L.I would like to give more than 5 stars for this delightful place. A very nice airy and comfortable venue with absolutely delicious food. The Halloumi salad was amazing as was the vegan burger. A must visit for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. It would be well worth a day trip from Wellington just to eat here. The service was so lovely and the wait staff were brilliant.
A.The coffee is awesome here, the Cafe is clean and really well presented and the staff are friendly. Covid protocols are also strictly observed but they manage it well so it isn't an inconvenience.
Unfortunately I can't give them a higher rating (I'd like to) because the service is SO slow. Like ... unimaginably slow 🐌, observed across 6-7 visits.
I will amend this review in the future if the pace picks up a bit 🤣.

N.Love this place. Was visiting Featherston, but decided to travel further to come here based on the reviews. It didn’t disappoint! Great location and setup. The menu has just right, plenty of choice for everyone without being overwhelming. The food came out promptly and was absolutely delicious. We had the garbage fries, halloumi salad and nachos with beans. This is a great cafe with a fantastic selection of tasty plant based meals as well as meat dishes.
B.Awesome cafe! Very helpful, friendly staff. Had the most amazing smoothy, breakfast bowl. A mix of crunchy and smooth blends of flavours. A generous portion. My friend had the mexican chicken tacos, which had great tastes and was well-presented. It was lovely to sit in the cool outdoor space in the extreme heat. Even though we and others were there until after 3pm, the staff were still polite and friendly while cleaning up around us. We never felt as if we were in the way. A great go-to in Greytown.🏆🏆🏆
E.Delicious food, has a whole separate plant based menu. I got the plant based French toast and it was insanely good. Nice and big space, great atmosphere.
C.Where do I start? With the friendly and efficient waiting staff? Or maybe the delicious food (try the chicken licken burger or the sausage roll from the cabinet!)? How about the great shaded outdoor dining area or the light and airy restaurant? I'm sorry I can't decide. But we'll done people- you've nailed it!
D.We were greeted at the door by staff saying there was a bit of a wait as they were short staffed, however our breakfast of bacon and eggs and hash browns and Dr Feel Good smoothie and coffees came out really fast. It was delicious and we would definitely go back again. Tables well spaced and not too many people on a Wednesday morning around 9 30am.
P.Professor McFussy and I along with two others found this cafe when stopped for a comfort stop in Greytown. Greeted by staff with a sense of humor at the door were protocols were discussed. We were seated and attended to almost immediately. Coffee came quickly along with muffins. A short wait for item that required heating and the table fell silent except for appreciative noises until the caffeine kicked in. Excellent service and good food. A pleasant interlude on our journey. Only one minor complaint. The cafe was a bit noisy due I think to its construction. I could barely hear the music playing over the sound system.
m.I thought the flavoured batter on snapper fish overpowered the delicate fish experience. Disappointed. Portions too big really. Fellow diner's choice excellent and worth the price.
S.Service and food were both pretty average today. Had to find our own menus, left waiting for ages to take our order, weren't offered water and when we asked for some had to wait about 10 mins to get it, then waitress delivering our food didn't know what was on the plates - and all of this while the place was not at all busy (less than half full). Shame because we travelled to Greytown specially to go to The Offering, and when we've been here previously it's been amazing for both food and service, so today was disappointing.

A.Most impressed with the video posted on their FB page regarding the owners response to customers not adhering to the Covid restrictions and how he was slamming public for how rude they had treated his staff. Hardworking hospitality workers don't deserve this. Bevan (the owner) was most helpful when we messaged ahead for our group booking last weekend. We just needed to ensure all was okay and everything was confirmed straight away. It was a great place for a group lunch, with great menu and beverage options. With Covid Level 2 restrictions in place we had to wait a little longer but worth the wait. Highly recommend.

B.After scanning in and sanitizing, our order was quickly taken at our outside table, and the eftpos machine was brought out for payment to. Our delicious coffees were provided shortly after. We felt welcome with our 2 corgis and there was a water bowl provided for our doggo companions. Well worth the visit.

J.Arrived well after lunch with some friends on Labor Day ansld was gutted cos their kitchen had just closed, but the manager caught us as we were leaving and said he'd serve us.
They have an extensive plant based menu which had me spoiled for choice. I chose this vegan hotdog on a pretzel bun with hummus and popcorn which was an experience.
I want to go back and try their other vegan options cos they all look so good.

R.15 min wait for cabinet food to be heated wasn't the quick option I'd hoped for. There were about 30 people seated, it did not look packed. The food was all to a high standard. Venue somewhat lacking in character, regimented.

C.Vegans, look no further than The Offering for a good meal in South Wairarapa. They have a great range of actual Vegan food, not the usual "vegan option available" (which we all know means take off the cheese and charge more!) that other places may offer. Had the Vegan breakfast stack, wish I had snapped a photo because it looked amazing, but more importantly it was delicious and filling. We have visited the offering on a number of occasions and each time the food has been consistently top notch. Fast service, great coffee, and a nice space inside and out.

e.Great cafe with consistently good food and a great menu with plentiful variety. It would be really hard not to be able to find something that appealed on this menu. There is also a full seperate plant based menu for those wanting this. Despite the variety everyrhing is really tasty and cooked to its cuisine. I would say they have the best nachos I have ever had at a cafe and I love the fact that their eggs benidict is true to form and comes on English muffins which are even house made.
H.Came in during Level 2 and I've been very impressed with how The Offering team have handled it. We waited to be seated as they have a full time concierge. He was very welcoming and friendly.
The lunch food we ordered was delicious and all 3 of us left feeling happy and full.
The place is nice, tidy and warm.

L.My go-to Greytown cafe, because they have a vegetarian/vegan menu as extensive as their non-veg menu. Plus a huge range of delicious ready-made counter food. My husband enjoyed his traditional fish and chips as much as I did my vegan version, but I think the vegan herbed mayo was much nicer than the traditional. Great service, nice spacious cafe.

G.I'm all about the atmosphere in a cafe. The high roof, open space and welcoming atmosphere makes a trip to this cafe seem both effortless and necessary. Parking maybe the only problem.

D.Good coffee, though the food was a little disappointing for the price. The worst part was how long we had to wait for our food - it was a fairly busy Sunday morning, but clearly their procedures could do with some work since the food was coming out so slowly that we had to wait for over an hour just for some eggs and waffles. When the food came out, some of the eggs were overdone and the waffles were slightly burnt on one side. Maybe if they had more than one guy working the kitchen they might be able to put food out a little faster and with a little more consistency.
However, the manager was very receptive to feedback, accepted that they were having some teething issues with the food service, and even offered us a couple of free coffees to go by means of apology. Definitely appreciate that gesture.

I.A huge barn like building we stopped at for a coffee and scone. Scones sold out and coffee warm even though we'd asked for extra hot. Cheeky sparrows pecking crumbs from the floor and exiting when new customers opened the door.
K.My husband and I use The Offering a lot for business and visits with friends. The food and staff are fantastic and unchanging in their high standards. The space between tables is generous and there's a nice area for children to play in.
P.The coffees and cakes were excellent, will try to visit again In future. It's close to where the rail bus stop is located on being dropped into town and the cake range is excellent. It was hard not to buy lots just to try but both the cake and coffee were excellent. They were quite busy but the service was excellent. Will return on another holiday and try more of their great options!

K.Called in on a Friday night for a quick drink and ended up having dinner. Between us we had the Funky Dog, the Garbage Fries, and the Ribs. All were sensational - the pretzel buns are amazing. Was so good we couldn’t help but go for the cheesecake - which was as good as any I’ve had.
Service was perfect, atmosphere was “smart-casual” (if there is such an atmosphere...) so bang on.
We drank and ate all we could, and couldn’t believe the value - we would def have paid more.

Little cake and sandwiches are avaliable, very Cafe like food. Also Mac and cheese but I went with a caramel slice.
My mother went with the banana mango loaf which she found very dry. Tea was fine. My sister and I went with cookies and cream milkshakes which let me tell you, are HUGE. Very tasty milkshakes but wish they offered size options as we are very stuffed. I went with a caramel slice which was alright and my sister with an afghan biscuit which was also alright. Overall,

The food offerings include quick cabinet offerings plus more substantial menu options. The range of specialty hot dogs (using sausages from the good butcher next door) are worth a try. M.After a very busy week of shifting to the Wairarapa, we dropped into the Offering for some coffee and food. After ordering, I realized that I had lost my EFTPOS, my husband's wallet was also misplaced as our lives were scattered and we were exhausted. The nice young lady told me to not worry, to enjoy our breakfast and settle up at some future time when we were sorted. Luckily I found some cash in my purse, but I will never forget her kindness. The food was terrific as well.
