This place is so unique and pretty. Nice outside setting. Toilet is quite clean and packed with plenty of towels. Staff is kind and friendly. Flat white is good. Highly recommended for short break.

After the Glenorchy walk i have come here for breakfast and made a friend along too. I loved Glenorchy the minute i drove in and walked along the lake. What a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The cafe had such a homey feel to it. It just had "Welcome Home" all over.

Would highly recommend. What a setting for a cafe with all the surrounding amazing scenery. Excellent coffee, cabinet food and lovely staff passionate about what they do!

Missus recommended this amazing cafe and we had the most amazing carrot cake which is quite different from any other carrot cake we ever had...well baked to the perfectness must admit. We tried the savoury muffin too and my goodness am really intrigued with it because that is something very new to me as it is a warm muffin and even though it looks simple but adding with the yogurt, it blew my mind away ! Simple muffin but yet impressive. The ambience is cosy and comfortable. Besides dessert and coffee, it is actually like a minimart when u can grab souvenirs of the places, reference books for guideline, from homemade marmalade to soaps... It is actually a marvellous place to explore. The hospitality is indeed friendly and nice. Scenery is amazing and we totally fell in love with the place! Would defo be coming back in the future !

Originally didn’t plan to visit but as the Glenorchy Cafe was closed on Wednesdays we popped in here for brunch and I absolutely loved it, 100%. Bookworms will adore the book display here. It’s very homely, warm and inviting. The staff were very friendly too and this place doubles as an information centre for visitors. Amazing! I had the banana cake and hot chocolate. The banana cake was baked with desiccated coconut and served with your choice of cream or yogurt (I got yogurt). It was served warm and I loved the coconut taste, just thought it could be more banana-y. Hot chocolate was great and they give a little chocolate cube with it. My friend got the chai latte which also came with the chocolate cube. Yum! The vibe was relaxing, quaint, with clean outdoor seating and even an ice cream cart outside. It’s a 2 min walk to the lakeside with plenty of parking available around. I would come back again!

The cafe was a nice stop in Glenorchy. It was set up nicely and coffee was also fresh. The barista was really friendly as well. What won me over was the cleanliness of the bathroom with neatly folded hand towels instead of paper towels. Good to see local business doing so much for the environment.

A really sweet, cozy and friendly cafe with great ice cream am from Patagonia. The service is so friendly and helpful. There is a little gift shop as well, so you could take a look around while waiting for your coffee. We love the spacious outdoor seating area!

Friendly staff, good coffee and yummy food 🤩

A really great little cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. You can also buy small gifts and pieces of art here. We had the carrot cake and a smoothie and they were both delicious and came out really quickly. You can get scoops of icecream from a little booth outside of the cafe. It's a two minute walk to the water and there are plenty of trees around to sit under.

Best carrot cake I have ever eaten! The coffee here is also strong which I enjoy. Service was also impeccable and friendly!

Limited choice on a Monday with things being so quiet. So good to see the local businesses taking turns for days off. Never been to this little gem before. Great staff, coffee and tostie. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our way to Paradise and the lady working there was absolutely amazing. So hospitable and helpful, she even drew us a map of where to find the LotR filming locations within the Paradise Trust Estate. The food and coffee were great and very reasonably priced. Definitely a friendly, warm and knowledgeable place worthy of your time of you're in the area.

Can’t miss a coffee anymore from here when I visit Glenorchy, such is the place so is the staff..

Very kind personell and the best egg - bacon croissant and carrot cake far and wide. Ideal spot to stop at before going wandering in nearby nature. I actually stopped before and on my return way too...could not resist that croissant :)

Really a fantastic place! The coffees were really good and the brownie was more than fantastic!!! And really big as well! It is also a very cute shop with nice books etc. Only a couple seats inside but a big terrace. It is the closest cafe to the like and the best one we found in town

Fantastic coffee and a small family owned local business whom actually care about the awesome place they live in. Location right on the water is perfect and beds are available for travelers. A beautiful place to visit and now a great p lace to holiday since over seas travel is on hold. Breathtaking spot near some awesome famous tracks Also recommend heading to kinloch lodge, for some outdoor activities.

Glenorchy Trading Post is the place to stop when you’re around the little town..!!! Always amazing family style and amazing service, awesome carrot cake and coffee!! + nice ice cream for the summer days!!! Owners and staff know their area really well and will offer a variety of local crafted/organic products as well as stories!!!

Beautiful ambience. We only spent a short 1 day and one night in Glenorchy. The first attempt to go into this shop was unsuccessful because it closes at around (4:00 pm). The second day I went first thing in the morning and found this charming shop chuckful of goodies. I have been looking for the usual guide and didn't find it anywhere but in this shop. I didn't need anything and had breakfast so they didn't get business from me. I will next time! It is relaxed and the staff wasn't pushy. I felt welcome and comfortable. Please give them your business if you are in Glenorchy. Love, love, love 👍👍👍

My sister and I had coffee and cheese & tomato toasties. It was honestly the best toasties we’ve ever had! And the bread was homemade! Very cute cafe in Glenorchy, and very friendly staff.

Tuna melt and bacon croissant were simple but delicious. Service really hospitable and friendly. We’ll be back when we’re out here again
