Super busy but in a good way. Happy staff and huge selection of foods. Quick too. However there's NO pay-wave so remember to take some sort of card or cash.

One of the best cafes in the BOP. Extremely busy but effectively and efficiently run, large lay out plenty of room indoors and outdoors though busy things seem to move well, easily a supper menu, but has a great fresh cabinet section....hence the popularity, staff making every effort to clean down tables and chairs! between customers...👍 2 negatives, toilet's could be cleaner, they need a paint..staff attire, shorts are a ?? and far to short....

Food was good - a good selection on the menu and in the cabinet. Coffee was great - even have a nitro cold brew, which was better than Starbucks’. I had the keto stack - very tasty, satisfying and filling. My brunch date had the mince on sourdough, and was surprised to find peas in the mince, which was not ideal due to personal preference (not putting that against the cafe). The service was ok.

This is the 2nd time i have eaten here and i was far from disappointed..... i had the eggs bene with salmon and it was magnificent!! The beetroot puree was amazing, perfectly cooked salmon and big hash browns, poached eggs topped off with that beautiful hollandaise sauce..... i am so comfortably full everything was cooked to perfection, good meal size and the staff here are so helpful an lovely. 5 stars is not enough for my experience, thank you to the team amd chef here for a wonderful meal and service!!!

Brekky with my daughter, and it was delicious. I had the kids portion and was satisfied. The choices are healthy and varied with an impressive full cabinet of options. We enjoyed studying the plants inside. (Please give them a good drink of water!)

Mixture is one of my favourite eateries for brunch in the Mount and Tauranga. They have a great menu and absolutely huge cabinet that also offer vegetarian and vegan options. Food is well presented with generous portions. I took my mum here for her first ever Eggs Bene and she was blown away (and hasn't had one that compared since!). I love Kōkako beans but the coffee here can be a little hit or miss. I love that they offer vouchers and have bought several as gifts.

Good place for a brunch near Mt maunganui, I loved their twisted Frenchy, and another friend liked the carrot cake a lot. It's another 5 min drive to the beach so it's a really convenient location.

Vegan review 🌱 Came in on a sunday morning. Though the place was quite busy, we were seated straight away I wanted to order laksa from the menu, but they have already run out by the time, so i opted for Picking Mushrooms. They were cooked in coconut cream and were quite delightful. It's worth noting that the portions were quite big for both myself and my friend who ordered the omelette I would recommend the mushroom dish if you want a savoury breakfast, as they have sweeter options on the menu for vegans as well. The food cabinet was very big with a lot of good-looking options, including vegan stack and sausage roll. The sausage roll was a bit sweet for my taste, seemed to be made out of lentils/veggies The drinks selection was quite good to see with some creative smoothies on it Would recommend for Sunday morning brunch 👍

Large selection of cabinetry food, all of it looked amazing. I had the meso salmon eggs benedict. Food was delicious and came out in reasonable time considering it was busy. Would definitely go again.

This is a very attractive cafe and a nice place to eat if you can get a seat (it's pretty busy in here). The cabinet food looked amazing. Unfortunately we split the pulled beef and blue cheese burger on a blue roll. The pulled beef was very tasty, but the roll didn't have enough density and quickly disintegrated under the weight and moistness of the eat and cheese, making an unappetizing mess. That said, we'd love to come back and try some of their other options as they look terrific.

Superb coffee! Smooth, strong and full of flavour. Made with some amazing latte art! Best cup in NZ for sure! Food was seriously good, the cakes we're 10/10. Super friendly, amazing staff that give excellent customer service and make you feel right at home! Highly recommend to anyone!

Excellent coffee and food. The portions are large and good value. The place can be busy at times. Blake Park is just across the road, so a nice outlook for outdoor eating in warmer months. We had the omelette with pickled courgette, and the porridge. Both were delicious. Plenty of parking nearby.

Could use a few more bench tables outside and stools for the window seats inside. Otherwise a great new addition to the Mount cafe scene!

Ridiculously overpriced for the quality. I paid $19.50 for a oat milk flat white and a chicken wrap. Honestly I have made better wraps myself at home, I won't be coming here to eat again but the coffee was nice but again way too pricey for what it was. Cafe has a nice buzz to it and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cabinet food looked fantastic and very appetizing😋😋😋 the bun with pulled beef & blue cheese was absolutely gorgeous 😍 as well as lamb sausage and carrot cake. However, I wouldn't recommend the teriyaki chicken wrap, it was a bit dry, not enough teriyaki sauce and high volume of rocket salad overpowered the taste of the wrap. Also I really liked how the cabinet food was served on pretty plates with someone relish and salad. Really recommend this place 👍🏻👌🏻

We came in on new years day and it was busier than usual, so most empty tables were not clean for a long time. We asked a waitress to clean a table for us but she left when the table still had sauces on so we had to clean it ourselves. I went to ask for an extra plate, but received a very scornful look from the coffee lady - clearly asked the wrong person! This gave the appearance of very poor service. The coffee was good, but food was way too elaborate. Much more effort was put in for Instagram photos rather than the taste. The serving sizes didn't need to be so big and the vegan sausage rolls could be better with a softer shell.

Enjoyed another excellent brunch at Mixture on Sunday - Fathers' Day shout from my son and his girlfriend. Service was highly efficient despite the busy occasion and meals for all four of us came out together. We try to make a visit to Mixture whenever we're at The Mt - their food and service is always easily as good as we get anywhere in the city we live (a bit north of there.)

Best brekkie we have had. Hubby loved that he was able to get 4 cups hot tea out of his pot.. flat white was great!! And the meals were really nice. Eggs Benedict..best I've ever had .yellow yokes..loved the extras of beetroot relish and long wafery kumera crisps. Hubby loved his pickly mushrooms with his meal. We thought the breakfast menu names were interestingly different. I hope you dont mind me saying this but your food reminded me of Ripe in Ponsonby Rd. Auckland. I loved the atmosphere in your cafe. The long tables to seat 1-20, tables for 4 ..access to outside..spacious so that you didn't feel crowded..and friendly staff..you deserve top marks. We are definitely coming back.!!

Good place for a coffee. If you like plants this is the place to be, although it might be a little overkill cause some are dead/dying. That doesn't really take away from the great atmosphere. And the cabinet food is delicious, the passion fruit custard slice was great and satisfied three of us. Can see why its such a popular place, they know what they're doing.

BEST CAFE IN THE MOUNT. Went here for breakfast on my birthday and had the magic mushys, creamy mushrooms, on organic delish bread, poached egg... so many flavours and textures, it was HEAVEN. My family and I had lunch. They were very busy but the coffees came quick and were good. The food from the kitchen came to the table quickly but the food from the cabinet was a bit slow. But everything was very nice. The cabinet was well stocked and had a great range of options and the cafe Had a good atmosphere. We would definitely go again.

Had a business meeting here and can’t believe I have not found this place before. The coffee is excellent and the food is totally amazing. I have not seen a food cabinet so we’ll stocked with amazing food ever. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I will be back and I will take pics next time
