Dean and Robyn at Level Construction have to be Wanaka’s best builders! Choosing them as as our builder was the best decision we could have made as the quality of the work is outstanding and they were such a pleasure to deal with. They kept us up to date on every aspect of the build, which was no small feat with Covid supply issues and lockdowns. They were simply a delight to deal with. Dean ran the build seamlessly and Robyn ran the office and design and fittings selection process. As so much had to be done remotely, this combined team made the build so much easier. The quality and range of their sub-contractors and contacts meant great access to local supplies and professionals. Every recommendation that came from them was well considered and so appreciated. Their commitment to our build and their attention to detail means there is nothing about our house we would change – we absolutely love it and so much of that is due to them.

Amazing, special, wonderful company. Right from our initial meeting, I was more than impressed with Dean’s professional, efficient and infectious attitude. Dean worked closely with my architect through the entire project and made the process appear to be seamless. The house included two challenging gabion basket end walls and Dean took on the challenge with enthusiasm and came up with a resourceful and innovative method to construct and complete the walls. Both Dean and Robyn are easy to talk to, they listen and are responsive and proud of the quality of their work. I have received many comments on the high standard of workmanship and the quality of the build. You don’t see this high standard of workmanship in many new houses today. I cannot recommend Level Construction enough. If I ever build again I will definitely use Dean and Robyn.

Are you building in Wanaka or surrounds? We unreservedly recommend Dean and Robyn Millar at Level Construction. We have just moved into our new home, and we are still convinced that we chose the best team in the area. We are absolutely delighted with the result, and would like to acknowledge their commitment to us during the build. From the very beginning we involved Dean in the process of collaboration with our architect Chris Norman. Dean offered insights and suggestions that have been incorporated into our design as a result. During the build he has worked closely with Chris to achieve the outcome envisaged. Dean is a highly regarded Master Builder and was Project Manager for large building companies in the area prior to going back out in his own name. This gave us total confidence that his work would be meticulous and that the project would flow as seamlessly as possible on a building site. It’s been clear to us that the other professionals on the job also have a high regard for Dean’s workmanship and project management. Robyn offers complementary skills to their partnership in coordinating interior design decisions, and fittings selection. She has very good taste and listens carefully to what you are trying to achieve. If you are building whilst living outside Wanaka this is a wonderful service because Robyn has access to local talent and supplies - for all the things you can’t easily do from afar. Robyn’s attention to detail and follow through is far beyond what I know is the norm. Dean and Robyn are are at the top of their game. Were we to build again, we’d just go straight back to them.
