I always enjoy coming here. Menu can feel a little heavy on the fried food but generally a nice place to eat. It has a fantastic playground next door and plenty of outdoor space. Coffee is served strong if that’s your preference. Friendly staff, definitely a good place to take kids.

Beautiful cafe tucked away in Paerata. Perfect for parents with youngish children. A brilliant little play park with even water play(so bring a towel and clothes) Enjoyable for mums/dads/ grandparents to have a coffee- tea- iced mocha and food while kids get to enjoy the play area.

Phil, Leisha and the team made sure we had a fantastic farewell party last weekend on the covered in deck. Great food and drink everyone had a blast. Thanks for your hospitality Phil!

Great family friendly cafe, very welcoming. Menu options were as expected, food was good enough to return. Best part was seeing how this fantastic team worked efficiently and seamlessly despite there being quite a lot of patrons to serve, mostly all dining outside. They did an exceptional job under pressure! No long wait times, all staff were professional and lovely manner. Clean and maintained premises. A bit on the pricier side, but as long as the kids are fed and having fun out in the cool play area, it's totally worth it. Cheers

Really great food with decent pricing and quick service! Very family friendly, a large grassy field and playground with water activities for children also.

Lovely Cafe to visit .. especially if you have kids as Playground is available.. would have given 5 stars but kitchen was closed at 1pm

Lovely cafe, really nice food at reasonable prices. Love coming here as the kids can head off and play while we sit and enjoy a coffee. The playground itself feels safe for all ages, although i do wish the tower with slide had an easier entrance for little ones (stairs up) but thats being super picky. Will visit here again and again :)

Went here today with some friends. Place is cozy and welcoming, heaps of spaces for kids to run around! Tried their keto burger, eggs bene, iced coffee and mochaccino which were all absolutely fantastic! I would like to commend their staff's friendliness too! Young people who are hard working and very accommodating to us! 5 stars!

The Kids Playground is amazing and ROCKUP rock-climbing was there, doing an inspiring job teaching kids teens & even adults to climb to achieve goals & conquer fears...the food was excellent and coffee top notch!!!

Excellent food. Quite expensive though. Did not ask for vaccine pass although sitting inside. Great outdoor area for kids with water play area aswell. Some seating outside. Very little shade. Still a nice place to visit.

Playground is awesome but food is average and expensive. Great place for family and kids.

My mocha was great. Staff friendly. Dogs allowed on porch. HOWEVER, the electric car charger in the car park doesn't work, and hasn't for a long time. The charger is not the responsibility of the cafe, but it's still a reason to go there if it was functioning and would garner another star.

The playground is excellent and unique, a real treat for littlies, especially the water play area, good idea to bring togs or a change of clothes and a towel! The coffee... Not so great, not terrible... The food, some is great, some just OK. For example, the burger was delicious, the croissant with tomato cheese and ham would have been nice with a little bit of something like Mustard or even mayonnaise! But $12 was so expensive for what I got. The waffles are just the ones you can buy and heat in the toaster with bacon and a touch of mascarpone and freeze dried cherries... Really needs some fresh fruit to cut the sweetness so I don't really recommend these. Overall it's very expensive for what you get but the atmosphere and playground are very nice.

Cafe food is excellent 2of us had the mince &cheese pie best ever same with the lamb shank pie. My only coment a small salad with the pie would be ace.great place for family and kids.

Really enjoyed our brunch this morning consisting of lamb shank home made pie with side gravy and l had chicken stack with tomato relish, both delicious.

This place is awesome. Food is delicious. The playground is superb. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

We followed Victoria here when she joined the team. Victoria has been amazing with our young daughter when we managed to get out to brunch since she was very young at a different venue. The location has been open quite a few of the public holidays (non surcharge either). Rise n Shine has a great area to play in front of the cafe after food and the food itself is amazing. The coffee is great and they have added extras like USB charging ports.

Great place to bring kids. Prices are a bit steep in the cafe for whats on offer.

Great spot. Was visiting in the neighbourhood and just walked over. Good chai and the kids had some muffins. They gave it a 5 stars for the cinnamon brioche and the banana chocolate chip ones. Will certainly visit again when in the area! Like if helpful!

Just had the mushroom Ben egg and I’m impressed. Good presentation and the taste was just fabulous. The only observation I can tell is that the small table (the one for 4 person) is too low for the seating position. I’m not a tall person (178cm). Is fine if you are there for coffee but uncomfortable to have lunch on. Anyway, for sure a spot to visit and when I’ll move in Paerata Rise will be, for sure, a place where I’ll hang out often!

Really enjoyed this cafe with it's lovely staff, great food, layout & semi-rural view. My friend enjoyed the keto omelette which was tasty & filling. My daughter had the waffles but some fresh seasonal blueberries or raspberries would have added to the plate. I had the Coconut French Toast which was good but missed the serving of bacon - a mistake which I didn't realise until I had left otherwise I would have given 5 stars! Will be back & highly recommend. Thanks 😊

Met family for lunch and was most impressed with this place. Food was delicious especially the Salt and Pepper Calamari. Thanks to the chef who had to cope on his own this busy day (we were told by our lovely waitress). Well done... we'll be back

We have been here twice and really love the modern light decor and yummy food. It's nicely situated in semi-rural so the drive there is nice. I ordered the big breakfast on both occasions and it is a beauty! The bacon is crispy just how I like it. The sausey is a yummy bratwurst or similar. The kids grub was top notch. My wife was also satisfied with the the healthier options on the menu. We found the staff very friendly and attentive and the Manager/Owner is hands on too and checks on you regularly and is a friendly fellow. On our first visit the music was a bit loud but on the second visit this wasn't a problem. The cakes were nice too as we bought these as a takeaway treat. We love this place. Highly recommended.

We arrived 15 minutes prior to closing and we were welcomed warmly. Although the cabinets were empty we were told we could still purchase something. The take-out tea I was given was far too milky for me and the staff provided me with a replacement without any question 😊👍. Very good service; pleasant environment.

Brunch with workmates. Ordered eggs bene with mushrooms and a caramel latte. Food comes with homemade hollandaise which I found very bland and as mushrooms were in some sauce it made the hollandaise a bit runny. Not much caramel flavour in coffee but wasn't given a spoon to stir.

They were accommodating regarding some food allergies my wife and son have, which was nice. But the meals took a very long time to come. My wife's said was lettuce... And a small bowl on the side with some avocado in. Very disappointing. My nachos were 50% sour cream and the rest tasted bland and burnt. If passing by and need a meal it's OK. But would definitely not go out of my way to go back.

My wife and I came here for my birthday lunch and really enjoyed it! Awesome quality food, great service and without doubt one of the best oat milk mochas I've ever had!!! We thoroughly recommend #riseandshinenz to everyone 👏

I dont eat out in cafes and or restaurants very often but their food is really good and nice atmosphere, quite on the pricey side as a minor heads up. Other than that its a nice place to eat at.

Just had the bacon, mushroom, tomato and brie pie, and it is the best pie I have ever had! So much flavour it was delicious! And once again the staff were lovely and very friendly :)

First visit for breakfast 1 feedback was that the hot food was put on cold plates so some of the food was cold. Heat the plates and it would be perfect. Coffee was nice!

Great place, great staff and managers. Food could improve, tastes frozen and heated but over all very good.

We barely sat down when our coffees arrived and for a busy place wait time for food wasn't too bad ... Will definitely return here again to try other menu items and the food cabinet looked dangerously inviting too

Quant cafe in the new Paerata Rise development, funky use of shipping containers for the building. Simple menu and cabinet food, well executed, with great service.

A bit over priced for what it had on the menu! But staff where nice enough! Could have done with some sauce around the place! But still give it a 7 out of 10!
