I.Nice brunch/lunch & dinner place, next door to Motel, good coffee and food. The Berry coulis with my French toast order was runnier than I'm used to, looks like a spilt raspberry drink 🤔🤔 Otherwise nice atmosphere, attentive staff, great service.

A.I'm yet to experience the food quality but I've just been for an interview and the quality of customer service is excellent. The place makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The lighting is a cool glow which illuminates the restaurant. Plenty of choice to choose from at the bar. I look forward to possibly working here and trying new things 😊
B.Had a wonderful time at the Urban Bistro. The staff were amazing, the food was beautiful and they simply couldn't do enough to make sure our stay in Rotorua was extremely pleasant. The menu was stunning for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Outside was particularly nice. Come highly recommended.

R.Have had a lovely family lunch here. The staff were pleasant and helpful with requests. All the food is good and the coffee excellent.

J.Service was pretty average from staff but was really good from the lady who may be the owner? Drinks came on time but food took >40 minutes, also asked for sauce and never came. Staff need to be a bit more onto it.
J.I found it very expensive. Not much choice of mains. Our group was over two tables. One group had eaten dessert before other table was even asked if they
wanted dessert. My friend and I had been waiting to order but rest of table decided they wanted to leave, so we didn't get any because so late coming to take order.

A.Service by waitress was excellent and they say a picture paints a 1000words. But as a vegan/vegetarian the leek/potato soup 'was' tasty but the main was quitez a heavy meal for the prices we paid. We can not comment on the non-vegan/vegetarian menu but it has a fine dining reputation and seems popular.
T.Kept forgetting to try this place because its on the side of town we rarely go to... but finally made it there today... Lovely atmosphere, clean and tidy place,wonderful service and food was amazing. Will definitely be recommending to others and returning ourselves

T.Excellent food and friendly service in a nice setting! Good selection of wine and beer. Food is interesting, and very tasty with very good presentation. We liked everything from the assorted bread plate, to the mains (lamb and chicken both outstanding), to dessert (the Deconstructed Lemon Meringue Pie).

Z.This is the best place in Rotorua I've been to for a dinner. Location is bit out of centre but it is very worthwhile the trip. Interior is nice and more on fine dining end. Menu is not too big and that's good news. My fish of the day was superb. It was lightly crumbled and spicy. It was perfectly cooked and glistening. Portion size is smaller but just enough. Staff was very polite and looking after me very well. Definitely the place I will come back to again.
T.My husband said this is definitely a 5 star experience. We were actually surprised that our 1st meal in Rotorua could be this good. The food and service were both excellent. We had two main coirses- fish and chicken. Fish was fresh and cooked perfectly with very thin crust, chicken was tender and moist with cheese wrapped in. We ordered extra veggies, the veggies were cooked in butter, so yum. Their desserts were also great! Surely recommended if you travel to Rotorua.
C.Wonderful meal and fabulous staff. We felt very welcome, the ambience was terrific and the food delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Next time we're in the region there will be a repeat visit, for sure!

M.A nice combination of relaxed and smart. Coffee was excellent. Easy to find position on Fenton St, main road into centre of Rotorua. Can walk into town from here, 10 - 15 minutes.

L.Always good. Seafood chowder my favourite for lunch over the years. Dropped in for a glass of wine and some yummy chips/fries. Worth supporting in these times. (Don't confuse with poorly reviewed cafe with similar name)
D.The superb restaurant in Rotorua. The chowder soup is a bit full, while the mussel and pork belly are awesome and juicy. The starter already filled our stomachs. The main is the lamb fillet, with mild sheep taste, but very juicy and fresh. The flies are freshly made, with crispy taste. I love this a lot. With so many dishes, it is around 120. Certainly, we two can’t finish all.
A.Amazing dinner spot in Rotovegas. Pictured is scotch fillet. Everything was fantastic—attentive service, good ambience and good food and beverage options. Especially impressed with the fried banana spring roll dessert, it’s Filipino-inspired (turon) but with a beautiful gourmet execution and presentation.

Fabulous food.
Prawn cocktail to start- flavours were outstanding and we realised we were in for a treat.
I ordered the eye fillet, rare and this was cooked to perfection. Truffle mash was great, not too strong.
Partner had the venison and this was also an absolute delight. The chocolate chilli sauce was amazing.
We were back the next morning for breakfast.
I truly believe you could have anything off this menu and be truely impressed.
I'm devastated that we are only in town for two days and don't get to enjoy something of this standard on a regular basis.

—When I went to cash out, I realized that I’d forgotten my wallet at the hotel, the cashier recommended that I add my bill to my hotel, the Silver Fern. Very convenient.
LOCATION
—The location is easy to get to especially if you are in a car. If you are walking, it could be a good leisure walk; definitely easy to find.

L.this is a place I've been wanting to try for year's and luckily today it was open when we drove past.
warmly greeted and we had our choice of table too which was a nice change. staff were very friendly and accommodating.
I opted for one of the kid's menu options of crumbed chicken tenders and salad which was delicious. hubby went with bacon and eggs (an old favourite of his).
overall very happy with my decision to dine here.
D.I have eaten tons of Eggs Benedict but the one I had here is top notch. Been a vegetarian I chose the Mushroom beny. Mushrooms were fat and juicy and very tasty indeed. Glad that this place is vegetarian friendly. Well done!

S.We’re staying locally for the weekend and got the lamb main as takeaways life dinner last night, it was amazing! Then we were looking for somewhere nice and easy for lunch for two adults and two kids. Urbano went down a treat with everyone which is rare in our family with two fussy kids and parents who like it a bit gourmet. Will definitely return next time we’re in Rotorua. Thanks Urbano!
L.They had a wide selection of dishes and really, really smooth coffee! The kids pizza was fairly bland and our kid wouldn't eat it, but everything else was solid!
Edit: We went back a second day and were blown away by the customer service. The waiter had remembered what table we sat at the two days prior! Tried new dishes and really loved them: nourish salad bowl, eggs benny, and the granola and yogurt. Coffee was still as delicious the second time around!

D.I had been at the Urbano several month ago for afternoon tea and loved it. The scones and the service was fabulous. And so we wnt there again for dinner. And what should I say. The food was fantastic and the service again very friendly. I had the Ostrich,. A special of the day. Never tried this before - mind blowing. The meat, the quality, the way and art it was prepared.
I can recommend this place without doubt.

J.Walked in without a booking and they were warm friendly and very obliging. Service excellent. Meal delish...generous portion and we sent back totally empty plates and had wonderfully happy tummies. (Just right). Nicely humming with happy customers, comfy seating. Look for the fairylights on fenton street.
A.I love the atmosphere in Urbano. Coffee was excellent and reasonable price. I had a gig, nut and chocolate slice which was excellent. Meals are on the higher price range but everything coming out of the kitchen looks great. Always excellent service - attentive but you don't feel rushed.
