Amazing cafe. Fast service. Great coffee. Delicious food 💕

Benny & Brew have, in my opinion, the best smashed avo on toast in Tauranga (and I've tried a fair few!). Their avo to bread ratio is perfect and extra sides are always sizeable – I always add bacon and halloumi for a filling meal. I do miss the old version of the Avo Cuddle (please bring back the crispy kale!) but this version (pictured) is also delightfully delicious. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast I've had in a long while, the coffee was done perfectly and their Hey Benny is to die for. Highly reccomend giving this place a try. (Edit) Just a little update, I've been going here for quite a while now and they have yet to dissapoint me. The consistency, vibrant flavors, and exciting new additions to the menu have me back again and again. If you are to visit ANY cafe in Tauranga, make it this one.

The front of house were super helpful and very nice, I had the Eggs Benny with smoked salmon and it was freaking amazing. Coffee was amazing and food came out fast! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go again 😁😁

As other reviews have said, they all stand true - I can confirm that! Visited Benny & Brew, had Avo Cuddle with Bacon and Iced Latte which both were amazing! The Bread seem nice and soft, had perfectly toasted, avo on top with the salad and dressing was perfect. Didn't take any photo's but both were amazing. After sitting there for an hour, I found it to be a local's favourite and apparently their chocolate mousse was everyone's favourite. Being curious, I took it as takeaway for late night dessert. When the time came in night, I had experienced abit of shock of being lost a precious item, all worried up the chocolate mousse was outside. I thought lets have that first before it melts. and Ohhh mann the flavour seriously made me forget what I was thinking before such a nice texture with couple of layer of surprise hidden underneath the mousse. Yummmm. In mater of mins It was finished and I came back to my reality, amazed and writing this review. Glad I choose them over other Mount Cafe's near the beach. Give it a go guys.

Had the most amazing lunch today at Benny and Brew. The green bowl was fantastic ! Such great flavors and loved the dressing with the salad!! 🥰🥰🥰 and the fries! Oh dear! The fries....just perfect! Thank you

Genuinely one of the best cafes in Tauranga! Friendly local with a consistently great menu and cabinet food options. Worth a trip over the bridge for all those Mount locals that don't tend to venture over this way often! We love this place.

We were cruising around looking for a lunch place to eat and came across this place. We struck lucky as they had a table and the place was filling fast soon after. Their menu was full of gluten free choices, so my wife as a coeliac was very pleased to have options. We absolutely loved the food, the very friendly staff and the intimate settings of the place and would recommend this place to anyone. We would gladly return. Thanks.

What an dream cafe! Being new to the area I am always exploring new cafe spots that are happy to have my little daughter and I. Benny and Brew were OUTSTANDING!! Such a friendly, happy vibe, and very helpful, I cant thank you enough! I had such a lovely relaxing lunch that was delicious so thank you so much! Cant wait to bring my mum for a visit!

Love this place! Sometime the coffee is a little bitter. But the food and atmosphere well make up for it. I take my daughter there (she's 1 and a half) for dates all the time. Super friendly staff and great location.

Came in for a coffee today and ordered a jam and cheese croissant. Was not disappointed, it was one of the best croissants I've had in a long time. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Loved the atmosphere. Will be back!

French Bistro in an urban setting . The owner, chef and host are all the same person which has to be admired. Service was great and food delightful although having another staff member may be a consideration. We will be back .

Busy little cafe, with very friendly staff. The place has a liquor license, serving locally crafted beer, so that was really nice. Food was really good however, the menu was... well, no other way to explain it so I'll straight up: pretentious. Smashed avocado and kombucha might be your thing, but not mine. I had to order the poached egg on bread and add a side of bacon, and another side of hash browns to build a solid kiwi cooked breakfast. Brunch for 2 and 1/2 (30 month old toddler) cost over $70. Nice experience I guess, but no justification to return.

Lovely food, yet when my breakfast was served, there was no salt/pepper or cutlery. Had to get off my seat and go and find it, even though after serving my food the waitress did pushed in a chair in, on table near us where salt/pepper & cutlery was. Really cool little spot. Staff are extremely friendly. Love their mochas. Stepped out of my comfort zone and got the Buddah bowl. I am not the biggest salad or veg eater by any means but it sounded too nice not to go for it. Damn was it good. Also had others asking me where I got it cause it looked so pleasing to the eye as well as my belly. Well done on using really great quality ingredients. Will definitely be a weekly regular after this experience

Just had a fabulous evening meal at Benny and Brew. Only open Thursday- Saturday, booking probably essential as it is sooooo good! Had the lightest, tastiest Gnocchi I have ever had in NZ - like eating clouds of goodness! Followed by the Lamb main and a Brulee dessert. All tasty, fresh and well presented. Great beverage selection. Cozy restaurant and attentive staff. Loved it, booked for next week (the menu changes fortnightly! So you need to keep returning...!) and could reccomend to anyone. Goodluck team, keep up the great work.

Our expectations were very high when we visited Tahlula's cafe, as we are fortunate to know Tahlee who owns it. We weren't disappointed, you feel welcome the minute you walk in. There are fresh flowers on the table, the menu makes it hard to choose, the food is divine. If you don't want to choose from the menu, there is a great selection of cabinet food, not to mention muffins, bliss balls and pretty much everything else in between. The locals are so lucky to have a great cafe so handy....

I had a burger and chips which was about $24. The meal was average and over priced for the quality of the food. I also had a friand which was soggy. It has an overall interesting menu and the service is good. For now, until the quality improves to justify high price I won't be returning. I will be sticking with Quantum Vis Eatery opposite the hospital. I believe Grange is under new ownership however the owner is abroad most of the time. I hope these are teething problems as I would prefer to eat local.
