A.Stopped in for a coffee and ended up having lunch. Coffee was good.
Lunch was the Station Burger, a good choice. Fresh homemade beef patty and homemade chips made for a tasty lunch. Only suggestion would be to put some tomato in the burger, only because I love tomato on burgers, but still a good burger without.
A.Very delicious food at a decent price, I really love the homemade fries.. the beef patty in the burger was delicious all I can suggest is add a tomato to the burger as well... Otherwise highly recommend and nice staff also
J.Eggs Benedict not that great - yolks hard, spinach not wilted and bagels just don't work, they were tough and cold. Suspect that the hotcakes were frozen not freshly made, had to pay $2.50 extra for the bacon. Pattie in the burger was also cold. However, the Cookies and Cream Cheesecake was very nice. Ordered 3 meals and 3 milkshakes, 2 came out together and had to wait ages for the 3rd to come - not very good service. Cost $72.00 - not worth it.

Standard fare and drinks available. Visited around 15:00 on a week day and kitchen was closed, only drinks and cabinet foods available. We were only after drinks so not a problem for us.
Chocolate cap was delicious and beautifully poured. Partner enjoyed his banana milkshake.
Clean toilets, no wifi, and plenty of seating; there are a couple of tables inside and several outside under an awning so would be nice even in the rain.
No steps so wheelchair and pram accessible.
J.The food looks good but not soo delicious. The burger Patti was bit salty . It was better when I had something in few months back .
H.A cute former railway station which has been turned in to a cafe serving the usual suspects.
We only ordered a couple of snacks so csnt comment on the food too much but what we did get was tasty and good value. Their iced coffee was pretty perfect.
The cafe has a slightly weird make up on the inside, if seems a former railway station doesn't make for a simple cafe conversion but once you find your way to the counter and order there is adequate indoor seating and a tonne of space on the platform.
If you're lucky you may even get to see a train come and go as we did.
D.Good coffee and cake. Good cabinet and cold drink selection. Nice spot to stop on a sunny day. Friendly cafe staff and friendly people running the railway and railway shop.

J.Exceptional food at a quiet trendy cafe in a quite old vintage sort of railway station. Most of the places to sit are outdoors and its quite nice to sit and watch the train go by or stop alongside. The lamb burgers are very tasty and the chips were better than expected.

Real home made holindaise sauce that was packed full of bite & flavour. Delicious ciabatta toast under 2 perfectly poached eggs. Ample bacon and greens. Perfection on a plate. Very satisfying and enjoyable. Will definitely get again. 👍

R.Expensive and very slow service, sure its a charity thing but $5.50 for a muffin is getting up there plus $40 for 2 on the train trip all adds up. The train stops for a very long time before returning, 50% of the time was stopped by a long wooden bridge.
B.Lovely place to stop for a bite. The quiche was fantastic and the cheese scone light and fluffy. Service was so very friendly and nice. Don't miss out on the little shop next door. Full of great train gifts. See you again.

L.This is a cute little cafe, tucked off the main street it's easy to overlook, but has such character with great coffee and food. Sitting inside the old train station it has some old photos of Kawakawa on the walls. Watch the trains leave or come in.
My family and I always stop in here for a coffee and cake when we do the Opua to Kawakawa bike trail.
