Discovered by accident when I took my car for the annual wof just in front. Awesome flat latte, smooth and tasty, from well selected grains. Owners are there to make sure you have a great experience. It is a real gem, hidden among panebeaters, auto shops and the train tracks. Worth every minute spent there.

Brilliant coffee. The beans have a unique sweet/spicy flavour and it's a little different compared to the usual darker/heavier roasts in Hamilton. Didn't try any of the food but it looked fantastic. Location is great as well - a bit off the busy streets and the interiors are really warm and welcoming. Staff is really helpful and energetic, they're doing a fantastic job. Lovely to see that on a Monday morning. One of the best cafes in Hamilton, serves as a perfect getaway of sorts.

A gem hidden in the mostly forgotten Frankton light industrial area. The eclectic decor is sympathetic to the 1930's history of the building with dining spaces both inside and outside. The staff are exceptional and the offerings easily worthy of much pricier cafes. I really could not fault the experience.

Well presented Cabinet; unique & colourful on both sweet & savoury sides. Visibly clean & tidy dining space & counter; smelt lovely. Coffee was delicious & as I would expect a triple shot caramel latte should be. Staff were welcoming & courteous, professional but also warm & friendly whist multi tasking. Scone was perfect. 10/10 for this ex Hospitality all rounder girl 👌✅

Loved it. I had a Lemon, Honey & Ginger Toddy that was really gingery. When asked for a bit more honey, they complied with a spoonful of the most delicious local honey from Dinsdale. The breakfast sandwich was stuffed full of all sorts of yummy stuff. I'll definately be back.

Staff are super friendly, food is really good quality and tastey, and the coffee is always consistent. I'm usually a black coffee person, however the milk they use makes for such a nice milky, creamy coffee. Definitely recommend this hidden gem

On top of great coffee and fantastic food, you are going to find a lot of soul and love in this place. The service here is fantastic and the people who run this place are genuine and wonderful. Lost Boys is nestled beside the Mill Street bridge in Frankton, but it is an excellent escape which takes you away from the crowds downtown and from the noise of industry. It is the perfect place to bring a client for a lunch, that girl you are sweet on for a coffee, or just to have a break somewhere peaceful. Try the cold lattes, you wont be disappointed!

The service is actually very good. But if the door can shut close automatically, it will benefit to the customers sitting around the round table and the food order counter during the cold weather.

Rachel and James are awesome and the place oozes good juju. The food is experimental and exceeds expectations every time. To drink I had the Spiced Chai Latte infused with pumpkin and to eat an amazing banana/pumpkin loaf with yoghurt and peanut butter. The Lost Boys is one of our favourite local spots when we are in Hamilton and the chef clearly makes the food with love. See you next time.

AWESOME food and GREAT service. Cosy to the point of almost unbearable. Certainly not what you'd expect based on the location or appearance. You really should try this place if you haven't already. The food is some of the tastiest I've had and the coffee is possibly the best in the Waikato. Would be 5 stars if there was just a fraction more space to sit and relax.

I took my Nana this afternoon for a trip down memory lane, she enjoyed telling me all about the old servo and the Tornado and how shes the same age as the gorgeously revamped old building. The owner operators have such a passion for food and customer service it truly made our afternoon. The Cafe' is perfectly situated for warming your bones in the mid winter sun, while enjoying the velvety coffee and one of the delicious offerings from the cabinet. I'm so excited to see some new life and independent business coming to Frankton YAY!

What a great place!! This morning I arrived from Wellington for work and wanted a coffee stop somewhere between Hamilton airport and Huntly. On Googling, this has the most intriguing name and nicest-looking photos of the interior. I love vintage so was not disappointed by the cute old (but warm!) building. The best part was the they had a gluten free, dairy free and vegan cabinet with loads of options!! I discovered that by accident and literally said “Hallelujah!” - as I’d brought nuts up with me as snacks because I did not expect to find suitable food for me anywhere. I had a delicious slice of coconut-banana bread with coconut yoghurt and peanut butter to spread on it. Add a perfectly smooth black coffee, and the whole experience was YUMMM! Definitely going back when I’m next in Hamilton!

Quite the little hideaway!!! Hustle and bustle above you on the bridge tucked away in Frankton, which surprisingly you dont hear or really notice. Coffee is very personal and delicious.

Tucked away under an overpass in Frankton Hamilton an old gas station - makes u think of old glass gas pumps n cars of the fifty's n sixty's is a slice of new age cafe heaven. From the greetings as u open the door to the run down of the cabinet food to the days specials. As u soak up the atmosphere take a seat your meals r brought to u in no time. The Lost Boys Cafe is a welcome oasis in the Frankton car yards. Welcome because on a wet autumn day it was cosy, the staff friendly, and the food tasty. The coffee is the best west of the river, and they have the famous Rangariri pies. I'll be back!
