Came for drinks at the end of the night on A Sunday. We had a really enjoyable night watching winter Olympics on their phenomenal screens. Guiness and tawny port wine were delicious. Would come again.

They were quite short handed apparently but you would never know going by the service. They were great. Amazing meals, fantastic service and great atmosphere. Zach on the bar was one of the best I've come across for a while. Couldn't find fault anywhere. Hygiene was high on everyone's agenda and it was very noticeably a very well run ship. Everyone knew their jobs and did it well.

Had dinner at this place and was a great experience. The look, size and taste of our Tuesday 'Steak & Ale' dinner was superb. Steak was perfect and a good portion of chips and a fab tasty coleslaw. Not to mention the glass of beverage. A $20 bargain! Regan and Cate were exceptional with their service and professionalism. Thanks for a great meal!

So good, down the earth. Setting is completely comply and open. Beers on tap are excellent the UFC on the big screen.. along with the winter Olympics on another... great place, take your mates, get a cab or an uber, have a great time get merry grab a feed.

The decor has been updated and it's lovely. The outside on a beautiful day is awesome with the opened roof top. Staff friendly, food and drinks amazing. Highly recommend for a stop in or a night out 👍

Been here on a stag night and it was a good time, seems to be always busy/popular. This most recent visit was for dinner and a few drinks, the food was good, probably a good 7-8 out of 10 rating. Was yum, well presented and filling. My group of 6 all ordered different things and they were all yum and filling. Us 3 guys all have good decent appetites when it comes to meal size so if you are a guy reading this, the meals are decent, especially with a couple bevys. Decent atmosphere. Recommend

A decent place for a Guinness and some pub food to fill you up. We went for dinner. Enjoyed the Guinness Pie and found it to be a reasonable sized serving, quite filling, partner had Bangers and Mash. Tables were a bit sticky - it felt mildly like a when you accidentally find yourself in a nightclub before they have turned the lights down and the music up, but it's still sticky from the night before and you're way too sober for this.

Had a wonderful Friday night out here. The staff were a happy helpful lot who could not have done more to make our night enjoyable. Their joy was contagious too that just made us want to stay longer. As did the great band they had playing. The place was well lit and clean which just made for a fantasic atmosphere all round. Looking very much forward to returning. The food and drinks were lovely too but it was definitely the staff and atmosphere that really made it memorable.

This place has just had a make over and it looks really lovely, they have a nice outside area with chairs and tables and big beanbags with lots of nice tables to kick back and relax near. I got the pinacolada cocktail which was nice. The music in here was really good as well, a good vibe and a very chill place. Love it.

Called in for a quick burger, was a little expensive at $27 but was huge and tasty and had plenty of chips. Service was really quick, 5 meal's out in 10 minutes during dinner time, all the food looked great.

We visited after new years as two families. The service is amazing, wish I got their names. Both young, a male and female, happy to be at work! The kids menu is fabulous, and such awesome value for money. I had twins and they were so relaxed, offered to clean my baby utensils and even brought out an extra ice cream even though the babies were sharing a meal. The meals are honestly outstanding and great value. The kids meals come as a platter with individual plates for each item, makes the kids eat better! And the little coupon to redeem ice cream is a real hoot for them. Thanks team. You made our day! So much so we came back the next day and will always visit when we travel through.

While the food was good. The service was ridiculously slow. Waited for well over an hour for our meal and we were here at an off peak time (arrived 2.30pm). Weren't short on staff. Disappointed that we had to wait so long for a simple meal.

I have to be honest, we were heading to Plateau Restaurant but it was full. I suggested we check out Finn's as I had not been there for years and we were not disappointed. What they have done with this iteration of the bar/restaurant is really great. I had a very yummy and generous Pork Belly that was only $27. That's a bargain! The restaurant section is really nicely done and even features a very large screen if you were wanting to dine and watch the rugby. I know I will be.

Visit in the evening. The chief and the service are really good in the evening. At lunch time I felt a little meh with the place but the evening service and food are really good. Plus they sell hats with Finn's logo and they are particularly classy. If your a local they are well worth a weekly visit. If you are just passing through don't miss out. Go in through the restaurant door if you would prefer seated service. The decor is interesting and gives you something to discuss as you wait for your excellent meal. Try the steak, it is really good.

Mostly good experiences at this place but there was one night a few months ago where it was extremely packed and there were no guards where the live band was performing. Even saw one scumbag walk all over the couches, ignoring peoples bags, jackets or people sitting on the couches to stand all over them to find his friends. I reckon the parents that brought him up should've smacked him harder.

Service was fantastic, nice family friendly atmosphere with great music. Food was amazing, burgers, chips and pizza's were delicious and filling especially with the large size meat patties, beef and chicken. Definitely going back before we head back home and highly recommend to family and friends if they come to Taupō.

My partner and I were looking for a place to have dinner on Monday 15th, was bit late around 9pm and there was just few customers (raining) but the two girls FOH welcomed us with a pretty cool attitude on top of that the food was perfectly cooked, my 350gr sirloin was outstanding and the Monday's special (banger & mash) was pretty tasty. I can tell you more great things about this place but better if you try it by yourself. We really enjoyed guys, thanks.

We went for the Friday fish and chips for $15. It is a decent feed for 15 buks and I would recommend this to everyone. Just one thing if you could please lay off the dressing on the salad.... Ours salads were drenched in dressing but other that that well worth the money. Cool tidy bar aswell.

Absolutely loved this place. Went here for a bachelor's party and there was a good mix of young/old, conversations/dancing, and ladies/guys. They had live music out the front and a DJ on the inside. There was even a big patio to have a few quite drinks and good yarns.

Nice spot in Taupo, the outside deck is a bit dark in the evening so avoid as there isn't any lights. Be aware they struggle to get food out when large groups are around. Took us over an hour to get ours. Otherwise nice place to have a few drinks.

We ordered the Guinness pie and ribs on a Saturday night, not the best time to go here. The kids had a playroom which made the wait slightly better but when the food came, we had no cutlery, napkins or fizzy drinks which were part of the kids' meals. Most of the other diners who came in between 6 and 7 pm had to look at one another for average of 45 minutes like us. Just be prepared. Drink lots and play pool to get by maybe.
