Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was amazing & food was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Driven by never stopped but so glad I did today. Big cafe with outdoor seating and craft shop inside. Great food and service. Clear that staff know many who come in. Parking out front and clean toilets. A hidden gem.

Wow, this place has nailed customer service, great coffee and tasty food. A friend and I went for a late brunch on a sunday. When we arrived I could see almost every table was full, there was a line at the counter and the kitchen staff were working in what looked like a small kitchen. The line didn't take long, the lovely lady behind the counter greeted us with a warm smile and promptly took our order. With 5 minutes our coffees had arrived. I had an almond flat white. Super impressed with how good the coffee was and how quick they came out. 5 minutes later our meals come out. They were the perfect size, very tasty and warm. I'm very impressed with this place - smooth operators. I will defiantly make the trip again to eat there.

Nice flat white. Friendly small town feel. Nice range of cage food and the date scone was great. Love the comfy leather couches.

We went for high tea, which you need to book for. Had a good assortment of cabinet food as well as menu food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Sand pit in the garden area, as well as colouring and wooden jigsaw puzzles for children. Would recommend for people with young children.

The coffee was a underground which I like and the barista was fine. The cabinet food was actually amazing! Would go back here to try other food. Loved the dappled shade in the court yard.

Nice cafe. I had the Loaded Wedges for $13, which was very filling for 1 person, and tasty too. The store is interesting to look through as well.

I come here for breakfast and I took ''The Grill'' and was pretty good, I don't like the location but this is a my personal opinion, cyclist friendly and great food.

Peter and his team work really hard to make this a warm and friendly place to get a great coffee and have breakfast or lunch. It's the hub of our community. Has a lovely garden at the side where the kids can have an ice cream and play. Also a great place to pick up gifts for birthdays...

The girl that look our order was a bit rude but the other ladies that served us were lovely. Great coffee and hot chocolate. The carrot cake and apricot/cranberry slice really lovely too. Very cute cafe with a lovely fire. A lovely gift shop too.

A spacious cafe and gift store that is well set out. Staff are friendly and drinks are nice. Guftware is lovely and hard to resist. Some of the food pricing is a wee bit steep but overall this is a nice place to come to.

Nice secluded outside setting ideal for the summer days. Good selection of prepared food or you can order off the menu. Everything is nicely presented. Staff are helpful and the coffee is great as well.

Very nice vibrant Cafe in Tai Tapu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kids meals were great value for money. Under 10 dollars got us a large mince pie chips and a very large milkshake. Would have been 5 stars but thought the sausage roll for my 4yr old was over cooked. Also it never stated chips with the kids meals so we ended up buying a side of chips we didn't need. But overall will definitely bring family back again.

Always a good coffee and pleasent helpful staff. Food is good and reasonably varied except they often do not offer many vegetarian and vegan options. They do good Eggs Benedict so well worth a visit!

great service from the ladies and awesome food - the buckwheat mushroom crepes are excellent, hubby likes the potato rosti. can't wait to try the Blue cod special. a popular spot for the Christchurch lycra attired and the grey set.

Good honest kiwi fare. Eggy breakfast is good as is the cabinet. Won't be back however as I'm not keen on the service. Hears a tip, if you want to mock someones appearance make sure they can't her you.

Pleasant shop to visit. Nice gift shop with lots to look at. The cafe is really nice with great food and friendly staff. I enjoyed my eating my tasty lunch and the ambiance was great with the log fire going. Very cosy.

I've been here afew times and the coffe and food are nice. I was just surprised that even though so many cyclists stop there, last time I went there they don't offer protein shakes or electolytes drinks. Edit: they do sell bottled electrolyte drinks, they just couldn't make me on that occasion a home made smoothie with protein and electrolytes.

Busy place on a sunny Sunday at lunch time with queues towards the door. We were only after milkshakes so got to queue by the ice cream counter and get instant service. Staff were all very friendly despite the crowds. Would definitely go again :) Lovely outdoor seating under a well pruned tree.

We appreciated The Store being open til 4.30 pm today. My elderly parents & l enjoyed good coffee and delicious slices under the beautiful old blossom tree in the courtyard

Amazing Milk Shakes and Ice Cream. I go there a lot and the service is always amazing. The staff are really friendly and you can have a good conversation with them while you wait for your food. I loved this place

My family and I have just been for breakfast today. I tried my luck at a reservation a little over a week ago and was not counting my chickens, as what I was requesting was Mothers Day breakfast, but the lady on the phone happily booked me in, highchair and all. We had french toast and eggs benedict, coffee and juice. The whole lot was gorgeous, the french toast was incredible with a sweet syrup, bacon and fruit, and my brother cleaned up his eggs, we cleaned our plates and got a side of scrambled eggs for my toddler with no hassles. Thanks for a great breakfast, we're coming back with my Nana for a high tea.

Stopped her on our way to Birdlings Flats. Stopped for a coffee. The place is obviously popular with the locals of the area. There seemed to be coffee morning meeting in progress while we were there. The place is also a shop with lots of goodies to buy.

So love the little gift shop attached to the cafe. I almost always see something in there that I want to buy, and don't even get me started on the amazing range of food available in the cafe. If your heading to Akaroa make sure you make a stop!

I like this place, the food is good and the staff are friendly. It has a feel that is more like New Zealand used to be, a bit more relaxed not so rushed.

Generally good meals. Kids always want ice cream. I'd recommend a brunch here but book ahead if it is an occasion.

A friendly place. The woodburner keeps it warm in winter and outside there is a sheltered, sunny sitting area. Parking can be a problem sometimes.
