S.What a GEM we stumbled upon here when staying for a nearby wedding! Beautiful room, delicious breakfast, lovely accomodating staff... I am glad the wedding venue was fully booked and we were lucky enough to be staying here instead. Thank you :)
G.I couldn’t have asked for a more incredible place to stay for an anniversary - its absolutely beautiful. The hosts are warm and welcoming and make sure you have everything that you need. They have a wonderful connection with the local restaurant, The Shires, who provide excellent meals and have lovely staff who bring it right to your suite. The suite itself is cosy and has all the space you could need plus some.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway, a place to stay before/after a wedding then the Roost is for you.
J.What an absolutely incredible bed and breakfast! We've just had the most gorgeous stay here. The Romantic Retreat, in their Premium Suite. Complete with welcome sign, cocktails, cheese board, bubbles, catered dinner and fully cooked breakfast! And a spa pool right outside the door, ready to step into. Super friendly and welcoming hosts, who made it a priority that our stay was excellent. The suite is sumptuous, every care and thought has gone into a stay here. The meal catered by "The Shires", local restaurant was exceptional. The BEST seafood chowder I've ever had, the servings were huge! Thank you so much Linda and Graeme for a stunning night away and making it so special for us. If you're considering a stay, you will not be disappointed at all, one night is not enough.
T.We recently had the great pleasure of bringing a large family group to stay at The Roost.
Linda and Graeme have created very clever, beautiful accommodation that offers sleeping arrangements to suit everyone. The rooms were perfect as was the large tasty cooked breakfast served in the delightful courtyard.
We will be back for a longer stay soon and highly recommend The Roost in Waiuku.
K.Our stay here was fantastic. we were at a wedding at castaways so ended up booking here. We couldn't have found better for what we needed. The place is spick and span, lovely outdoor areas, very comfy beds, tea, coffee (plunger too), plenty of milk and breakfast was so great, deliciously cooked hot food, plus muesli, yoghurt, peaches, orange juice, coffee already plunged, music on, table laid, it was so cool! Hosts were so so lovely, accommodating, friendly and helpful. Linda emailed me back with all my millions of questions before and during our stay.
What a great place, we will be back if we ever stay in Waiuku again!

P.We stayed at The Roost the night before our daughter's wedding, and the groom and groomsmen got ready there on the morning of the wedding. Our hosts Linda and Graeme at The Roost were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They looked after the guys so well, really went above and beyond what we expected. The rooms were excellent, very comfortable with great facilities, and the bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Breakfast was lovely in the dining room, and the table & chairs on the patio outside our room was the perfect spot for an early coffee watching the sunrise. Overall, a perfect stay and I highly recommend The Roost, fantastic place. Thank you Linda & Graeme.
K.We stayed here for our mini honeymoon on Saturday 18th July! Our good friends got us a night here for our wedding. What an absolute pleasure, Linda & Graeme are such beautiful souls 😍 the place is a perfect little get away for two. Even better there was a spa which we spent a lot of time in & Linda's homemade chutney was to die for!! Definitely recommend you try this place out.
C.A hidden treasure in Waiuku - the room was splendid - clean tidy very comfortable beds - a lot of thought has been put into the presentation and the enjoyment of the stay by the owners. Would highly recommend to anyone - Linda & Graeme - excellent ideas and very well thought out. Would give you 10 stars if we could.
B.I booked The Roost for guests at my wedding in Nov 2018 and can not recommend this place enough! From the start Linda was so helpful in the booking process. The guests raved about there rooms being clean, warm and the beds are super comfy! The breakfast the next day was great too! They also provided a ride to and from the wedding venue (castaways) which made life so easy. If you are after superb hospitality and accomodation stay here for sure!

Spotless linen, super comfy beds, big suites and rooms. We had the entire house as we, (8 of us), were attending a family wedding. We are all related - but we still like our privacy and we had plenty at The Roost. Couldn't hear anyone else in the property move or snore!
Excellent rooms, very well appointed and very comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. No traffic noise. Views over the garden and area, and chickens! No one was overlooking the house.
Lovely courtyard for drinks, breakfast or dinner. Excellent breakfast both mornings, supplied by Linda and Graeme (the excellent hosts)
Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
A Superior Bed and Breakfast!
R.Absolutely amazing place to stay. My friends and I had come to stay for the night after a friend's wedding. J.The Roost is a beautiful place to stay. This was our second visit and Graeme and Linda are very welcoming. We stayed in the Premium Suite and the bed 🛌 is very comfortable and the en-suite very good. Lovely choice of tea ☕️ and coffee ☕️. It was my birthday and there was a nice bottle of bubbles on our arrival. We will definitely go back. Highly recommended. Thanks.

W.My wife and I stayed at The Roost on our wedding night. We could not have hoped for a better way to finish off an already amazing day!
The place is very nicely decked-out with all the amenities we needed to unwind. The honeymoon house is very secluded yet romantic, cozy and lovely. To top things off, Linda is THE PERFECT host. From arranging viewing to taking us in via shuttle, from having a candle-lit path ready for us, to cooking us a scrumptious breakkie the day after, she thought of every little details.
Will be back again for sure!

D.The Roost is amazing, have just returned a week ago from our second stay and love it even more. Linda & Graeme are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and everything is perfect. Homemade prune cake with cream cheese icing awaiting us as we walked in, yummy! Incredible cooked breakfasts, best we've ever had. We loved our suite and we are going back every time we need a couple of days of complete relaxation. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to feel pampered. The best thing about The Roost though is Linda & Graeme, they are lovely genuine people and that alone is just so welcoming. We'll be back!

They were welcomed with a cheese platter wine the fire roaring and robes and a nice note on the bed. They were made an amazing breakfast which was delivered to there room. S.Amazing location, absolutely the best hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Stayed here to attend a wedding locally but next time I'll book an extra night just so I can enjoy the room (the bed was out of this world comfy) the food (breakfast was just beautiful) and the view (incredible rural outlook and so peaceful). S.The Roost was fully booked the weekend we needed but Linda very graciously arranged accommodation at another property under her care.
The hosts there, Jim and Phyl, were lovely and made us feel like part of the family.
Their property was in a delightful semi rural setting very close to town. The rooms and other facilities available to us were of a very high standard, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
Linda is a fabulous host and we have no hesitation recommending The Roost to anyone looking for top notch accommodation in Waiuku...even if they are full, never fear, as Linda has a trick or two up her sleeve!!

R.What a pleasure it was staying at the roost, firstly the owners are truly kind and caring of any needs you may have while also giving you the space to do as you please, the breakfast was a nice touch bacon eggs sausage eggs on toast fried potatoes and tomato all made fresh for you when you are ready for it, as for the accommodation its self, it is very neat and comfortable like a home away from home with plenty of areas for entertainment. Solid 11/10 from me, I cant wait for another reason to stay at the roost. Merry xmas

L.For large parties needing accommodation in Waiuku, this is probably the best place to book. We were in Waiku for a special occasion and had a chance to go to other accommodation in the area. But only Roost had adjoining rooms, plush bed and bedding, indoor and outdoor fireplace, Netflix in all rooms, a bath, unlimited wifi for last minute research and emailing AND mobile reception for constant comms. Plus the hosts went over and beyond to meet our needs and were super friendly to my elderly parents. I honestly can't imagine staying elsewhere when in Waiuku again.

The courtyard was large with good covered table seating, and bar area. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the spa pool just topped it off.
