E.Ordered hot chocolate and Mocha which were both delicious. As we wanted a quick bite, we also ordered the ham and cheese toasties which were superb. Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely come back again.

T.What can I say? I'm a regular here, and not just for the breakfast, although it's one of my favorites. On Sat and Sunday til half 10 (hope that timing is correct) anything on the breakfast menu is $15. It's all good and they even accommodate me, who feels a little bit like Sally in When Harry Met Sally when I order.
If dinner is more your liking, steak night on Thursday (again, $15) is worth the trip in.
This is all part of the Bower, so I also recommend their live music when they do it on Sundays. 😉👍
M.Great for kids and let's parents enjoy a drink. Variety of seating areas and a gift shop. Very busy and a lot of kids. Good parking.

A.We went there to have breakfast but on arrival found out it does not do a breakfast menu. Which is sad as it's a place you could go to enjoy a quiet meal, coffee and a chat with a friend or partner. Would I go back yes as I believe everywhere is untitled to a second go but this time it would be for lunch or dinner.

s.Super kids friendly restaurant open from 9am. In door toy and play area for younger children with Outdoor swing and slides and rides for older children to enjoy. Good food and drink. Attentive staff, quick and easy order, fast service, no long wait on food = happy babies! Highly recommend.
K.Children s playground is amazing, food was good . Service let them down. My two friends and myself were the only people the entire time we were there. Felt like the staff could've been a bit more nicer and helpful. Instead one in particular just look bored and like we were holding them up from closing. It's was still early.

S.Service was extremely quick (within 15m of ordering), staff were friendly and helpful. Meals a good size and ice cream for my kids well presented. Enclosed play area means kids can roam free while I relax.

N.4 stars for the playground how awesome!! But a bit dissapointed as a friend of mine were standing at the counter waiting to be served while the workers were to busy talking and didn't serve us. We ended up not ordering anything. Hasn't put us off though we have heard good things about this place
M.Ordered takeaway coffee, superb staff, brilliant service, one little hiccup understanding the order but with professional ease it was all quickly sorted without any fuss whatsoever... they even gave me a little coffee card for a free coffee on my next visit - an unexpected but much appreciated token gesture. Good old fashioned service so hard to find these days.

J.A very funky spot! From the outside you may be a bit put off, but go in and have a look. You'll be surprised! Outdoor play area for the kids, cool artwork and items for sale... Oh, and they serve food too.

P.Cheerful waitress, but mediocre food and very mediocre surroundings - at CBD prices.
Food is a selection of fairly generic pub fare. This is perfectly fine if done very well, or is just cheap - but here it was neither. I was served a soggy 'meat lovers' pizza, topped with apparently nothing more generous than a sprinkling of cheap sliced sausage and Watties BBQ sauce straight out of a squeeze bottle. Tasted exactly like a supermarket pizza. Not in the same league as the La Porchetta equivalent for example, yet actually $10 more expensive. My partner had a fairly ordinary burger and chips - nothing wrong with it; about the quality you get from any local takeaway, but costing more than twice as much. Plate it was served on was nice to be fair, even if the cutlery was blunt.
If the surroundings or ambiance were special, fair enough, I would expect to pay for that - but here the surroundings simply are not special, or even particularly appealing.
Unlike the ReStart container mall, there is nothing 'Designed' about any part of this sprawling shipping container building - it is effectively a badly laid out, large, low ceiling-ed rabbit warren, with a very DIY feel to it all.
Decor is sort of a confused roadside cafe meets country cottage meets garage sale. Empty metal beer kegs line the main entrance, blanket draped over bric-a-brac leaning against the counter... 'Quirky', but not in a good way.
Perhaps there is a heroic story of recovery from the earthquakes behind it all, and that is all good; full marks for trying... but it seems like the owners were also trying to be all things to all people (pokie machines, pub, cafe, art& craft shop, children's play area etc); doing it all themselves, on the cheap, and to be blunt, somewhat badly.
Again, no problem if the prices and marketing reflected what is actually provided - but this place is priced and marketed online as something quite beyond what it really turned out to be.
I have no idea how 'genuine' the other reviews are on here, nor how it got an apparent 4.5 star rating (sympathy?), but at this price point there are a lot of much better options out there competing for our money, and I came away feeling a bit ripped off if I am honest. Won't be back.

L.Went to urban corner cafe for a birthday gathering, service was good, food was good aswell. What shocked me was the $15 fee for cakage. I maybe a bit thick but in my time working in hospitality never was I told to charge cakage for patrons bringing in a birthday cake. Be really interested to know what type and flavours of cake this cafe has. Maybe put it in your advertising so it's not a shock for people when they ask for plates.
So unfortunately my review went from 5 stars to 1. However I think 1 star is really terrible so I gave 3 stars.
