A.This place is underrated for what it is, my coffee & my date and orange scone was beautiful. My partner had a hot chocolate and cheese scone too. Delicious. All the cabinet food looks amazing. The staff are super lovely and the atmosphere is really nice. We are excited to come back and try the menu 🥰
A.OMG!! What can I say about it, probably that this place is so underrated and deserves trillion more reviews.
Let me start with the coffee, it was great, I ordered a Cappuccino and I really enjoyed it. But wait, the jewel of my pleasure, it was The Waiting Room Waffle, oh gosh! Just look at the photo of it, doesn’t it look delicious and so tempting? Well, it was indeed amazing, so delicious, I was enjoying every piece of it.
Will I recommend this Cafe? Of course! If you are in Christchurch, you don’t want to miss it at all!.
E.The perfect spot to celebrate, we bought our two little ones to have lunch. Such a lovely little cafe. Surrounded by beautiful plants, yummy coffee and great cabinet food. Service was friendly and quick, we will be back ☕
G.Loved this place! We went on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was quite busy. The cabinet food was lovely but we went for the big breakfast and the pancakes. Both were really good.
We left already trying to work out when we could make it back.

Not too bitter. Both savoury and sweet scones a tad over baked. Staff friendly and service prompt. It's on our street so we will be back. 😊

J.This is a great cafe to hang out at. They make really good coffees and have a pay it forward system for coffees. There are lovely plants inside and the decor is really cool. I recommend the grilled holumi sandwich and the chai latte. There is outside seating and a meeting room you can book with a big screen for zoom etc. I love how the signage and menu include te reo too! Chris and the staff are lovely and they even had a young person on work experience which was great to see :)

r.Fabulous place, they run a really great thing in where someone pays forward a cup of coffee, I was lucky enough to receive 1. Great coffee, really clean place and the guy who works there is the son he's a really top guy, talked to me and took the time too. Thats good service

T.The Waiting Room Cafe was modern and chic, and a great choice to quickly stop off at between clients, whilst in the area.
Being predominantly dairy free, I prefer nut milk and the almond cappuccino didn't disappoint my taste buds! Coffee made with a standard double shot.
What sets this cafe apart is their ethics toward reducing waste. They have this scheme called, 'Make Aotearoa Disposable Cup Free', using Ideal Cups that patrons simply pay one fee of $5. Essentially this is a returnable takeaway cup.
I will be returning, thanks to the friendly, cheerful service, the excellent coffee and their environmental ethics they have invested in being a participating cafe in the 'Make Aotearoa Disposable Cup Free'.
Next time I will stop longer and sit-down to lunch 😊
