Love the vibes here very relaxing staff were awesome food was delicious definitely recommend this place great location close to the portside and beach nice place to go for a walk after yr meal thanks guys we enjoyed our evening

We had a great meal here with the ciabatta starter and the steak and chicken for our mains, the steak was a great cut, cooked to perfection and super tasty. We both indulged in dessert. I would highly recommend for great food and atmosphere. Service was also very good.

Amazing food, lamb rank was amazing and the flavour of the lamb and veges was amazing! Coffee and treat option was great. Service was a little slow but they were full, waitress was lovely and really made the night.

We enjoyed the pretty little European style courtyard and desserts outside. Inside was busy with good atmosphere. A nice find down a back street, in a gorgeous art deco building. Very pleasant staff as well.

Not worth the hype. Couldn't get in on Friday night for dinner so made a booking for Saturday and were a little disappointed. The garlic flatbread was absolutely amazing but I can't say the same about the eye fillet or the apparently highly regarded risotto, which were both just average. The ambience and service were good but there honestly, there are better more interesting options around.

We have been trying to get to this place for a while as had have heard great reviews. The service was great and super down to earth and the food was superb! We will definitely return and work our way through the well thought out menu with flavour bursts that just sing in your mouth. We were well impressed and rate this dining experience as a highly recommended eatery.

Great main courses, the pork belly and snapper. Unfortunately the scallops entree was left under the lamp for over 6 mins without being brought out. Salad doesn't like being heated. But the scallops were cold. It was rectified though I feel there was probably a need for more capable waitstaff . I would still return.

The food here is outstanding, however the menu has not changed in years (and that includes the specials board). Also the service can be a bit hit and miss, but I totally appreciate that many in the service industry are struggling to get enough staff.

This was the best meal we had on the North Island and we have been going to great restaurants. Excellent in every single detail. We didn’t have a reservation and were lucky they could find a table for us outside, at the patio. Make sure you eat at this restaurant at least one time when visiting the region.

Recommended by an Auckland friend, we took our Hawkes Bay sister-in-law to Three Doors Up for dinner. We shared a chicken liver pate which was plenty for three. It was very tasty. I enjoyed salmon with crispy roasted potatoes, avocado and a very good variety of veges. Service was friendly and pleasant. And the music was soft enough so that we could talk! Lovely evening thank you.

Doesn't rate as the best dining experience I've had, even in Hawkes Bay. Was not unpleasant, tries hard to be upmarket but the good wasn't quite there and service was pleasant but not rave-worthy, good perhaps not great. Even when catching the servers eye, they still went to other tables and chatted to other staff before coming over. The fresh focacia was still fridge-cold and barely edible, in fact a large portion was not eaten by guests. On the whole, not unpleasant but also not with a return visit next time we are in town

One of the best scotch fillets I have had before, cooked to perfection 👌. To top it off had dessert as well which again was beautiful. Service was really good too. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes beautiful food.

A wonderful restaurant where they use the best quality ingredients and go out if their way to make everybody happy. I was amazed at how the busy kitchen created a wonderful vegan dish, especially for me. Tasty, beautifully presented and the serviceis outstanding.

Three Doors is our absolute favourite.! Anj and the team consistently provide an excellent menu, wonderful wine list and professional service with a warm and friendly atmosphere. We have for many years operated a very busy Bed and Breakfast with international and NZ guests, recommending Three Doors for guests wanting a special meal. We repeatedly had glowing reports back, that their meals had been superb and on occasions guests had booked for each night of their time in Napier!!! A heads up...... Bookings are highly recommended.

Visiting from Auckland went there for the first time Sunday Night. The place was packed and wow from the excellent service to the outstanding quality of the food, we were most impressed. The chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with prunes was unbelievably good and for dessert the lemon meringue was 10/10. We raved about the meal on drive back home next day. Our friends were right this is a restaurant not to be missed.

We booked out the Fourth Door for a group 60th birthday party. Was a fun night. Great hostess and staff. Wonderful selection of canopies and the meals where fantastic, beautiful presentation. You could order any one of the three deserts and not be disappointed. Book in at Christmas and you can sample a medley of all three. Will happily dine here or the Third Door again.

Fantastic dining experience here. We had a group of 30 people, every meal was spectacular and the service was exceptional. Staff were lovely and really attentive. The chocolate brownie was the best I've ever tasted. I'll definitely dine here again.

We have just visited this wonderful restaurant. Wonderful food, great friendly service. Food was lovely and hot and quite quick at being served to our table We were taken care of by a lovely lady and we loved the different options she presented to us to make our dining experience fabulous. I had the scallops in panko crumbs but instead of chips I could have the potato galette with such a tasty coleslaw. My husband had the Beef Wellington. Great meals. We were visiting from Tauranga and staying at The Anchorage motel. We walked along West Quay looking for somewhere to eat but most of the places had music blaring and we were looking for something a bit more sophisticated. We found Three Doors Up on google maps and what a hidden gem. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Welcomed on arrival. Caramelized onion bread was delicious, chowder and Calamari....until a long hair was found in the calamari. Potato and onion side dish at $8 was a very small serving. Coffee's were made went to the bathroom and they were still sitting on the service desk.

A great experience. We didn’t book so we’re lucky to find a table. My family is a bit difficult with our dietary needs but our waiter was great and shared a laugh throughout the evening, it really made the experience enjoyable. The food was also good, think of it as higher end pub food. I would certainly return.

Everyone raves about this place, but it wasn't quite what we were expecting. We were quite late to sit and we left before desert because the place was packing up at 9:30pm. But the food we had was nice, the staff were friendly though I would have liked a little more service, I basically had to flag down our server to get a second beer. My steak though, so, so good. Booked a table from out of town for a birthday party having only looked at the web site, requested a cake for the birthday girl. I was contacted closer to the time to be asked for a preference in the cake's flavour. We duly arrived at 3 Doors Up Saturday night, greeting was very friendly and we were shown to our table. Orders taken for drinks which promptly arrived, we were given time to decide on our food, the order was taken. Bread arrived quickly as did the one entree. In no time at all the mains were served. The presentation was great the flavours ran true - a lovely meal enjoyed by all 6. Cake served complete with candle and knife. The ambience, the relaxed but efficient service and the food was very very good. I WILL BE BACK. Thank you, thank you for making our night a wonderful one.

The fish of the day was gurnard. It was served with vegetables including young potatoes and asparagus. The saltiness of the fish was balanced perfectly with the acidity of lemon. The young potatoes were crispy at the edges, and the asparagus was crunchy. I matched it with local Sauvignon Blanc, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had.

The atmosphere is best described as hyperlocal and delightful— a truly hidden gem. We wish we could return but are leaving Napier in the morning.

It was tasty but with 3 very thin slices of aubergine and some chopped asparagus and red pepper and about half a teaspoon of blue cheese - it was a miserly portion for the price. Otherwise pleasant.

Easter Saturday and no booking, but despite the initial 'we're fully booked' they managed to seat us as we were very early - 2 adults and a 2 year old. No children's menu, but not a problem "the chef will prepare anything for your daughter", so risotto is was. The service was fantastic and the food was perfect. We go here every year for Valentine's day. Always a great experience and really good atmosphere. I think the food is a we bit expensive for you get and I would have expected more love towards the food and personal touch. For example, grating the parmasen cheese personally rather than using pre grated would have been nicer. Presentation of the food I think was ok but i think it could be improved. Good selection of drinks and always really good service. Would recommend.
