After having a traumatic experience at another Apple repair provider in Queenstown I rung Mac Ops to see if they could step in and fix my laptop. Not only did they offer exceptional advice on the phone, but they also picked up my laptop to repair it, repaired it at half the price I was quoted by the other company and now it is back in excellent working condition. Total rock-star service! My phone died while we were in Covid-19 Alert Level 2 and Mac Ops had me covered. Phone was under warranty, they had a replacement in stock within 24 hours and not only replaced my phone, they also backed up all my data from the old phone and transferred it to the new one and whacked a glass screen protector on it. I can't speak too highly of the service I received at Mac Ops. I had a corrupted SD card which contained 1500 photos, and I was facing the possibility of losing all of them. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they identified the problem immediately, explaining that I may not have all my photos retrieved, but they would do their best. After a few days, I had to leave my SD card to continue its treatment with Mac Ops, and returned to Auckland. Within a week, I received a new SD card with all my photos in tact. Macops and iMeet is a great place to work if you need a space to work on your computer. They have computers you can plug into, strong wifi, a quiet room to take phone calls, and a nice view. If you need your computer, phone, or other electronics fixed go see Bevan!

Very fast, helpful and friendly business! Would 100% recommend to others. I had to do a warranty claim with Apple for my iPhone 11 Pro. Noel Leeming (who I purchased the phone from) had my phone for 5 days “trying” to fix it and then said it could easily take up to a month to get it turned around (repaired or replaced) with Apple. I went to Mac Ops and they could get a new replacement in under a week. They also plugged it in, called Apple and did a hardware test to confirm what the issue was before taking it from me (<10mins). I was also given a iPhone 8 loan phone whilst mine was sent to Apple. Yes it was $40 for the handling fee (it would have been free with NL) but they were fast, friendly, helpful and reliable (not to mention gave me a decent loan phone that actually worked unlike NL).

Mac Ops is an amazing place. We bought a DJI Osmo Pocket Camera from them and they sent the filters on to where we were staying in Wanka. They couldn't repair our Apple mouse but they sold us a refurbished one for a great price that is still going strong. The customer service here was fantastic. I was travelling from Canada with my MacBook Air and was having trouble with the power & charging thru a converter. I thought I had fried my Apple charger, or worse, but the Mac Ops team quickly offered to swap out the adapter plug for the local NZ configuration - AT NO CHARGE! When in Queenstown NZ, always try Mac-Ops first for Apple advice/repair. My advice is experience based after comparison of available services in Queenstown. Mac-Ops via owners Jo and Bevan Clarke, provided the very best understanding, service quality, and advice for my Apple devices, going way beyond expected normal customer service. As an Apple user since 1994, my usual practise is to use an Apple Authorised service provider, which has served me well until this year. Travel restrictions placed me in Queenstown during my travels from Australia, and I required some MacBookAir attention. Unfortunately, things went very wrong at the Apple establishment and Mac- Ops was consulted to gain assistance in regaining lost data. It should be noted that Mac-Ops undertakes Apple repairs at high quality and will refer to an Apple dealer (likely Invercargill or customer choice) if AppleCare warranty work is required. It is not true that Apple will void warranty if undertaken by a non Apple Authorised agent in all cases, under consumer protection legislation. I am a genuine customer and have no financial connection to Mac-Ops.

First of all, so sorry that this is review is soooo late. I was traveling through New Zealand way back in Nov/Dec 2019 when I needed to recover hundreds of deleted images from my iPhone (I transferred these photos to another iPhone, deleted them - then that target iPhone was sadly stolen). The Mac Ops staff were very kind and allowed me to use a MacBook that they had available. They gave me an internet connection, refreshments and all of the time that I needed to resolve my problem. Ultimately, I didn't solve the problem while at their location. However, everything they gave me eventually led me to obtaining exactly what I needed and I was able to restore ALL of my "lost" photos. These guys saved my vacation! During confinement, I stumbled across their business card that was tucked away in my wallet. I was supposed to submit this review a long time ago. They could have easily charged me for the use of the MacBook, internet connection, etc. They didn't charge me anything. I was assured that they genuinely just wanted to help me out. I have a feeling that you'll be treated fairly if you require their services. All the best guys and thanks, again, for your kindness!

I contacted them on Facebook the next day, had an answer a few minutes later and have been advised of the exact price for the repairs. Extremely helpful and efficient, they ordered me a new screen straight away. A few days later, I've been told to come whenever I was free to change the screen. I literally just picked my phone up with my new screen, brand new. They have done an incredible job from the first friendly/professional reply on Facebook till the drop off and pick up of the phone. AMAZING SERVICE. AMAZING TEAM. This is the absolute best Apple Store in the entire world. I had some problems with my Macbook not charging here in Queenstown. I had brought a new charger the week before. I originally took it to Deep Focus as this is were I had purchased the charger. They were quite literally the rudest and most useless store I have ever encountered. It took almost 10 days before they even looked at it. Then they couldn't find it for 2 days. Then they told me my device was dusty and it would never work again. Suggesting that I replace my two year old machine for a whopping $4000. I spoke with Apple California who suggested (after over a week and 11.5 hours of international mobile minutes) that I got a second opinion. I got in contact with Mac Ops who organised for me to bring it in and they would send it to another authorised reseller for the second opinion. I went and collected my device from Deepfocus ( who had suggested they just keep it and dispose of it as it would never work again) to take take it into town. Upon arriving and opening the Macbook Pro at Mac Ops I was horrified to discover that DeepFocus had actually cracked my screen at the bottom. Without saying a word!! Disgusting customer service. The guys in Mac Ops were AMAZING. They listened to everything I said, (which was quite a story by this point)understood what I meant and immediately started looking for a solution. They sent the device away to specialist Tim, who looked at it as soon as it was in is shop. Within 24 hours he had it on and fully charged. He ran tests and diagnostics and couldn't find any problems with the device. So after cleaning the interior, replacing a broken port and the entire display Mac Ops and Tim had it back to me good as new within a week. Throughout the whole process the team at Mac Ops kept me updated every single step of the way. Mac Ops are a truly wonderful business that really have the best interests of the customers at heart. They are kind, understanding and incredibly knowledgeable. 100% recommend to anyone! Do not use DeepFocus!!!!

The customer service at Mac ops was excellent. We turned up with an iPhone 5s that wouldn't charge. We were seen straight away and the technician asked us to wait for a few minutes whilst he checked the phone. He came back within 3 minutes and the phone was mended as it was just some fluff that got stuck in the charging port. As my husband drew out his wallet, he said there is no charge. 1st Review for GREAT SERVICE & TOTALLY TRUSTWORTHY - August 2018 I had a great experience with Mac Ops having issues with my Mac Pro whilst visiting from abroad. My Mac Pro opened and then closed and reopened with a question mark. I tried researching the problem on my wife’s Mac Air, and it seemed to point to either having to reload the software. Called Mac Ops ant they kindly tried to walk me thought a reload of the software, but since my system failed to show u for a reload, I decided to take the laptop to Mac Ops for diagnosis and resolution. Having dropped off the laptop, I received a text within 2 hours advising a cable needed to be replaced, providing a very reasonable quote, Mac Ops succeeded in obtaining the cable replacement the next day, and contacted me for pick up early afternoon. The entire staff is responsive, friendly and professional, as well as trustworthy and reliable. Overall a great experience with an A Team. 2nd Review - totally trustworthy SEPTEMBER 2018 When we picked up my MacPro following the service described above, my wife noticed a Mac Pro, the same as mine, which had been refurbished by Mac Ops. We returned later and negotiated an agreed upon price, and Mac Ops agreed to transfer the data and files from the MacAir. My wife was able to test out the MacPro, and all was fine, except for the battery, which failed to hold a charge. Since we were departing the following day for a flight to Australia, we were unable to return to MacOps, so sent an email explaining the problem with the battery. MacOps stepped up and sent a new replacement battery, with an explanation of how to change out the battery, with the required screw drivers. This high level of customer service reinforced my rating of 5 stars and they actually deserve 5 stars+. I only wish they lived and worked in our vicinity.

Had a wee liquid accident with my 15" Macbook Pro and ended up damaging the screen. The official apple support would charge a ridiculous amount to, basically, replace all the internal components (except the one that actually had a problem - the screen). Took the machine to MacOps to see if they could help me. They did a liquid treatment, tried with a new screen and, surprise.. it works! We exchanged quite a few emails before I actually got to the shop. They were great at responding my emails, answering all my questions end were really upfront on if/how they could help me and how much it would cost so I wouldn't have any surprises at the end. After my Iphone stopped charging a week ago, I went to MacOps to get it fixed. I was told that they probably have to exchange parts and it would cost 115 $ which is quite a lot for a poor little backpacker. When I came back after an hour, it turned out that my phone only needed cleaning and cleaning would only be 40$. When I pulled out my wallet to happily pay the 40$, the lady said that it was fixed just in no time, so there is no charge! Respect. They could have charged me 115$ without me noticing it.
