Popped in here by chance and so glad I did! Friendly warm service, everyone's food looked delicious and their house-made mince and cheese pie was hand on heart the best pie I've had in my life... Cheesy, delicious savoury mince and buttery pastry 👌🏼👌🏼Amazing!

Great cafe, I would highly recommend them. I would say they have the best Hot Chocolate in Tauranga, if not New Zealand!!! If you have a particular way you want your hot drink and find it's hard to get it just right - then go to Cafe Essence! I am never disappointed. My husband enjoys his coffee. The menu and cabinet has a great variety as well as being really yum! Prices are reasonable. I can't recommend this cafe enough, definitely work trying.
