Very nice cafe located on The Square in the centre of Palmerston North. Great outdoor views, with seating both inside and out. The food was excellent, good portion size and very tasty indeed. Prices were ok too. I would have no hesitation going back next time I am visiting Palmy.

Recently had 2 of their big breakfasts, Absolutely beautiful. Carol told us her scrambled eggs were the best, well my husband says his faith has been restored. Absolutely amazing. Went back and ordered a cheesecake for a birthday,...... Just stunning 😍 Looking forward to our next breakfast on the 15th March.

We had yummy hot scones straight from the oven. They were absolutley delicious and they were very busy.

Best coffee I’ve ever had, I’ve never seen so many flavoured syrups!!! Definitely one of my new favourite café’s

Egg was well done good service self serving for your water which I like very much cute little cafe with an upstairs with a view of the city would come here again with family or by myself

A great variety of delicious food to choose from. I was happy with a light meal of scrambled eggs, with a cup of tea. It was moderately busy, however I was surprised that the tables remained uncleared while I was there. This limited choice of table unless you were prepared to shift plates to one side.

Continues to be the best Keto burger option in town. Soul food!

Great place to go for a meal or a snack. The food and coffees are excellent and the staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming, nothing is ever a problem. I cannot fault the place at all. They even have a play area for your kids!!

No atmosphere. No welcoming staff here. Self service counter foods. Had chicken and Brie maybe cranberry sandwich, very tiny. Absolutely no taste. My friend also found items she purchased lacked flavour. Sad in such a good location. Won't be visiting again

Could have a better range and a bit pricey. As a pensioner i would prefer less fancy food but the scrambled eggs on toast is nice.

Got to be one of the best cafes and function venues in the Manawatu. Fantastic location with views over The Square and good parking. Indoor outdoor seating, great food and excellent service by friendly and competent staff.

Verdict cafe I go here every friday with a group of friends .The food is very good , the staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this cafe . Parking can be a bit of a hassle but the cafe is worth it.

Absolutely love this place. We come here almost every second Saturday with our 3 kids as we did before you guys moved from the other side of the square. Some saturdays are chaotic then others but you guys manage. Keep up the awesome work, shout out to your lovely ladies at FOH today and our waiter who worked around the kids with 3 plates of pancakes in tow! See you all next weekend.

Coffee and shakes were good. Food was also really good. They said they'd bring cutlery but didn't. Ultimately though good food in a nice location.

Really really really really nice nummy eggs bene. Maybe they should name it after that singer it is so really really good they could might just be able to do that if they asked her really nicely and sent her one via courier for free. But there would be obvious issues with that, the courier driver would probably eat it. Actually I might get a job as a courier driver and hang around The Verdict and do their courieerring for free.

Great take away coffee. Food looked nice too but didn't have the time to eat it. Maybe next time.

Met for Grandies luncheon 2 years old today. Nice and warm today with play area upstairs for littlees. .

This is an excellent cafe if you are looking for something off the road. It is down behind some shops so is quite private. We have been here several times and have found the coffee and food to be excellent. Customer service is always good. Unfortunately, this time there was some construction work going on next door so you can hear a lot of drilling. Found a spot furthest away from the noise and it wasn't too bad. Highly recommend The Verdict.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Amazing staff. Amazing service and Amazing setting. Cabinets are always full of Amazing food at reasonable prices.

It was absolutely lovely when the staff opened the b-ifold doors, the cafe was busy but no long waits for the queue to be served. Impressed with the selection and freshness of foods and the covers over muffins and scones. Coffee was served exactly as requested. Would definitely revisit again.

Best cafe I have found in Palmy for kids, the upstairs kids cafe was amazing. Kept them entertained while we had great coffee. They didn't want to leave.

Lovely breakfast here. Bigger than it looks from the outside. Friendly service. Only negative was that it was a little cold with the doors open at the back. Recommended if you want a tasty start to the day.

Such a cool location amazing views from upstairs Coffee was delicious food was also sooo yummy they have the best hollandaise sauce in town.. staff were also very friendly an very helpful as my grandma didn’t know how to use the lift to get upstairs for herself an walker an the lovely lady that served us kindly helped my grandma up the lift I think she may have been the owner so thankyou for such an outstanding visit for my Grandma an I .. fully recommend an we will be back again

Best Café in town by a long shot! Owners Carol and Adrian the most amazing down to earth, hard working people you could ever meet. Pop in for a coffee and some incredible food!

Nice cafe, usually can get pretty crowded which shows the food is nice. Service was a little slow however.

The service on this particular day was a bit average. Have been on another occasion not long after the move and the food looked fresh and tempting.

Mum and I were looking for somewhere different to go that we hadn't been to for a while. So we went to the Verdict. We got a nice counch to sit at in the sun, the coffee's were nice and Mum enjoyed her potato bake. One has heaps of choice from the menu as well as from the counter. Only fault which is not a biggy was that up to 6 tables were not cleared when we left...maybe they were short staffed. I would still go there again. A little hard to find if you didn't know they were there.

Only had a coffe, staff did seem to be more interested in gossiping amongst themselves than serving customers. Coffee was OK.

The food and atmosphere was superb. Really enjoyed having lunch there and will recommend my friends to go there too.
