F.How cool was this, we arrived at Murrayfield, a large group and not only had they prepared their usual menu but included a special big breakfast option just for us. They sold a fair few of these. Friendly service from great staff. Thanks for having us again. Most appreciated. R.A.C.
J.It was a cold night and we were the only booking. It was a very Dark night and you certainly need your wits about you driving there. Our friend got slightly lost. No street lights. It was well worth it as the Restaurant has been jazzed up and was warm and homely. The staff were really friendly and the Lady Chef was exceptionally talented with her cooking. I had roast Beef with Yorkshire puddings Yum!! Desserts are all delicious and hand made.
I would love to go again. Perfect for a group booking or a Wedding. One table seats 24.

S.Due to covid, things have changed. Food is served on paper plates and there is no inside seating. Hubby and I were married here 11 years ago so decided to visit the place for our anniversary. It definitely doesn't have the same feel anymore. We had cheesecake which was nice but took ages to come out when there was only a few people there.
S.We were looking forward to the museum after going all the way from Napier, but it was closed. As for the petting Zoo, I spotted a pig, a miniature horse and two Alpacas. The food was nice, and the actual restaurant was lovely - large and airy but not cold. The staff were efficient and friendly.

C.This has always been a favourite place to stop off between Napier and Wellington (or other locations south of Levin). It is located in park-like grounds well off the road and there is plenty of space. Food portions are good, the staff are great and will definitely keep going back. I understand the ownership has changed hands recently but the new owners are doing a fine job from what I could see.

A.I had a lovely lunch here today . Great service and nice atmosphere You can look out the window and see the pet lambs and pigs which the children love . Murrayfield has a museum also. The food is highly recommended. I have been here many times throughout the years and is a most pleasant place to visit.

D.Yeah pretty good. The staff were friendly when we visited. Had the big breakfast (equivalent), it was good. You can feed the animals outside, they have animal feed inside you can buy (nice and cheap). Overall very nice place to stop in and take a break.
A.The food was great. Decent portions and fast to arrive. No menus at the tables which makes ordering at the counter under Covid conditions feel weird. The venue is very tired and no petting zoo as promised. Could do with a spruce up to bring it back to what I imagine was its former glory

C.Service was good but as they were busy my husband got his meal and I waited 10min for mine plus they had wooden knives&forks and the forks were useless couldn't pick up salad as they were not long enough in the prong department but food was good

S.We went on Sunday (8th August) for brunch - venue was very cold inside. Hot chocolates were at best luke-warm, we got given another one each, but they were still luke-warm. The coffee was hot and tasty. The bacon that came with the cornfritters was cold. The waffles were very generous in size and very tasty.
K.Visited for lunch table of 6 people. Staff were very friendly and polite. Took a long time for meals to arrive - first two meals that arrived were finished before last meals arrived at the table - but we could not fault the food it was amazing.

L.Murrayfield Museum & Cafe is a hidden Kiwi gem!
The great cuisine served in a most peaceful, green, and beautiful location which soothes a tired traveller's frazzled soul. I found the staff to be highly itelligent, sympathetic, engaging human beings, and was not expecting to have such interesting coversations with strangers. There are some exotic horses nearby if you have children who love animals. I will be stopping here each time I travel, for sure. - Laila Lili
A.Was visiting friend in Levin up from Wellington for day. Hadn't been to Murrayfield in many year years. We went for lunch both enjoyed our meal. Staff were great as was service. Will be back next time I'm up in Levin.

The setting was perfect, the food delicious and very generous @ $31.00 per head for a sumptuous buffett. The apple shortcake with freshly whipped cream and ice cream was a huge hit with everyone.
Murryfields has become a family favourite for many of us.

J.Food is fine, but nothing special. The prices point however is exceptionally high for really generic and uninteresting food. The big breakfast was served with sliced supermarket bread, and instead of butter it was served with "Dairy blend spread" in single use plastic sachets.
The coffee had a good flavour, however our flat whites came with a large amount of foam more like a Latte.
The atmosphere is fun and family friendly with lots of cute farm animals on site that you can pet. Definitely a highlight - and suitable for those travelling with kids who need a break from the road.
R.Hospitable ( travelling, we arrived rather late in the lunch slot but were served graciously and unhurriedly) and delicious meals, slightly unusual dishes with nice twists. (My essentially-eggs-benedict was served on a kitchen-made potato rosti)
M.We called into Murraysfield for lunch on our way back from Palmerston North to Paraparaumu. We had a delicious lunch, great price and very friendly and quick service, great to see the animals outside in a lovely farm like setting. Definitely a place to visit.

P.We went here for brunch, and man am I glad I didn't have anything to eat before going! The servings were generous to say the least, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I don't know how, but we also managed to squeeze in some dessert afterwards. It was so nice to have the friendly animals wandering round while we were eating, and made for a good time having a walk around the place afterwards. I'd easily recommend it and will definitely be going back again :)
G.Always enjoy coming to Murrayfield's. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly and efficient. The food range is great and not too expensive. One of the Llamas has a bit of an attitude though but we won't hold that against him 😂

E.We occasionally call in for a coffee or Sunday lunch. Nice in the summer with the outdoor seating area. A good place for a wedding as the largest part of cafe ceiling and walls is draped in white for that purpose. Food is nice.

L.A reunion of many of the 1973 Foundation pupils & teachers from Waiopehu College was held at Murrayfield on June 1st 2019 (Queens Birthday weekend).
Adelle was superb in helping us plan our menu, with some having dietary requirements to cater for. She & her team were the perfect hosts on the evening, the meal outstanding!
On what was a cold, wet night, we all felt the warm welcome in this beautiful venue.
As many commented to the organisers, it couldn't be faulted.
