Joe's Garage was absolutely amazing for breakfast. Very attentive staff, who kept checking we had everything we needed. Coffee was fantastic, I am very picky about my coffee. Loved how the stalky stem was cut out of my tomato too, that's something I have never seen done before but well received.

Thank you so much to the staff at Joe's garage. We went for breakfast yesterday and first of all the decor is awesome, we went straight to the table with the big green tractor for my tractor obsessed toddler. Secondly the staff from the get go were all so amazing. I have never been anywhere that has catered to my babies needs like they did. They made sure to get his food out super quick/highchair the works and they were so friendly. It was like working in a good shearing gang!The music was outstanding, the staff were singing along which we loved!and the food was perfect, hearty and tasty grub!thank you for kicking our morning off so well guys !! We had gorgeous George, el morocco, muesli, beef burger and teddy best. Took quite some time for food to be served, we waited for about 35 minutes. El morocco and beef burger had really dry patties. Gorgeous George and muesli were okay. Teddy best was really good but the portion is on the smaller side. Staff were really friendly. 3 stars because of the food. Everything else was great.

Generous portions, lovely atmosphere, and good service. We dropped into Joe's Garage for lunch and were very pleased. The portions were surprisingly big! They also had a really nice variety as well as specials that aren't on the menu. The atmosphere is a really great part of this place as well. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, lots of fresh air and sunlight, even sitting inside. Good food and excellent coffee! Would definitely recommend stopping in for a casual, relaxing time.

Dear management, your food is excellent and staff are absolutely amazing, but I felt so sorry for how overwhelming busy they were today. It was a full house and there needed to be more staff there to support one another. They were still very kind and apologetic with the long wait times, but they were under alot of pressure.

Despite a very full and extremely busy Sunday brunch cafe thank you for offering several times to bring a high-chair to our table for the toddler, which we really did need. The Joe's Garage hospitality staff are equal to the quality of Wellington's hospitality workforce, a group of people who go out of their way to ensure their customers a quality experience - great food, great staff, made a good Labour Weekend even better.

A great experience in all. The staff today were friendly and catered for my two children really well with colouring pages and crayons while we waited for our food, a member of staff even sneaked my kids a lollipop each when I had to visit the toilet, which I thought was lovely. I recently had lunch on a Sunday with a friend. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and were notified of the delay with service as they were quite busy. We didn't mind at all and were seated. They have a great menu and excellent Gluten free options. The food was delicious and the coffee was very nice. They adhere well to the Level 1 guidelines with hand sanitiser at the counter and seating spaced apart accordingly. The staff were friendly and polite. The service was excellent. This is an excellent place to dine at. Thanks for the excellent food and service.

Tasty brunch/lunch food and a good selection on the menu. They coped pretty well with our group at a busy time, and the staff served us pleasantly and efficiently. The coffee was ok, although not what I'd choose if I was going out for just coffee. Would go back for the food though.

With a name like 'Joe's Garage' we were not expecting it to be a cafe, however we saw tables and chairs outside so decided to call in. It looked more like a bar, then a cafe so not sure what it is. The coffee was great, however customer service was average. The server almost threw the cups on our table and walked away - maybe she was in a bad mood. The toilet facilities were clean, however there was a sign that is marked off when cleaned/checked which wasn't marked off for most of the day. It did appear that they hadn't been checked as the soap dispenser was empty and the toilet roll dispenser was almost empty. It was an interesting cafe so we are likely to return. Hopefully we would have a more pleasant experience the next time.

This is a really cute place that used to be a garage, and the décor reflects this. It has great snacks, great coffee, great service and very reasonable prices. Our visits to this place are very memorable and we have enjoyed every visit. If you like quirky coffee shops you'll love this place!

Four of us Dropped in for brunch today - we had the Moroccan dish, 2 x beef salad and 1 x chicken salad. Really tasty! The beef was a good size dish, very tender beef, fabulous sauce & spiches. A very warm welcome from the super friendly staff as you enter., with the sounds of Van Morrison drifting through the establishment. The interior is rustic brickwork with a novelty theme of American toy trucks which hold the condiments on the tables. The seating is comfortable and relaxing, this would make a great place for after work drinks. They offer an all day menu with GF options. I had the Jose Burrito, I requested hot beans in mine and the staff were accommodating and delivered with a smile.

Nice enough. You have to be Kate Moss skinny to fit behind the table in the booth seats. There were used sugar sachets in the utensil holders. The table was sticky. The food was the same as usual so fairly consistent. Quite a bit of oil on my plate though.

Probably one of the last eatery's to visit for us here in the Manawatu. Everything was okay. Just responding to your invitation to contact you regarding my review of our experience at Joe's Garage recently. As mentioned, our visit was okay. The seven dollar banana & honey smoothie was very underwhelming, the banana tasted quite bitter, & the honey had not been blended into the mix adequately enough, leaving streaks of honey stuck to the inside of the glass, leaving literally just a banana and milk mix. The breakfast was okay, yet again, nothing I would go out of my way to order again, “bland” to put it bluntly. The fries & gravy was a waste of money, thickly coated in paprika or some other spice, & seriously, the gravy tasted like it was a “just add boiling water” job. To your credit, the décor & atmosphere is incredible, as well as the coffee. Really can’t fault the place on that. As we are in the accommodation sector, we are subjected to reviews which aren’t always favourable, but hey, “You’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea” We learn, we adjust, & try our best to deliver a product which a high percentage of clients are going to appreciate. I give Joe's a solid 10/10.The staff are extremely friendly the food is beautiful well prepared and full of flavor and well presented .The coffee is I'd have to say the best I have had in palmerston north .I had the beef burger with fries yum yum yum it was juicy and full of flaveiry goodness .The chips were crunchy and fluffy in the middle and perfectly coated with a beautiful seasoning .To top it off the staff brought us a water at the end of our meal which to some may not be a big deal but to us was really nice and sealed this experience .You have just got yourselves 2 more regular customers and in this day in age with so many options were I could spend my hard earned money it speaks volumes well done team .See u all soon 😍👍👍💪 !!! happy new year !!!
