Reviews of Croque-O-Dile In The Garden
D.
Nice cafe to sit down and the food is good. You can feed the ducks and pigeons at the pond. Take a quick round the park tide on the train

I visited there with my family. They were very friendly and nice. Also, coffee was amazing. I love to drink again.
But chicken burger was disappointed to my husband. They may use frozen chicken patties although it was $16.5. However l am happy with diablo. It was $13.5 and it is a reasonable price.
D.
Ordered the eggs bene with bacon and mushroom. It was delicious and the hollandaise was some of the best I've ever tasted. Excellent service as well.

The food is good for the price, and it has a great location and a good view. But I would stay away from the coffee.
My wife and I had a great day out at the gardens and had an overall nice time at the Croque-O-Dile Cafe. It had a great view of the gardens and a good view of the duck pond and the Leith.
I had some great wedges and my wife loved her hot chocolate and slice. However the coffee machine temperature was clearly set to high and the coffee grind was too fine. This resulted in over extracted, burnt, very bitter tasting coffee without any of the smoothness and subtle fruity or fudgy notes that you would normally get from a well made coffee.
Overall I would recommend this cafe, but stick to the hot chocolates if you go there.

I had the chips and hot dogs and they were amazing, perfectly cooked and tasted so good. I would definitely recommend

Place is nice with a nice view, the burguer was good too, but the fries was awful and the tomato sauce looks cheap and low quality, I asked for other sauce and they didn't seem too keen to give me anything else.

The chap behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. A good range of food and drink with great views.
Was closing a little early for us but it was a Sunday afternoon. Go early and have a great time.

Fast and very friendly service.

Lovely to have lunch again at the cafe and a walk around the gardens

The staff were really happy, helpful and chipper. The food was pretty good, esp the counter food. Lots of crepe options, but no fresh berries.
I would have rated 5 but the coffee wasn't great / seemed over extracted or had another problem making it bitter. Might have just be an off day for the barista.
A.
Great situation inside the gardens, with lovely views. The cafe is well organised and the staff are very friendly.
The food is not really anything special (ciabata was a little over-toasted) and despite the menus shown on Google Maps, there are no Crocs on the menu! :-)
R.
Very friendly and inviting staff who made my colleagues and I feel welcome and valued as people and not just another dollar =) Outstanding
R.
Friendly staff and a decent coffee. Some toys for the kids to play with and a variety of different food. Nice and warm on a cold day with a nice view of the gardens/duck pond. Will definitely be back.

Marvelous place to eat. Great coffee and the children had awesome milkshakes. The manager was really friendly and the place spotless. A vast improvement

I love going to the cafe in the Botanic gardens. Set in such a peaceful place one cannot but enjoy it. The owner and staff are friendly and very willing to oblige customers. I adore the sparrows (being a bird lover) and wish people would relax and appreciate the surroundings. So much better than the busyness of city life. I always try to go there soon after opening, as lunch time is very popular. Lets give more positive feedback.
J.

Love sitting at the gardens for a snack and coffee, beautiful location.
K.
Good variety of drinks, excellent coffee and nice selection of food, yummiest slices. Had the most fantastic salmon quiche today! 10/10!
S.
Nice Friand, nice slices and nice long black. However the teapot wasn't full and even then the tea was weak; suggest you consider another brand of teabags and you fill up the teapot.
W.
Just the basics, but does them well.
M.

We are the cafe inside the first botanic garden in NZ. Make sure try our homemade products as we bake most of our products on site.

It is located in the heart of the beautiful Botanic Gardens of Dunedin. There is a pond where children can feed the ducks and a playground nearby.
L.
Very casual but very tasty food, from a snack to more substantial. The lemon guava slice was fabulous.
