W.A bit busy for my liking, but pies to die for! The wedges were good too. You can see why the place is crowded. For all that the staff are very efficient and don't keep you waiting long.
C.The best steak & mushrooms pie I've had in Whangarei hands down 🔥🤤 So huge, big chunks of meat with creamy mushroom at the bottom 🔥 cost $7.50 but definitely worth the money
N.Nice and affordable cafe. Loved the mocha. I would had given 5 stars but I was disappointed with 2 things one my husband ordered the cappuccino it was too light couldn't taste anything and the omelette i ordered needed some reasoning to taste otherwise it was a nice experience
K.Very delicious food with plenty to choose from at a reasonable price. Heaps of parking. Staff are friendly and accommodate children well. They even went the extra mile when I wanted more butter for my toast - didn't cost extra. Eggs Benedict was divine and the portion size awesome as I had to take one home in a doggy bag...yummy for dinner later. Would definitely go back and also recommend to others.
J.Delicious, home made, quality food with great service. I was so surprised in that the 3 surrounding restaurants were almost empty & that I was encouraged by friends to queue for lunch.
There were so many staff to provide quick service & our order was taken so quickly. There was steak & kidney stew, prawn & pineapple seared salad, homemade specialty pies & cakes, & so much more. Great value for money, wholesome goods of good proportions.

M.I really wanted some fish but they were sold out on a Friday at 1:20pm, I.e at lunch time so had to order something quickly since only found out when placing order.
A.As a stop off en route Serenity Cafe was a pleasant surprise. An extensive and varied menu to cater for ravenous and modest eaters alike, clean restrooms and top notch service. I'd definitely go back. Serenity Cafe knows what it's doing and does it well.

A.Great Cafe had eggs bene here and it was really good 👍 awesome coffee too / only slight downside was there was a bit too much cream cheese spread on the muffins.
E.Very good meals here. Went for dinner and returned for Breakfast! The basics done very well. Fish n chips were fresh and not oily. Pies were generous with filling and not filled up with gravy.

A.Very pleasant atmosphere great fish and chips, hamburger or BLT. They make the most amazing pies, I must admit that I have not tried it yet cause I always have something that comes with chip, the best on town. Staff very efficient and friendly.

A.Good place for a bite. Best pies in town, crispy dough and tasty filling. Nice range of food and reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Lots of in and outdoor seating. Carpark close by and a good starting point for a stroll around the area. Don't forget to visit the glass bower's studio/gallery around the corner.

This is a busy little cafe... there are obvious reasons why.
Outstanding little place to eat, drink and be with friends. A stone's throw from a very cool children's playground and handy to the clock museum and other stores along the riverside.
M.Food and drinks arrived without major delay. Would be great if they used house made hollandaise vs packet. Good serving of creamy mushrooms but was pretty bland.
E.Food was OK.. Not too much to choose from.. I eat out a lot and it was not amazing just OK... Nicely presented.. Very busy place not that fantastic to sit inside too close to kitchen and in walking traffic.. Bit like a rush in rush out scenario..
T.Yum. Great service and we went for a late lunch. 6.1 foot 16yo had the steak burger. HUGE! He has a big appetite and was sorted for the rest of the day. (ie no dinner required) Amazing cappuccino for me.

H.Lovely setting and food. Plenty of parks but have to pay and display but pricing is far better than Auckland so no big deal. We had Nachos which couldn't be finished, home made pies are meaty and yummy and do try the apple shortbread with whipped cream, to die for. Thumbs up to great coffee and friendly staff. A must visit next time up.

I.Great food, not as pretty a view as those on the harbour side round the corner but worth staying for a different menu to others in the area and cheaper than the restaurants nearby.
