First time staying here, nice room, great staff and looks like good facilities. Is close to eat street, little bit of noise at night but didn’t go late. Will definitely stay again on my next trip.

Everything was perfect. Staff were fantastic. The whole place looks immaculate and classy. Food was great and it was really quiet despite the live band down at Eat Street. Couldn't even tell it was a Saturday night.

Lovely comfortable room Upgraded so that was much appreciated Had dinner at the restaurant really friendly staff, delicious meal (I had the fish which was divine) and a complimentary glass of wine. Great cocktail and wine list. Will definitely stay again.

The two platters we ordered were fresh and delicious. Meeting room was clean and warm -? this place is a hidden gem.

I was so looking forward to the smoked fish tart, it was an eggie quich with a sprinkle of smoked fish, very disappointing and more suitable for a cafe. The Panacotta was delicious but was only decorated with couli (not enough) in comparison to my friends dessert it was miniscule.

The room , especially the one with king bed were very nice. The bigger room has a lounge but has a queen bed. I prefer the bigger bed available in the mid price options. We had high tea and that was very nice and extremely filling. The service was excellent and so friendly. Lots of families used the 29°c swimming pool while we were indulging in English Breakfast Tea and high tea.

I have been regularly staying at the Regent for the last 1.5 years when I travel for work. I can't speak highly enough of the quality of the service and the professionalism of all staff. The room is always immaculate, great attention to detail and all the amenities are fantastic. My last visit was during the lockdown and all the safety procedures were in place. I was very grateful for the hotel staff making my stay comfortable despite the obvious operational difficulties during this time. I will not stay anywhere else in Rotorua.

Highly recommend. We stayed here for 1 night and was impressed with the decor, comfort and cleanliness of the room. Staff were very friendly and professional. Grounds were impeccable and we enjoyed the use of the indoor mineral pool. Love that the restaurant had a plant based menu and we will be back to try it out. 2 min walk to Eat streat. We left an item of clothing and it was not a problem for staff to return. Fabulous place to stay!

Amazing place to have food. We went for our Christmas party, good options for veg and non veg, alcoholic beverages available, over all nice place.

Excellent hotel very upmarket. The furnishing is very posh and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The only small negative is the room only has one blackout curtain on one side and even then that side couldn't block out the lights on the porch which stayed on all night.

My wife and I joined some friends who were staying at the Regent and they absolutely loved it! We also dined in their excellent restaurant. And that was fabulous! The only thing they couldn't provide was any 0.0% beer (or wine) which would've been a great condiment to my meal, at least. Everything else was terrific.

I always stay at the Regent - I travel with work, and feel very safe and comfortable as a travelling business woman. The rooms are beautiful. They are classy, their restaurant is beautiful - but most of all their staff are lovely, and I have to make mention of Vivienne, who always has a smile 😊 and so accommodating and so hard working and pleasant. I love arriving and seeing her lovely smile. I feel like I am at home.

Service was good, price was fair, and the room was clean. I feel the staff work hard to provide guests with a good experience. Fantastic location, but the noise coming from Eat Street at night is significant (for our room at least). Private spa is definitely worth a visit, ask at reception to book.

Great place to stay. The rooms were nice, clean and well maintained. The rain shower was amazing. The buffet breakfast was good, but could’ve been better if it was replenished. The hotel was easy walking distance to bars and restaurants

Great service from a friendly team and the food was really nice.

We had a comfortable stay at the Regent. There were a couple of small things that affected our rating. We found some food wrappers in the bedroom and only half a roll of toilet paper in one bathroom with no backup paper. Luckily we only stayed one night. The loud music from Eat Street next door was noticeable until late at night also.

We stayed here for one night and had a two bedroom suite. The room and it's facilities were lovely and to a high standard. The location is central and very handy. The only things that keeps us from giving five stars are lack of an elevator and the breakfast buffet. The continental buffet was underwhelming with very few options and quantities. The breads were stale and there was no toaster. We definitely recommend the Regent for staying but perhaps skip the breakfast or order a cooked option.

Stayed in a Cutie Room in March 2021. Room very clean and hotel interior quite lovely. Bed a bit soft and partner found pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast did not seem value for money. Buffet disappointing and took a while for coffee to be filled. Some hot options a bit odd. Wasn't sure if barista coffee was inclusive and staff too busy to ask. Check out process confusing. After submitting credit card details with online booking, was very awkward being asked to pay at end of stay. Check in lady was very helpful in finding an extension lead for my sleep machine - much appreciated. All things considered, not sure if I would choose to stay here in future.

We had a great time at Regents Rotorua. The staff was very kind to accommodate us with a toddler. We received a nice big room with a kitchenette and set us up with a travel cot. The room was beautifully decorated, as my older son put it, "like a royal accommodation". Food was also delicious. Thank you, we will surely visit again.

Currently staying here at the Regent Rotorua and superb pretty much tells our story. From our arrival, to the mineral pool. The staff we cannot fault. Breakfast, exactly what we wanted continental buffet. Fresh fruit, housemade bread, cheeses. No faults. Our dinner meal... Flavors, textures, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff faultless. Always a hello, nothing is too difficult.... The hotel is quiet small and intimate.. So all plus's. If anything I hope this review assists future guests to come here and enjoy the hotel, staff, food and their amenities. Please enjoy..

Such a beautiful set up! Loved the decor. Room service was great!

+ Good size rooms, great location, very nice pool and thermal spa and friendly and accommodating staff. ÷ Very short beds, hot water sometimes took up to 5 minutes to get hot and 24" flat screen TVs that you can't see anything on from the bed due to the tiny sizem

Just a motel with fancy name. I prefer other hotels like Novotel, Millennium or Sudima hotels in Rotorua.

We have had some average experiences at other hotels in Rotorua but I must say this hotel exceeded expectations!! The rooms, restaurant and staff well above average!! The modern, simple design and decor is pleasant, would 100% recommend staying here!!

Lots of pros and cons here mostly positive outstanding staff outstanding room except the T.V. could've been a lot bigger for the size of the room.car parking was an issue even though they have security cameras .Noise at night was an issue mainly from the pump house at the back of the property.The meals were in my opinion over priced for what you get but otherwise they were actually very tasty.Overall it was a pleasant experience

Fantastic fine dining. It had been years since I'd been into the Regent, we were not feeling like anything in eat street so we thought why not try it out again. I'm so glad we did. We popped in on a quite Monday and ordered some cocktails, and entrees, we were so impressed we had to come back later in the week for the degustation and weren't disappointed. I had the vegan version and she had the meat version. The flavours and textures in every dish are so we'll thought out and the matched wines were on point. Standouts for me were the forest Mushroom dish and venison and beetroot dish, both 10/10. Service is excellent and although the decor feels like it could be a bit Ott it was relaxed and comfortable. Make sure you try it out if your in town.

Such a beautiful room that felt like luxury, ladies at front desk were so easy to deal with and always greeted with a smile.

Amazing stay, the staff were all really nice and accomodating, the heated pool was great and the spa was really nice too. Room was big and clean with some nice touches. Location was the best, being so close to town. Had a great stay!

The hotel is lovely, the location impressive, the breakfast delicious and most of all the staff are all extremely nice and helpful. So why a 3 star review? Well, even though we were told beforehand safe off-street parking was available, it turns out the hotel does not have enough car parks available for all rooms. We were told to park out on the street, and unfortunately we got our car keyed overnight. Repair costs for our car added $500 to our holiday bill. If you are coming by car, I would suggest booking at one of many hotels that offers proper car parking. Edit: After the review the hotel followed up with me and offered a great solution. I appreciate their honest follow-up and great service so I increased my rating to five stars.

Very nice lunch: smoked kahawai and seafood chowder pie with homemade twice cooked chips; followed by citrus tart with passion fruit syrup, lemon curd ice cream. Delicious!

Great service, great food, nice mineral pool, good rooms, expensive rates and definitely not a 5 stars hotel. 3 stars review for a 3 stars hotel. Just a reality check for you guys that a 5 stars hotel is much more than that. Anyway it still a comfortable place to stay.

Came for dinner. Was delicious! The food had fantastic flavour and tasted great. Couldn't fault anything. Well done to the kitchen staff! The waitress we had was lovely. All round, brilliant service.

Our family of five dined at The Regent Rotorua for lunch on Christmas Day. What a banquet! The food was absolutely delicious, and the chef was very accommodating to depart from the set menu for our children. It was a great experience, and we highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

Hands down the BEST place I have ever stayed at. Luxury accommodation at its finest. The staff are incredible, they went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. The room was stunning, I absolutely loved the fresh modern decor. We will DEFINITELY be back

The Regent is a very small boutique type hotel, however, that being said, it is very nice. The main lobby/dining area is very clean and tidy with a great selection of breakfast options. We were pleased with our meals each day. If the small boutique hotel isn’t your cup of tea, then this might not be for you, but it is indeed a very nice hotel situated right next to eat street, lake Rotorua and a large variety of the activities and sights which visitors partake in. I would recommend this hotel for others, however I don’t think it would be the hotel for ample children but don’t let that sway you. Great choice hotel.

Lovely rooms, fresh refurbishment. Very quiet. Lovely warm swimming pool and spa, and 1 min walk to Eat St, so very handy location. We will stay again. ++

Room-4 ⭐small but all included. Location-5 ⭐ close to City Centre Reception- 1 ⭐ One of women from reception didn't explain any facilities of hotel. We are wanted to check in early but she was very angry and did not help us. She doesn't like her work. We were very disappointed.😭😭😭 However when we were checked out the Man at the reception was polite and professional. He explained to us all the facilities of the hotel, regrettably it was too late🤔

This hotel is a surprising little Gem of a hotel, when you arrive you will think it is like any other small hotel. The rooms are fantastic and spacious. We had two rooms for a family of five and everyone feel like they had enough space. Located very close to the restaurant street it is a great location as well so as you can simply head out on foot to explore the town. Enjoy!

We had high tea here on a Sunday afternoon after cycling in the forest. There were loads of delicious treats and it exactly what we needed after a morning of activity.

Clean, tidy rooms with good wifi and plenty of parking. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Rotorua and good places to eat in the evening. The bed was too soft for us and we could feel all movement from the other person but the sheets were nice and crisp :)

Very tidy and clean. Large bathroom and nicely appointed rooms. Reception was very welcoming. Couldn't ask for a better position, just around the corner from eat street.

The Regent staff provided best service at a hotel during our three week trip in Australia and New Zealand. Finesse at the front desk checked us in with kind, friendly professionalism and that really set the stage for our three night stay there. The location is perfect for walking and exploring. The room was beautiful. Thank you so much!

Staff is very personable and friendly. Overall amenities level medium to high. Mineral hot tub is nice but there's a strict time limit. No stove available and there was a strange day bed in our room. There were some strange omissions in our room - e.g. no pen, dirty microwave, etc. Bed was a bit lumpy and shower setup was strange.

An amazing hotel! The staff were very friendly & helpful (each and EVERY time we had any questions). The food from their breakfast menu was very yummy! Would definitely be back and recommend to others. The only downside is that you wouldn't want to leave!

By far the best all round accommodation in Rotorua. I travel to Rotorua often for business and have stayed at numerous hotels in the area. I have been back to the Regent 4 times now and the staff(especially Vivian that never forgets a name and always greets you with a warm and friendly smile), food and accommodation is consistently the best!

If your looking for a fine dining experience then check this crowd out, tuebwoters and waitresses know their food and how to make your evening a pleasure. They know which wines to compliment your food and even though you may not know what's on your plate, they do I had squid ink with my meal I didn't k ow what it was lol

Loved the location being right next to eat street amongst other places. The hotel staff were friendly. Specifically, Leina did a great job explaining the types of activities to do and making us feel special. The cookies and two glasses of champagne in celebration of our honeymoon was a very nice touch. There was a luggage delay from the airline and we asked to be shipped to the hotel. They ensured that our luggage was taken care of while we continued our tour during the day. Thanks for providing us a comfortable stay in New Zealand!

Lovely lunch today, highly recommend the pre Christmas lunch to anyone looking for somewhere a bit special to catch up with friends. Staff were very accommodating and patient with.

Lovely rooms, love the swimming pool but no way of washing your dishes or inadequately ventilating the toilet smells which makes it pretty uncomfortable to your guests

Fantastic. Food and Service excellent.

I'd love to score this 2 1/2 out of 5. The main reason for the low score was it was not child friendly really. The building itself was, but the staff at breakfast in particular were cold, rude, slow, and unattentive. Small details were missed, and the quality of the food was really low. Eggs were unedible, no toaster, and had to be sent to the kitchen that then came back charred and unsuitable for a toddler, coffee was horrendous. The rooms themselves are not bad, but the units installed for the microwave etc were all upward opening, and actually really difficult to control. I felt tricked by opening what I presumed to be a free bottled water, only to be charged $6. Three local calls we were told we free, then were presented with them on the bill. There's just so many little moments in our experience with this hotel that results in a poor overall taste. The nicest part of the overall stay was a guy called Finesse. He was so lovely and attentive. The rest of the staff could do with taking a leaf out of his book!

One of the best stays we've had at a hotel in a long time. The service is what made our stay so fantastic, the staff were highly professional yet extremely personable which is what stood out to me. The facilities were great, both pools were excellent, and the restaurant was great and well priced too. Location is great, off the main strip so rooms were quiet at night. Will definitely be back. The hotel is really nice and staff was really friendly and helpful. We received plenty of information about all the different places to visit around town and some pretty good advices from the reception desk. The hotel is very well localised within the city and very close to the street where most of restaurants are. The hotel also has parking, warm pools and a very nice restaurant. The room (family apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) was spacious and beautiful but lacked some appliances like a stove and dishwasher. Furniture should include a table and chairs for meals eaten in the room. The room we got was in the first floor but there were no lifts, so if access is an issue to you, double check with the reception if there are any ground floor units. The overall feel and experience was really good and I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room i had would rival most hotels in Rotorua. This is a mini hotel but but not mini in quality. My bed was by far the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in anywhere. Would definatley recommend and will be back again someday. The only bad thing i can think of was having to leave

What a rad little place. Fantastic service and a sweet little room. It's like an upscale motel without the cooking facilities. The room fit out is high end and luxurious. Can't fault it. Great spot.

My wife and I stayed here 2 years ago and we still remember this place fondly. Our anniversary dinner in the hotel was luxurious and superb; the hotel restaurant was actually the best in Rotorua. The concierge was extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms had also recently been refurbished so although they were small we were very comfortable. We were not disappointed - highly recommended.

Apart from the beautiful rooms this is my second stay, the second time the service and cleanliness has been outstanding. Highly recommend!

Nice little hotel. They have their own mineral pool but we didnt have time to check it out. Complimentary a la carte breakfast was a plus. There are many restaurants close by as well.

From what my friends said, i would recommend this place. Close to eat streets and other shops.

Very kind staff and clean rooms. Avoid the ‘cutie’ rooms, way too small. Avoid all rooms in the east wing located in the back. They have basically blind windows, sometimes looking into a messy backyard.

This is a very nice boutique hotel in Rotorua. The rooms have modern decor as well as some limited kitchen and dishware which is nice for a takeaway meal.

Professionally managed and maintained, staff were extremely accomodating! Food is 5 star, and the complimentary champagne for our anniversary was a real surprise, and made it even more special. We will definitely be back, and would recommend it to everybody!
