One of Best Coffe shops you could enjoy your break time in Christchurch. Perfect atmosphere, Lovely interior design, Friendly staff and fantastic decorations dishes. Couldn't really expect this much high quality dishes! It's a bit weird to say but if you order more than 2 dishes, I recommend you to have some water before you try another one. Don't spoil the taste yourself.

The Lemon Tree catering is amazing, we have used them many times for client functions and the food is outstanding. Sylvester the Catering Manager delivers personally and is superb to deal with throughout. The value for money is exceptional.

Came here for brunch with a group of friends. Loved the interior, it feels almost like having food at home - unfortunately, the food wasn't exceptional. It was good, just unremarkable. Myself and a mate shared two dishes and they were... Mediocre. The pancakes, despite fluffy, had little toppings and next to no maple syrup on them. The sauted veggies and hash were nice but... Lacking that little magic that makes you moan. I won't be dreaming of their food anytime soon. More veggie options please!

I had a voucher to spend at Lemon Tree Cafe which expired on Aug 31st but due to covid I had to cancel a few bookings but finally in level 2 I was able to get a booking on 22nd September and they honoured my voucher. The service was outstanding, I have a hearing impairment and lip read, so I new that this was going to be tough for me, the young lady that served us was very understanding when I asked if she could remove her mask when speaking to me. She wore her mask at all times but when she came to our table she would take it down and speak directly at me, this was just so compassionate of her and made my outing wonderful. Thank you so much for a great experience and for your understanding.

We didn't even know this Cafe was here! Got a grab one on a whim and we were so surprised. We had a breakfast, bagel with bacon, a bacon butty, orange juice and coffee. My only slight complaint would be the toast was barely buttered so the butty was very dry but that was it. It was all absolutely beautiful! The decor was do quirky. We'll definitely be back

Awesome place!! Finally a cafe in Christchurch with some chill and relax seats. The cafe is pretty big so plenty of space. Very good atmosphere it's like going back in past with all the quirky furniture. Even the music in the background is really cool. Nice cakes and plenty of tea options. Would definitely recommend it.

What an absolutely delightful find! This cafe is so quaint and charming and at the same time so eclectically exciting. I really love the missed matched furniture and decor. However, the real joy comes from their beautifully crafted Underground bean coffees and exquisite fare. Their crispy kale and lemon squid salad was an absolute winner for me. They have a wonderful all day menu and their cabinet food will have you drooling. I didn't try one, but I have heard that they are locally famous for their smoothies. I will definitely need to append trying one to my bucket list if they are that good. The service was lightening quick and our waiter would put the Flash out to pasture. The cafe was impeccable as we're the rest rooms. Well done, team!

The young guy serving went out of his way for us - bringing over a highchair before we'd even sat down or asked and promptly exchanging my friend's coffee after realizing he'd put cinnamon on by mistake, without her having to ask.

Originally we were heading to another coffeeshop for breakfast but couldn't walk past the intricate Lemon Tree décor. Old school furniture, vintage decorations, iron work and flower pots will create an atmosphere of your grandma's backyard where you get delicious food and coffee. As we were told it's all about big portions as they are truly generous so come hungry

Went with a friend for brunch. My friend was very late and the staff all checked to see if they could help me, including the chefs and I believe the owner. They were all so friendly and welcoming. My friend and I both had blacks which were very nice. I ordered their version of a big breakfast. It was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. My friend had the meusli which was also beautiful, with flowers and fresh fruit, and she said it was delicious. Really nice vibe and cool decor. Highly recommended!

Tried this place for the first time after finding it on a grab one deal and loved the vintage decor and cottage vibe as soon as we walked in the door.The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour once it arrived to our table but prior to this we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for our food to come out, we were not too impressed about that however as it turned out the food only took 35 minutes.Price wise they are pretty good so we will be returning.

I use to love this little cafe but after continued disappointment since it changed hands I won't go back, despite it being so close. Their take away coffees are (what appears to be after repeat occasions) purposefully filled at least an inch shorter than every where else. Their meals have become smaller (big breakfast seems to have been halved) but the price has gone up an average of $5 making it more expensive than anywhere nearby. Their croissants and danishes are two day old stale and tough which they try disguise by offering to heat up even when it's a danish and inappropriate. It's a shame, this use to be a hidden gem I visited almost daily. Now, I wouldn't recommend.

Staff were helpful, and I loved my veggie fritter topped with veggie spring rolls. It came with salad (too much salad dressing, so will ask for dressing on the side next time). Very much enjoyed the well loved furniture and interesting pieces of china. There is a convenient room for meetings which we used - still open to the main room, but gave us a space to concentrate -could easily accommodate 7 or 8 people.

They have so many special options that could meet your particular wants/needs for the day. Yesterday I got the two slider option with two pimiento cheese sliders on pretzel rolls, and it really hit the spot. As my two sides I got the berry salad, which was fresh and delicious, and the bean and corn salad, which had a little bit too much cilantro for my taste, but that's a personal thing.

Went for the first time 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped raving about it whenever the opportunity presents. Friendly attentive staff but the food, the food was amazing! It was the best brunch I have can ever remember having and I'm now hooked. The day I arrived was a Saturday 11am. Quite busy but got a lovely table to the right of the door walking in. Sun streaming in and surrounded by delph dinnerware, cups and and array of cottagey flowers in baskets and missed match tables and chairs of bye-gone days. So quaint and just bursting with character. You felt special just being there. I ordered the french toast, with caramelized (?) banana with rashers of bacon and fresh berries and pomegranate seeds scattered around the rim of the plate with a dusting of icing sugar. It looked amazing and tasted incredible. I'm so hooked on this place and Ive try so many cafes in CHCH but, this one well; this one is really something special. I'm totally sold. Take a look at their website. It shows the dish I had and it actually came out looking exactly like that but tasted simply amazing. Its personal taste I know and what one loves another might think yup so so. But I'm sold for sure and I think its worth a try to see for yourself.
