I love getting new devices at this store because there's always great deals. Often you get something at a very reasonable price and when staff check the price, it turns out there's a further discount or sale. Super recommend this store for friendly staff and great variety in product.

Visited JB-HI-FI Wairau last weekend and had the best experience buying an apple watch. Jay had amazing service. Especially since we had just been across the road to Noel Leeming and had an awful customer experience! Really impressed.

Lack of staff on, why does Apple only want their newest stock on sale, makes it hard to buy another Apple product. Staff seemed unsure about what stick they had on hand

The JB HI Fi Wairau branch has always provided excellent customer service for the many years we have shopped there. A further example of this was today when the Manager Jenna fixed an issue that was not caused by her store but went out of her way to do the right thing. The store and its staff continue to be helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I have had to return purchases under warranty in the past caused by manufacturing issues and they made the whole process extremely easy and hassle free. Far easier than dealing with the manufacturer. You know you can trust them even post sale to make it right and that’s when it matters. Would shop there above other stores without hesitation

Music far to loud at entrance. Customer service was knowledgeable and friendly. Didn't feel pressured to buy the warranty but bought anyway as I thought it would be beneficial for the extra two year at just over $20 for the replacement like for like if conks out in 3 years. Bought food saver as was good deal at $99 for standard model with two extra bag rolls. Lady knew her stuff and was helpful and polite.

I visit this Tech-Centric treasure trove whenever I 'Really Need' some cool stuff; most recently a 'Wake-Me-Up' digital radio and then a Bluetooth speaker so I could appreciate Leighton Smith's wisdom while playing in my garden. While you can do Solo-Don't-Bother-Me of that's your thing, I typically put my hand up to take advantage of the deep knowledge of the Retail Helpers... and, in my experience they have consistently gone Above&Beyond to find what I was looking for; often in that mysterious place 'Out-the-back.' 😎 Great range of Goodies and helpful people... Highly Recommended... by Kiwi about an Aussie Org. 😊

Staff is super helpful. I bought lots of things here and always meet nice and friendly staff. Most of them are knowledgeable about the products and will let you know if there are any better deals. I just recently returned a faulty product and 2 friendly staff helped me through the process without any hassle.

JB is okay, often goods are presented well but I did see something on sale and I couldn't tell what it was, the box didn't say, the promotional sign didn't say, I think maybe it was a dehumidifier. Seemed odd. It's kind of weird now that they sell vacuum cleaners and kettles. Still a pretty handy place to grab memory cards and USB cables.

Called into the store today 17 Jan 2021 @ 1205pm waited and ooked for assistance for 15mins and managed to get help after she had been assisting someone else... they should promote the female sales assistant CHARNEY the only staff member working on the floor at that time everyone decided to go to lunch store was super busy as well. Thank you Charney for your assistance if it wasn't for her we would have walked out. Managers need to sort out your weekend staff you get 5 stars for the sales assistant not how your store does business that's a 2 sorry.

Clean & tidy store. I wanted to purchase a dehumidifer, and couldn't rouse any interest in serving me from the sales staff. The cashiers were most helpful in locating one, who was then able to make an easy sale.

Great store for most of your technology items including home-ware and games. The only decent store to actually get back catalog of DVDs and CDs. We bought alot of items from this store and other JBs. Our juicer died within warranty and they swapped out for a new one very quickly without hassle. The team here is knowledgeable and makes our shopping experience better. Their prices are also highly competitive. Careful with their parking as it is tight and exit/entry is tricky during peak times. Visit early or later in the day if possible!

Excellent values when items you want are on special... Unbeatable as always from JB..not even with pride match from competitors. On the day we were there, we had to call to follow up on our online order from previous day. Then when we arrived to pick up, the staff was not familiar with the bundle deal advertised then I had to remind him who then referred to a supervisor. I felt I knew more than the staff about their offerings. The staff mood overall wasn't energetic and almost felt like some staff on the day there didn't want to be there. Ample parking at the front and better if not easier access than the one in Albany Mall.

Staff were really helpful when the product we i brought was actually sold out in Albany, they quickly called up another store (Wairau) if they had stock there, so that I can just pick it up from. The whole process was very quick and easy! 😁

UPDATE: Managed to return the product and the staff provided a resolution I was very happy with. Have updated review score accordingly. Really nice to have this sorted and see a manager being empathetic and compassionate. Original review- Did not provide enough info about the product I purchased, meaning I had to return it and when I went back their hours were listed incorrectly on Google so they were closed (by 10 mins). Staff have me sass at the door. No apology. Really hacked off that I’ll have to go back yet again.

Really gotta hand it to some of the staff and their very personal knowledge which helped give me all of the bluntly honest internet routers advice I needed just now. However, unfortunately even with a little price help, they're still like $50-100 more expensive than competitors so the excellent service wasn't quite enough that I needed.
