My 2 level 35 year old townhouse has 2 original membrane roofs, where I have been concerned about potential leaks along with rotten facial boards & a deck. I met Hamid on site where he confirmed the membrane was at end of life, but also the whole roof structure wasn’t built correctly. He also pointed out other issues such as flashings installed incorrectly & more rot in places I hadn’t noticed. The house was also due for a complete paint job as well. We then talked through all the options where Hamid gave an honest approximate cost for each item that needed attention & then his recommendation taking into consideration what was most economical for the customer e.g. scaffolding was needed to fix the roof where the bulk of the cost was to put the scaffolding up & pull it down, therefore utilizing this to attend to other issues & painting. In the end it made sense to attend to all issues & we agreed on a time & materials basis. What I really liked about this arrangement was that the weekly invoice was open & clear showing the makeup of the hours such as who did the work & when they clocked on / off, original invoices on material costs & Hamid’s agreed margin which we had a written master builders agreement on. I could also contact Hamid anytime to discuss openly any charges which he clearly explained to me. In terms of the builders, James was my main contact. He turned up religiously each morning & always put in a solid days work which I witnessed many times when I worked from home. He was more than happy to answer any questions or concerns & I found him very communicative. I felt the apprentices also put in a solid days work & they all worked well as a team. In terms of workmanship, which lets face it, is the customers biggest concern, I was more than happy with the job which has absolutely transformed my place. Little details like the angles on the decks, balustrade design, covered corners where the weatherboards meet, sills added under the upstairs windows etc etc. I was so happy with the outside work & dealing with James that I asked if he could undertake replacing the toilet & vanity in the downstairs bathroom & re-tiling the floor where the existing vanity was taken out while I was away on holiday for 2 weeks. I came back to find James had completed the entire bathroom himself including the tiling & painting the whole room to an excellent standard – he is a man of many talents!! In terms of other tradies such as the painter, plumber, membrane installer, roofer & scaffolding company, every team was great to deal with & completed everything to a high standard. Hamid mentioned when we talked through the job that he had taken the time to find good “subbies” & build a good honest relationship with them which I can clearly see at the end of the job. I certainly found dealing with one person & having the reassurance that they had all the right contacts & was dealing with them directly meant the job went well & is certainly how I was left feeling. The Your Builder team are a really great bunch of guys to work with. As an electrician its important to be well organised to manage my business successfully. Hamid is big on his systems meaning scheduling is always clear and there is continual communication between builders and sub-trades with where the project is at making sure we are on-site getting the job done when we need to be. We've done some great builds together so far, for some great clients who have been really happy through the project knowing that budget and schedule is tracked carefully. Can always take pride in my work knowing we're building to a beautiful finish.

We had a small repair job requiring structural work on our carport located under our house. Hamid was excellent to deal with and fast to respond to any queries we had. At all times they were very professional including keeping us up to on building progress, variations to contract and costs versus budget. The team on site did an excellent job. I have been working for Your Builder as their Administrator for the past 3 years. I enjoy working with the team as they are really good guys, hard workers and trustworthy. There is a real team spirit among the staff which makes it a great place to work. Being in the office I often have to deal with both clients and subcontractors. Communication and ensuring that projects are running to budget is important to us. With the help of the systems we have in place like Co-construct and Xero we are able to keep track of how things are running and relay that information to the clients. James, the foreman and his team did an exceptional job of the renovation. they were professional, on time and worked to a very high standard. They also gave suggestions to improve the finished result, and to save costs. Their communication is very professional and we were kept informed of all work that was done. All variations that were requested, were priced up and approved before any additional work was done. We recently added a large deck some 2.5 meters off the ground with serious engineering, various retaining walls and fencing, and overhauled our living room, joinery and kitchen. This included adding a woodburner and changing over to gas hobs and califont. We had a great experience and love the result which has transformed our house. I can and do thoroughly recommend the building services of Your Builder. From the very beginning Hamid and his team were professional, friendly and transparent with costs and margins. They worked in well with our architect and engineer quickly getting to grips with our plans and suggesting improvements and other approaches where helpful. Always on time, appropriately staffed for each phase of work, the work was carried out efficiently and always to the highest standards of building. Many other builders and friends have been impressed by the resulting craftsmanship. Every day the site was left clean and safe. Throughout we had our precious dog on site through it all they made sure she her gate was always locked. All their sub-contractors were held to their own high standards of skill and professionalism. Your Builder’s knowledge of the building code is thorough and our final inspection for CCC went smoothly and was approved first time. I was thoroughly impressed during my time contracting with Yourbuiler. After contracting to other operations both larger and of equitable size, I was impressed by the level of transparency, efficiency and co-operation delivered to not only clients but contractors alike. I have yet to find another company that utilises the available technology so effectively to deliver outstanding results for clients. The use of the ‘CoConstruct’ APP as a platform to budget & schedule check, review, time keep and communicate meant that clients could query anything they wanted during the build process. This also meant we hit intended budgets and timelines as they were always on hand. Yourbuilders focus on team culture and ‘can-do’ attitude made my time working there really enjoyable. The open lines of communication was vital when situations occurred on site that may have required extra/remedial work. Amazing Team! I rang up Hamid to do an outdoor patio renovation that was quite technical which included re concreting a stainless and cedar facade into place.I thought the job would take between 4 to 5 days but the boys finished in 2 and a half days and well under budget ,which i was very happy about not to mention the great attention to detail they put on it .I was a bit stuck on a few areas on what to do with the facade but was given some amazing ideas from Hamid on how to finish it which we incorporated into the job .His team was great to have around and showed the ut most professional hard working manners you expect from a master building company ! i would definitely recommend your builder on any job big or small and will sure to use him on another project i have coming up in the near future .

I can 100% recommend Hamid and his team. They recently undertook a partial reclad of our house and a bathroom renovation. Complete project management by Hamid made the whole process so easy and unstressful. Their friendly, approachable, completely transparent approach to everything from costs to timescales to best approach to the task made everything so manageable for us. Even when unexpected things turned up (like finding our piling had completely rotted away and so the house was effectively floating) their explanation of what needed to be done, upfront costs for the extra work and very fast fixing of the problem made what could have been a stressful situation easy. A couple of hiccups with sub contractors also occurred but Hamid's handling of the situation was great - he did all liaison and got them back to put things right straight away. We found their site management to be impeccable, their time keeping exemplary (the hours these guys work is humbling), and the online app for monitoring the job is a great added extra. All in all, a great experience and we will be recommending them to everyone.

Your Builder completed a bathroom and deck renovation for us in early 2018. They also replaced posts and joists in the basement and constructed a nib wall to prevent water getting under the house. We found their builders to be professional, highly skilled, fast and extremely hard workers. They were very good at problem solving and a pleasure to deal with. The system of online communication also worked well and any concerns were swiftly dealt with. We are delighted with the end result.
