We used BB to help fix up our deck. This included replacing some boards and strengthening the foundations. Great communication. Was communicated what would and would not be done and everything was done as was communicated. Deck looked great and was overall happy. Job took 1.5 days. Very punctual and pleasant to be around. Overall was happy but was disappointed with the finishing where there were gaps left between the timber (was advised due to pine shrinking within a couple of weeks of install).

David and Nick were fantastic. Super quick to get back to me, incredibly thorough, and really helpful. David spent a lot of time walking us through the options for our deck and garden fence based on the ideas we had, managed the project seamlessly, and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful when we had a few questions. The quality of the work was fantastic too, which is always a bonus! I'd absolutely recommend them. We've a few other projects in mind for later in the year and will be using them again without hesitation.

Our high deck had a lot of movement, the balustrade was below a safe height and also in need of replacement, additionally we wanted a a privacy screen added, and needed a carport removed. David from Bakers Builds visited our site the day after I contacted him, discussed what could be done and sent through an estimate that evening. After deciding to proceed I heard from Nick who discussed the options and then sent through a detailed fixed price quote. Work commenced two weeks later after a week delay, and took 3.5 days with with Des and Thomas. Des cleaned up the site each day, checked with me on key details as work progressed, and was both friendly and hard working. Nick visited the site to check on progress and that it was as I expected, saw an unrelated structural issue that needed remedy and sorted it. Both David and Nick visited on the final morning to check I was happy with the outcome. The final day was under time pressure to complete which resulted in a couple of minor finishing details (if you have a discerning eye), but overall I am happy with the experience, and the result which is a rock solid, safe and better looking deck, and will look to use Bakers Builds for any future building projects.

David, Nick and their team deserves more than a 5 star. I had a bad experience with another company so had to find alternative, lost my trust in people. David & Nick went above and beyond to accommodate me in every way to help me overcome my trust issues due to my bad experience previously. Not only they changed their conditions for me, they started the job a week earlier and finished it ahead of scheduled date. They did everything to bring my vision to life adding a beautiful deck onto my new property, at the same time gave me back my trust in people. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for all that you’ve both done to make my deck project process a successful one this year, you’ve achieved what I nearly gave up on, appreciate you guys more than you’ll ever know. Highly recommended, keep up the great work, the world needs more guys like you both for your honest amazing work ethics.

Really impressed with David & Nick. They were easy to deal with, quick to get back to me and built our deck efficiently and with good workmanship. I enjoyed the way Nick discussed all the options with me to make sure we were happy before proceeding onto the next phase of the build. And his suggestions were good. We love our new deck. Would definitely recommend.

Thanks to David, Nick and team for the replacement solid carport to replace our broken, leaking original. From first visit for a quote and discussion of options through to choices for replacement, demolition and rebuild we were given advice and options. We were aware there may be delays with some products, which made a short break before the last stages were completed.

I was really happy with the work done. Really friendly and you can sense a pride in their work done. Prompt and responsive, really happy to ask answer question so so what you want done fits to to the work completed.

David and the team are absolute legends! They are among the most professional, communicative, and timely people we have ever dealt with. Turnaround time on viewing and quoting was great and the whole job was sorted quickly (exceeding expectations). Before photo was when we had emergency plumbing work done a while ago. After was the stellar job done by Bakers Builds. Any work requirements in the future and we will definitely be coming back! Thanks heaps.

David was fantastic to deal with. Came in to quote on a fence and deck rebuild within 2 days of request (and just 3 days before Christmas). Got started promptly, and the communication was first rate. Called us every day to let me know what was done and the check that we were happy every step of the way. The quality of the construction was to a very high standard and David went out of his way to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. Highly recommended A++++++

So it all begin one morning, sending an email to these guys inquiring about decking our backyard and out comes a phone call 1 min later from David. Quickest response ive ever experienced in regards to tradies. Next thing you know, booked a time on a weekend for quick on-site quote. From there on it was a matter of getting the job done. David and his team was able to meet my needs, quickly start the job and deliver on the promised goods. Our backward is amazing! thanks for Mana and his boys in having to work in some unfavourable conditions (Auckland weather, mud, narrow access to the backward) to deliver a quality built deck. Definitely will recommend them. Highly responsive, professional, will get onto any issues you have or encounter and deliver.

It was a pleasure to work with Dave, Troy, Christine and crew. Super responsive from our first enquiry and great communication throughout the whole process. They were competitively priced and did a beautiful job on our deck extension.

Highly recommend Bakers Build, they were quick to identify the cause of a significant leak that occurred. Not only this, David and his team had great communication, let us know what the plan was and made sure it worked around us. David and his team were amazing and I feel very lucky that they were able to renovate my Queenstown bathroom so quickly and efficiently. Not only were his entire team an absolute pleasure to have around but David was full of ideas on how to make the best of the space we had available. David and his team are the best. The job was maintenance - decking, stairs and window frame. The work was top notch. Good value and a high standard. These guys are great communicators too. Highly recommended.

What an awesome Builder and company. David organised everything from the plumber, plasterer and builder to work in with my schedule to repair the damage of my hot water cylinder which leaked and damaged the surrounding walls. He kept me in the loop at all times at the start of each day in the morning. David and his team are professional and family oriented they have repaired the damage as quick as possible to alleviate the stress. David helped me when others were busy especially nearing Xmas next week. I had an unreliable builder who left my house insecure with incomplete cladding and all mess for about 2 months. We had lost hopes/lot of money on reno work for our house. David and Fou came to review my property situation. Promptly listening to our painful story they decided to promptly secure my house without any upfront deposit, prioritised and secured my house in just 3 days. Very fast service, reliable and friendly. I had some odd jobs that needed doing to prep our house for sale - things that I don't have the tools to do - like fixing the fence, changing doorknobs and repairing the ceiling. They did a good job, highly recommended!

I have a rental that had suffered areas of damage from previous tenants in many rooms. I did not want the cost of a full fill and re-paint just patches re-done and I needed it all quickly. The work was carried out as instructed that week and i was continuously updated on progress. The job was exactly what I wanted done quickly and efficiently.

Extremely quick turnaround of quote and work - which is rare in Auckland. They built a deck for me in a week and worked late to maximise the daylight hours to finish on time. Lots of communication and questions about the work to ensure it was all going in the right direction. Highly recommend.

They said they were aiming to be as best as we can be. Indeed they put in the effort to do so. A great 'final' product by a talented bunch of people (that wasn't ever in doubt). Very simple & courteous bunch /team. The project wasn't without issues (discussed this frankly) - but they took suggestions on board and fixed it. Earnestly wanted to please me. I am a tradie skeptic; but you can put your faith in Baker-builds, well-led by David and Fou (business owners).
