R.Nice foods, wonderful environment for family. Mini golf just beside the cafe so you can have a tea when your kid is playing.
S.Reallyy delicious french toast!! Comes with bacon, maple syrup & banana (which wasn't cut in half so not mushy👍🏻) They also have well accessible toilets & is situated right next to mini golf, a mini train, a plant store & a maze. Didn't have to wait long for food^^
M.I went here for lunch over the Labour weekend and the whole experience was brilliant. The outdoor seating by the lake is stunning and the perfect place for a relaxing lunch. The waiting staff are friendly, professional and add to the whole experience. The food was lovely and I have zero complaints. This is a wonderful cafe and intend to return!

S.Great service and great food. One big problem though...It's supposed to be a family orientated setting - mini golf, trains and the Easter hunt they had there at the weekend, highchairs inside the Café yet NO change tables in the bathrooms! Seriously, this is 2021! My friend had to change her baby on the floor in the toilet. I also took my daughter there 3 years ago when she was little and had the same issue with having to change her on the toilet floor. So nothing changed.

A.Topiary Cafe fabulously catered for our family lunch of 30 celebrating our mum/grandma/and great grandma's 85th birthday! The facility was brilliant for our range of ages. The children had such fun outside. Topiary allowed us to bring our own cake for a small fee, and were very considerate in the serving of it. The menu suited everyone and was delicious! The staff were busy but attentive, well done! The only thing that would have been nice was if the 85 year old guest of honour was not served last. However, she did not complain! Thanks Topiary!
N.Breakfast all day is always a winner. Cabinet food available too. Very popular so pays to reserve and can mean it takes a while to be served. Gorgeous outdoors area, and added bonus of garden shop to browse through. Because restaurant is so busy staff appear a bit under pressure but overall acceptable service.

S.Awesome place to take the kids and hangout for a day, if you have that long or even an hour or so if you have it. Good coffee, awesome, well priced food, good service in great surroundings. Miniature train rides for kids of all ages, cool mini golf course and a great garden centre and shop filled with some cool little trinkets and treasures. Really impressed with the price and quality of their cut flowers....npretty sure they'd get any guy out of the dogbox at prices you can justify.
P.Great venue, coffee and lemon cheesecake! Only issue is that they make you walk around through the flower shop but still pretty cool!
L.The food is pretty good but service is a bit slow even when not full. They missed out on 5 coffees as we gave up waiting to order. Having been there quite a few times they are well overdue for some changes to the menu
C.I absolutely love this place. An amazing selection of food, both from the cabinet and the menu. There is a lot of seating, outside and inside. The view is great as well! This is mainly because it's tucked away from the street front. Pays to ring ahead and book and table as this place is very popular over lunch time.
V.Lovely outlook from cafe onto garden. Food in cabinet is nice and both menus have a variety of very nice food. A must to try in Mosgiel.
A.Great location and food - the eggs were just poached in water that had a bit too much vinegar in it, but apart from that it was yum!
R.An excellent little cafe. The food, service, and drinks are great, as well as the service, but the really great thing about this café is the view/location- right in the middle of Wal's Plant land. It's perfect for after a round of mini-golf and looks over an almost impossibly blue little pond and very well-kept gardens, including a mini-golf course. It's also very sheltered- even if the weather is not great in Dunedin you can count that it will be quite mild at Wal's.
Yes, it is a little out of the way but completely worth it. Would highly recommend as a great family activity!
