Stepping into Joe's Garage is like stepping into your mate's flat. He cooks you breakfast and makes you a quick cuppa, it feels homie and has a lot of love in it. Unfortunately your mate doesn't make the best coffee and is on a budget. Portions could be more generous, he makes up for it with his amazing service. The fries were well seasoned and are a definite 5 star. See you soon Joe.

Solid feed and great coffee. My partner and I both ordered The Local, one with spicy bratwurst and the other with the Krankys. We both enjoyed the food and coffee! I had a great flat white with coconut milk and my partner really liked his iced Americano with cream. Can't go wrong with this place!

Can’t fault this place. We randomly chose a spot for dinner based on its menu. Ordered the lamb rump and Moroccan lamb and were absolutely delighted. Service was friendly with a good vibe. This place doesn’t have the “must visit” reputation, but with meals like we had, probably should.

Looked it up on Google for somewhere for breakfast and the reviews where good. Turned up and the place was busy. Love the setting, simple stuff on the menu which I think is a great thing. Service was quick, meals came up quickly and coffee was great. I'd go as far as saying this was one of out best places to eat while in Queenstown. Hope to come back soon and give it another shot.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Went there on a Sat morning and managed to get seats for two families. Felt really cosy inside with people just enjoying their Saturday morning. Staff came along regularly to check on us. Tried ‘The Local’ which had all sorts of goodness like bacon strips, spuds, eggs.. Kid friendly too with a menu for your little ones!

Authentically South Island - cheerful, no-nonsense food with a great rock soundtrack. Always busy for brunch and lunch, always fun, with a buzzy cafe vibe and the coolest customers and staff in town. Get the bacon, egg and bratwurst bun. It's the best hangover cure ever. You can thank me later.

Good service, child friendly including colouring in for the kids. The venues name 'Joe's garage' and decore scream greasy American food but it was not at all. I had the lamb main and it was great. Unfortunately no change table for the little ones. 3/5 "I Liked It"

Was looking for cafe for having breakfast and Joe's pops up on google. We actually went to other places but either too busy, not place to sit, or needed to sit outside which is pretty cold today, or not the menu we wanted and found this. Although this place was also busy, we managed to sit at counter. Quite tight, but okay. Waited for our food to arrive a while, but they are so great, filling, Pancake so nice as well as sausage, mushroom. Wish we could sit at table, but never mind.

Loved this place. We went 3 times in a week. Friendly staff, cool interior and most of all good delicious food done well. The menu was not over the top fancy but hearty food and the chefs make it well. Would highly recommend for breakfast.

Very good restaurant with a friendly staff. I ordered the beef burger and my girlfriend the salad with beef strips (i forgot the name). Both of our dishes were fantastic. The burger was perfect medium and tasted delicious. It's equally good to the Ferg Burger Restaurant, but you don't have to wait over 25 min for your order. The price was also fine. Burger with fries included 18 NZD and the salad 22 NZD. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Good food. If you are a tourist this is one of the places to eat that will be in all recommendations. I live in NZ so brunch wasn't a big deal for me but I heard that this is one of the best and oldest places in Queenstown. Service is excellent and the staff is outstanding! I recommend this place.

If you’re in Queenstown this is a MUST to visit. Coffee was great but atmosphere is really what makes this place amazing. When you’re half way through your meal and the waiter shouts “you lot, all good” you know you’ve landed an authentic experience. Food was great coffee was great and super kid friendly, got us colouring books and little chocolates for the kids. Awesome experience!

Busy, eclectic and lots of bacon and eggs in differing varieties. Coffee was ok, coconut milk was an option for a latte. You can sit on stools at the bar and watch the grill masters churning out the bacon, eggs, piklets, and smashed potatoes. French toast also looked ok.

The Original! Great locale with classic coffee and breakfast options while crossing over into brunch-style atmosphere. The Clevor Trevor pictures here is like an elevated Sloppy Joe. Outside seating with relaxed music was also a plus! Keep it up, guys!

This venue is definitely the hidden gem that the locals go to. The attention to detail in the decor and vibe is great, very American. Flawless traditional cooked breakfast with a touch of modern flare here and there. Friendly and helpful staff, open early for the eager eaters. Don't miss it on a Queenstown visit. My family have been going to Joe's for over 20 years when we visit Queenstown, and I cannot fault the staff, the vibe or the food! Evan does a fantastic job conversing with the customers, and ensures everyone leaves with a smile. We always have gone for breakfast in the past (highly recommend the Tuska or the Sweetie), and went last week for dinner -which was fantastic, and the cocktails were delicious too!

Myself and two friends dined here on first table on 5/04/19, both friends had varying dietary requirements (celiac & vegan). The guy (who's name I don't know) was excellent in catering to their needs, he understood the difference between gluten intolerant and celiacs and knew enough about the menu to swap out certain ingredients on the vegetarian menu to tailor make it to a vegan diet. The service was amazing from start to finish and that alone is enough for me to return! I ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection (Med rear) it was lacking in flavor but nothing a bit of salt and pepper couldn't fix.

Their food is so amazing, I was in tears.It reminded me of home.I am from Nepal and normally western food doesn’t do it for me, but Joe’s El Morocco was heavenly. It was my choice and also a recommendation from one of the staff so I decided to give it a go and ahhh it melted in my mouth, every bite was a taste I could never forget and don’t even get me started on their coffee. I am a mocha lover and, normally it is either less hot chocolate or more but theirs was just perfect. So, I obviously went back again.I give it 4 stars because I would have just liked the staffs to be a bit friendly however it must be because they were really busy.Although the guy in the red check shirt was really professional. Anyway I would say skip the queue at the ferg’s or not, but do visit Joe’s garage in Queenstown, coming from a foodaholic who is rarely pleased, Joe’s el Morocco did it for me :)

A group of us had just been out on KJet doing Jet Boating and were looking for somewhere close to have lunch. So we selected Joe's Garage. The staff were very helpful, and although the food is simple it was very pleasant. I liked it a lot. Joe's Garage also has complimentary WiFi. The speed was bad. About 1Mb/s down and 500Kb/s up. I was trying to organise my photos in Google Photos after the Jet Boating and it was excruciatingly slow. I then left for 10 minutes to get some more of the group and bring them back, and when I got back the WiFi locked me out. I'm guessing you are only allowed to use it once per day. Stink. I would have given Joe's Garage a rating of 5 if it was not for the terrible WiFi experience. Come on Joe's, don't be so mean spirited about sharing the Internet. Not a way to treat a group who would have spent many hundreds of dollars at your business.
